I often receive emails from clients who have problems with the app world. For example: they can't access their account, or their blackberry crashed and that they can't re - download my program.

I tell them there is nothing I can do, and they must contact App World support to solve their problem.

But where do I send them? Is there an email I can give them to put them in contact with App World? Usually, I send them to http://us.blackberry.com/support/blackberryappworld.jsp , but this page doesn't seem to be very useful for the majority of the problems described for me.

Where do you send your clients to App World support?

    It seems that Apple has forgotten customers along the way.  I have been struggling with my iPhone for about 6 months... and it does not work.  I spoke with not less than 10 "Senior" advisors to solve problems and each of them said 'ILS' would be the one to solve it.  6 months and I have not heard a thing from ANY of them.  The reason for which I had no less than 10 is because I have to keep the call to know why I have not been contacted, and if nothing is done yet.  I get a new rep who takes responsibility... and we start again.  A rep sent me a free, external $ 250 HDD for my troubles.  He's very nice, but my phone still does not work.  I believe that the last time I called on this issue has been more than a month.  I gave up and I use workarounds with my phone.  In the process, I lost all my texts.  This may not seem like a huge loss... but for me, I had the very first text I've ever sent since the first iPhone.

    Now, today I just got got off the phone with a "man" who tells me that a refund can take up to 30 days!  He also informed me that he could not talk to my bank on the issue of letting them know that there is a billing error.  I was charged $380 when it should have been $378.  For this reason, I was charged for $380 but they refund $378, which does not correspond to my Bank... and they cannot fix.  Add to that the brevity of the agent and apparently no empathy for the situation.  At some point, I stopped for about 15 seconds because he kept talking about me.

    I used really really praising Apple's Support.  I really felt it was the best support on the planet, but it is really falling short nowaday.

    I feel rejected in both of these situations and must change.

    I'm sitting here today without my money... and the Apple support showed me how much they care about that!

    I don't even know if it's the ideal shape to complain.

    It is not. This is a technical support to the user forum, so we have nothing to do with Apple Customer Support. We work with others to solve problems. Since you're here, why not share with us what is your problem. You never know if someone here has run on it at one time or another.

  • MotoCare and Motorola customer support is a joke

    I bought MotoCare ($85) and needed to use it to get a replacement after water damage on my phone Moto X 2 ($800). After sending my phone ($50) and said I would get a replacement in 4 days... I wait 3 weeks and hear nothing.

    I contact the customer support, only to be told that my order was "cancelled". Without more explanation. I can't get a new phone (which I already paid for), I can't get a refund, and I can't even my broken phone back.

    I googled around and found countless stories similar to mine. What the fuck fucks, Motorola.

    You are absolutely right that your purchase of Windows Pro 8.1 pre installed on your Dell computer gives you the right to "downgrade" to Windows 7 Pro.   Microsoft article that you have accessed States that quite simply.  It's a little surprising that someone might hurt interpret that.

    But there is no magic wand that allows to perform this downgrade.  It requires that you wipe your current installation of Windows and reinstall the new version completely yourself, followed by all the drivers required, Windows updates, to application software and data.  A tedious business, more so if you do not regularly.

    But this Microsoft article also says "Microsoft or OEM is obliged to ensure the media for the downgrade."  In other words, you will need to obtain the support of the software, you (as well as all drivers necessary are readily available for download from Dell).  The article also details what to do if your new Windows installation not automatically enabled (call Microsoft on activation by following the instructions in the Windows Activation dialog box - explain that you are without decommissioning 8.1 Pro 7 and they will probably request your code 8.1 activation of the sticker on the PC).

    I have two suggestions on how you can continue to get rid of Windows 8.1.  The simplest is to free upgrade to Windows 10.  This update "in place" can be done directly on your current version of Windows, and it will keep all you software, printers, etc in tact.  Alternatively, if you really want Windows 7 Pro, then I suggest that buy you a recovery disk Dell brand Windows 7 Pro to this site of sale at auction (not mentioned since the forum holds that my posts for review if I insert a link - same links to own Dell site, lol).  The recovery discs sell for less $ $25.  It will take some work to back up your data, install Windows and al, the drivers and application software, but it will certainly work. I can say first hand you that's exactly what I did to my father 3542 the day, he brought home.

    One additional thing that you might consider if you choose to install Windows 7 is to buy a Solid State Disk 250 GB (about $75 these days) drive and replace the current drive by the new Solid State Disk.  This would not only considerably better performance but it will preserve your old installation of Windows and your data if you want to use him (by reinstalling internally in this laptop or put the old mechanical hard disk in a USB enclosure that you connect to the laptop via a port USB.)   So happy with the new installation, you can plug the old drive and it allows to copy your data to the new Solid State Disk.

    I have my windows 8 installation with the assurance that my products purchased from Microsoft survive the 8 Windows Reinstall "refreshed". Well all the Microsoft products were there but would not work. Each gave the error for rerinstall the product I did no problem except for the problem with the streets of travel & which still exists and is completely ignored by Microsoft, according to my research. The error is: "a licensing initialization error has occurred. Please contact customer support for further assistance. Error 0xC004D301 ". I tried all the suggestions that I have met on the internet. The most galling was given by Microsoft technology in its response to this problem. "The license data is probably corrupted" OK, makes sense, BUT how can I fix that you genius. Someone had managed to get the program to work after this error message?

    Success!  Hi John, I don't know if this will solve your problem because I am running windows 8.1 and tries to install streets & trips 2011.  But I had a similar symptom that you knew.  Here's what I did: just right-click on the icon in the start menu, select programs and features.  Uninstall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, I had two.  Then I opened the installation dvd in Explorer, click right on dvdrun, marked the area run as long as administrator (not sure if it did anything or not), hit apply, then double clicked on dvdrun and everything worked.  I could install, validate, save, and run the program!
    A warning, I don't know what are the potential problems that may result in removing these two programs, I hope that if I run into something I can install them again without too much trouble.
