It sounds like you may have a defective battery.  I suggest you go back to the place of purchase for an Exchange if possible.

  • Smartphones Blackberry Curve 8520 blackBerry battery gets really hot, the battery dies.

I have a blackberry 8520, I've had it for about 2 months now.  My blackberry battery gets really hot for the hour, the battery dies.  This happens randomly.  First time it happened to me I was in a movie theater and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I he was wearing my belt and got home on fort.  I do not keep applications running and usually only use the phone for txts and emails. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and it has the same problem.  My blackberry is updated with the latest version of the software.  Anyone else have this same problem?  Any advice on what could be the problem?  Thank you

Even if you do not, there was probably an application running in the background, even left a current Web browser.

Or, your battery could be bad. It happens. If the problem persists, you can redeem it at your local retailer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9330 misfortunes red light :(

    Hello

I have a 9330 who is having a few problems this morning. I ran a software update to this topic last night and after that he went to restart, it no longer works. My phone is double my staff and my work cell, so I desperately need! I saw another thread to a kind of cloth for her but I did not know if it works for me, and also I need to redownload OS.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, "it no longer works" gives us nothing to do, so we must guess. A description of exactly what happens when you make a suitable battery pop reboot would be much more useful.

However, to reload your operating system...

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for each model. Please use those as a reference as you go along.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    • KB19915 How to perform a clean reload of the smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software application software

Those who fail, you can try using BBSAK (bbsak.org) utility, which can often retrieve a bricked BB.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Smartphones blackBerry key-separators in lines of money / is it a Bold 9700 or 9780?

    Hello!

I ordered the Bold 9780 but I'm afraid, I had another model delivered instead (most likely the 9700). As they are almost identical in design, I have a very specific question on these 'key - separator lines' (don't no how else to call). I mean these horizontal lines between the rows of keys.

One of the differences in the design seems to be that the 9700 separators has MONEY. They are much darker on the 9780, and certainly NO money--and that's what I ordered actually.

Here is an example, and the difference is clearly visible:

    http://www.Pocket-lint.com/news/106909-BlackBerry-bold-9700-vs-BlackBerry-bold-9780

After much research (photos and videos), I believe these silver separators are a feature of the 9700. If someone here can confirm this? Or are there opportunities to get an official statement on this subject of BlackBerry itself?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Welcome to the Germany

    Hey gary_young,

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

The BlackBerry 9780 smartphone is out with a silver and black design between the keys. An easy way to determine which model you use is to go to settings > system > about, as your service provider can verify this with the BlackBerry PIN.

Some of the main differences are:

Internal flash memory is 256 MB (BlackBerry Bold 9700)

Internal flash memory is 512 MB (BlackBerry Bold 9780)

3.2 MP camera (BlackBerry Bold 9700)
    5.0 megapixels (BlackBerry Bold 9780)

Comes with OS 5.0 (BlackBerry Bold 9700)

Comes with OS 6.0 (BlackBerry Bold 9780)

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • Curve Smartphones blackBerry without service Blackberry in Norway?

Hello. It is a follow-up question to another post.

I'm in Norway for 6 months. I have T-mobile USA with the Blackberry service that I intend to suspend this period of 6 months. The only provider of services of Blackberry in Norway (Trigcom) does not allow a 6 month subscription (1 year), do not know if others do.

I was just wondering, if I have the telephone service by a telephone company with no Blackberry service, which features in my phone I have not will be able to use. I can survive without the push email service using Google's Gmail for this period. But I rely on web browsing, google chat, google maps and other services intensively. I also use T - mobile UMA much, which works very well at home. The phone itself is excellent, so I was hoping to just put a SIM card and use everything normally except for the push e-mail and UMA.

Does anyone have experience with the help of a curve without Blackberry service while retaining all the features above? Ask yourself what to ask because I get a mobile service provider.

    Thank you!

    Hello

without a BlackBerry service, you have GSM and edge (no EDGE).
This means that you can do with your BlackBerry

    • phone calls (send & receive)
    • SMS (send & receive)
    • MMS (send & receive)
    • anything that requires no internet

especially, no navigation available, unless you have a Wi - Fi connection on your device.

  • Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry battery drain! Help, please!

Hello world. I desperately need help. Until a week ago my bb curve worked very well. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive MMS. I checked to make sure that nothing has changed with my service plan, and it was beautiful. Then, a few days ago, my battery started to drain quickly. I don't use internet on this subject, I use not all applications other than those basic, and I use only all day. It charges all night while I SLEEP, and then, at the point where I did with a 7-hour working day, the battery is dead. I just checked right now, not yet watched because I took it off the charger, 2 hours ago and its already lost a brick and a half. By reading some things on the internet it looks like apps fast battery drain. But since I do not use those, what would it be? I also wifi and blue tooth off the power, so it cannot be the ones. Looks like a coincidence little precise that my picture messages stop working, and now the battery is dying. Any help? The phone is only a few months, so this seems weird. And for reference, it's a curve 8520 and I use Tmobile. Thank you!!

It's strange. Have you made a difficult start (removed the battery for a few minutes) to clear the memory? Sometimes things get hung up

I use quite a few apps on my own and always close when I leave them, to keep them from power draining. Even with photos, music, Twitter and the Internet, I have to recharge every two or three days.

Mabes, it seems to me that your phone has developed a problem, and you can return to your provider, expecially since it's so new.

  • BlackBerry Curve Smartphones to synchronize with Outlook - could not find in the file system table

I just upgraded from a Pearl to a curve, loaded the desktop software and tried to sync my MS Outlook, but it gives an error message "Cannot find table in the file system.

I found a thread that advocates a solution (ID KB15278), but it did not work.  The final solution is to uninstall and reinstall the desktop software, and when I try to do it via the Control Panel, it will not remove the software.  I seem to have both Version 4.2 and 4.7 of the software on my PC.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9360 with clock freezing point Curve every few minutes?

    Hiya,

I have this problem with my BB C 9360. It does this when I have NO background running application except the ubiquitous five - BBM, MSG, calls browser (do not use!, but it is just there still-_-) and home. There is no white behind the clock widget screen, but sometimes, when she disappears a white creen flashes, like, a second and then my BB starts frantically trying to do things, he was invited to before freezing - it's frustrating and I'm worried - it is barely 2 months old!

I looked through forums and other things and everyone says its cos of the apps but I have 1 single extra application on my bb and I actually removed 2 apps it is came with; PPL say it's because of the memory full, but I only have about 300 songs and 100 photos on a 16 MB Memory Card o___O

He started last week and gradually started from 1 - 2 times per day for 1-2 times every 5 MINUTES this morning, while I was trying to delete some MSG and using bbm surveys

HELP I don't know what the problem with it...

in the browser options = clear the Cache, clear the cache in all the other apps that have a cache, also on the home screen press and hold the ALT key and press LG LG then optiions clear log. should accelerate and stop the gel as well
