Cursor spontaneously jump instead of random text when entering.

It's maddening. My cursor jumps randomly to a place randomly in Windows 7 whenever I type... I end up having to locate where there jumpted when my slot is more tape my text, back out the junk in the place text at random, back to my slot and continue typing.

This happens CONSTANTLY... and it's okay if it's Word, Notepad or a textbox on the form online.

(FYI, it is not the laptop mouse pad. I experimented to the breeding of the Palms above the keyboard to see if it still happens. Although a uncomfortable test, I could clearly exclude this as the source of the problem... what happens even when I am nowhere near the pad).

Does anyone know how to turn off the trackpad when you use a mouse, or advise on what the problem is - when I type happily away and I'm fast enough, I suddenly find I type in the middle of what I typed already, instead of at the end of the line as usual. I tried to turn off the trackpad by using Fn F9, but it doesn't seem to work... there at - it another way to disable it?

  • Windows 8 cursor jumps in the existing text and continues to type here rather than the finish line that I am on, anyone else spotted the same thing?

Just upgraded to Windows 7 to 8, using MS Office Word 2010, worked well on Win 7, but now type text and the cursor suddenly jumps into the existing text and continues typing, rather than the finish line that I'm on.  Thought, I was accidentally touched for touch pad or other keys, so now consciously look for this but can find nothing on my part.  Have experienced it before with a processor OS Linux and Open Source, when the OS has been updated.  Think there may be a loophole to WIN 8.  It also happens when keying in the screens like this, that has happened twice while here. Someone else spotted the same thing?  Or is it just me?

Also, anyone know how to disable "Open Tap" on the Mouse touchpad of the notebook, its annoying, I could disable in WINDOWS 7 but cannot know how Win8.

When you type text, cursor jumps suddenly to a point in the text already entered.  Use Ctrl Z to recover.  How to stop this?

I use Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron.

I recently did a "clean boot" who has cured a problem of high CPU usage, but left me this cursor jumping problem.  I have to look at the screen as I type to be aware of these breaks that often occur at random.

    Hello Malcolm,

Yours is a laptop? If so, you're probably brushing the touchpad with your Palm or fingers. The easiest way around this problem is with an external mouse with touchpad disabled. To disable the touchpad go to control panel, Manager of devices and look under the mouse or HID for her. Then, right-click on it and select Disable (not uninstall - it will reinstall itself only if you do).

You can also connect an external mouse and select the option for Notification of Touchpad to disable the touchpad when an external mouse is present. This setting can be found in the mouse properties dialog.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

This has nothing to do with Windows 7 in particular, if it is on
a laptop computer, that behavior gives strongly suggests that you are accidentally
brush your hand against the touchpad when you type.

I found the solution for it, I change the cursor by using code in the following onFocus and onUnFocus methods:

    setCursorPosition (getText () .length ())

    Invalidate();

Return super.onFocus (branch); For the onfocus method

    Return super.onUnFocus (); Method onunfocus

My cursor keeps jumping everywhere when I type. How can I stop this?

    Hello

Because the keyboard is integrated in the casing of the laptop, just the vibration caused by typing can cause the touchpad the cursor or initiate a click, depending on sensitivity settings.

You must disable the touchpad when typing. Most modern laptops provide an option or a keyboard shortcut to get there.

The following keyboard shortcuts have been known to disable the touchpad on different systems. N Fand hold and then press F4, F6, F7, or F12 to disable the Touchpad.

Specific instructions, read the instructions for your system or contact the support of laptop manufacturers.

When I scroll with the wheel of the mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse, it jumps instead of sliding to the bottom of the page.  It ignores even the large amounts.  This can be solved? Rose

    Hi Rose,

The problem occurs on specific applications?

This can be for one of the following reasons:
    1. bad mouse is selected in the IntelliPoint software.
    2. conflict with other mouse or pointer (non-Microsoft) software.
    3. problem with IntelliPoint software or drivers.
4 application does not correctly recognize scrolling the mouse messages.

I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the KB article:

Note: Put the computer to normal mode after the troubleshooting in clean boot mode.
