Photosmart C7280 'Radio work' "failed."

I can't get our Photosmart 7280 C to work wireless.

My "Wireless Network Test report" says that the "Radio job" "failed."  The same report said the 'Radio' "success."

The report said "Contact HP support".

This is the site where I need to be?  If so someone can help?

Thank you!

This is not supported for HP.  Here's how to contact HP technical support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on printers & monitors, there is a phone number on the resulting page).

Try to reset the printer: turn the power off, hold it # and 6 keys while and a few seconds after I turn it back on.

There is a hidden menu support with a reset replacement procedure that can help: power on, press both the # and * buttons.  The screen should say something like "enter the special sequence".  Currently, press 1 then 2 then 3 which will bring up a menu of support.  Use of the < and=""> the arrow keys to navigate the menu that says "Hardware reset" or some similar.   Once reset the hardware has been selected, press OK, OK.  Once it is finished press Cancel (X) to move up one level in the menu, then scroll down to find "ink initialization", then press OK.

This model has a permanent printheads which cannot be deleted (or replaced). Unfortunately, I didn't know all the solutions beyond the reset of the printer, if the option is to fix the printer.

As you have noted, it is not likely to be economic for this model.  If contact you HP they may offer a discount on a printer replacement, although I've seen people indicate that careful shopping can beat the discount price of HP.  AFAIK there is that no HP models currently use fixed print heads, these have replaceable user in current models.

The "abnormal termination" message will occur any time the printer has an error with a code (0 x.rror) assert condition.  At this point, the confused printer and do not realize that the power to close properly.

  • PhotoSmart C7200, Radio / on collar, Radio Working/fail-does that mean? Printer does not print

    Printer does not print wireless

    Hello harleyray,

UPDATE would be the best option to do.

You will need to call the HP Technical Support to get an UPGRADE for your printer option.

If you are in the United States, the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836.

If you're not in the United States, and then connect to www.hp.com , bottom left it is an icon of the world map, click it and then select the region that you belong to, which would then provide the support options for you for this region.

    Kind regards

  • Photosmart C7280 network connection failed in Setup

I get a "error can not connect to the network. I'm trying to set this printer at an Airport Extreme wireless network using WPA/WPA2 encryption but not luck...

  • Photosmart C7280 will not communicate with the network. The diagnosis says that the Radio does not

Photosmart C7280 C5582A work through a MacBook via a Mac (OS 10.5.7) wireless router was working fine last week.  Today when I tried to print, the printer was stuck in the "printing page 37%.  When I checked the Print Manager, the printer was "slowed" and since I had a lot of trouble with this printer connection before losing, I did what HP told me the last time which was to remove the printer and then recharge it.  Except that this time, once the printer has been deleted, he could not find the printer even after I restarted the wizard and reinstated the SSID and WPA many times.  I have reset the printer and the router by turning off and disconnect power provided, but he still had the same problem.  When I ran the diagnosis, he told me: 'Pass on Radio, Radio work on failure, not plugged cable Ethernet-Pass' the rest of diagnosis is "not run" and other data on diagnostic tests are the Mac addess.  The Diagnostic says the "wireless radio does not work.  Contact HP support.  Unfortunately, it's evening Sat and HP support is closed.  Any help or is this printer dead?  (I spent a fortune on ink cartridges)

It is indeed a hardware problem then.  I'm sorry.

I always believe that repair costs would be better put towards buying a new printer.

However, there may be options that I'm not aware where do not have access to.  This document has some support listed options.

However, I recommend you contact HP support at the 1-800-474-6836 (to the United States and Canada).  Phone support can provide that more than an estimate on the repair or replacement of the printer with HP and you could compare this with the cost of a new printer.

A new printer is under warranty and most likely to be an improvement on an older printer.

  • my wireless radio does not work on my hp photosmart c7280

My newtowrk is running. I recently had to erase hard drive and reload. My wireless hp photosmart C7280 all-in-one does not work.

  • HP Photosmart C7280 solutions Center does not work after Windows 7 32 bit upgrade

I recently updated my operating system from Windows Vista to Windows 7 (32 bit).  Before the upgrade, my C7280 worked fine using the center of Solution and in my home wireless network.  After the upgrade to Windows 7 and download and install PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe, version 13.1.0, Solution Center does not work.

At the opening of the solution Center, it displays disconnected printer.  Using the Wireless Setup Wizard, the printer connects to the network.  I can open the Solution Center and it works very well for about 3 seconds and then goes to the printer disconnected mode.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software update for Windows 7 package C7280 repeatedly and with the same results.  I downloaded and installed the patches and still no change.

I finally had to restore my computer to original operating system.  After the computer back to its original configuration, I used the original to HP Photosmart printer disk to reinstall the driver for Windows Vista.  Everything worked as before.  Then I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.  Yet once, he told me that the HP Photosmart C7280 printer was not compatible with Windows 7.  I uninstalled the printer driver and run Windows 7 upgrade advisor.  This time, I have not received any message about the C7280 printer.

I installed upgrading to Windows 7 (32-bit), and then upgrade the HP Photosmart C7280 for Windows 7 32-bit driver.  Everything works fine now.

  • Photosmart c7280. wireless network.

    Thank you.

Connect the printer with Ethernet is a great alternative and any computer can print, no matter how they are connected to your home network.

  • HP Photosmart C7280 pump motor stalled

I have a HP Photosmart C7280.  I received a Message from "Pump motor stalled with OK" on my screen.  When I press 'OK', the printer goes through a series of clicks and what looks like the head slide back.  Then I get a message "ink system failure".  (0xc05d0082 error code).  The message tells me to turn off the printer and then new.   After that, by using the power button, I received the following: "incorrect stop" you did not properly stop the computer...  Then the printer will automatically adjust the cycle to the motor 'Pump' message to a standstill

I'm not real with these things so I write in the hope that a guru out there can help me.  My husband who is refused a "waste of time" and just wants to throw it and buy a new.  This printer is not quite 2 years old.  I can't believe it's the end of his life.  He received the messages to clear only once, but in the day, the cycle had recurred.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Have a C7280. Powered on and "Pump motor stalled" message came. Removed all ink cartridges, closed the printer and click ok. The printer has failed until the cartridge error. Put the cartridges, closed the printer and click ok. It works again.

    I hope this helps.

  • Photosmart C7280 all-in-One Wireless does not

My wireless printing worked great with my Photosmart C7280 at least a year or more and now recently the wireless side no longer works. My Apple (iPad and Macbook) devices has ceased to recognize my printer. Even when I tried to add via IP address, it should not.

My printer works fine when hard cable through my PC and Macbook via USB.

I tried to reset the settings of my network to restore default network printer and adding in my SSID and password. It shows that it is connected. But when I run a Test Page wireless network of in the settings of the printer, it shows everything going on and the signal strength is excellent. However, the final diagnosis in the summary says 'No' to "other networks detected matching your network name (SSID)" so I wonder if my printer actually properly connect my network? Since I have other wireless devices connected to the same SSID.

I turned other devices and the printer off, and then to restart. I turned and turn on the radio wireless settings of the printer.

Another thing I want to mention is that before I deleted the printers in my Apple devices, they still show my Photosmart 7200 series, but said they were inactive.

Also when I was able to enter my Verizon FIOS Broadband Router management software via my browser, it showed all my wireless devices, but it also showed my Photosmart as being inactive wireless, where other devices that were on at the time were connected.

I wonder if it may have been a recent update from Apple that may have caused this problem? However the Verizon Fios also showed the printer as being inactive, so I think not?

I have worked on this issue for the days and spent a ton of time so far, any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I'm about to intermediate level to understand the technical aspects. So please clarify responses to resolution steps very simply in your response.

Honestly, the routers ISP-issued are very problematic.  Restart the Westell pulling on her momentarily just power cable before attempting to connect the printer.

  • Photosmart C7280: Photosmart C7280 disappears don't reinstall due to lack of HPZPRL40

8 days ago, I tried to use the HP Solution Center to scan from my Photosmart C7280.  Solution Center could not say that the device has not been correctly in place and re - install.

I tried a reinstall that failed due to a lack of HPZPRL40 (of course it was not obvious that the dialog box with the error was empty).

The search of the forums I have uninstall leared to use level 4 in the Util/CCC of the downloaded/extract package directory.

It worked!  Until a MS Security update has been applied this week and then the printer had disappeared again.  Now, despite the uninstallation of level 4 running, run SFC (and fix the mistakes of the), and reinstall, 3 - 4 times, always the installation did not finish.  I can add the device like a printer, but I really need the scanning functions.

There must be a way to solve this problem which is not "reformat your hard drive.  Help!

    Hi @Pete-VO.

I can help you with the error you receive.

I just want to confirm, have you tried all the steps suggested in this similar post; Install error "the system cannot find the specified file" (hpzprl40.exe)?

    • using the cleaning brush / uninstall_L4
    • Clear temp directory
    • Download the drivers and full software features

How your printer is connected to your computer. Is this installation USB or wireless?

If it is USB, disconnect the USB cable from your computer when you run uninstall it?

When you have uninstalled the printer software, it is possible that pieces of it may remain which could interfere with a reinstall. I recommend referencing the steps described in this document to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever; Printers HP monofunctional and multifunction - uninstalling the printer software.

You can also delete files using disk cleanup - take care to put check marks in the selection boxes.

Software drivers can hide other places would be in your device manager.

    To open Device Manager:
' 1) click on start (Windows icon) and enter the Device Manager "in the search field.
    2) click on Device Manager.
    (3) you can click on View, in the upper windows and then show hidden devices.
    (4) to develop the types of devices and check for any pilot associated with your printer.
    (5) to remove a device from Device Manager, right click on the device name in the list and then click on uninstall.

For more information, see device for Windows 7 Manager information.

Once you have removed everything, I would use Microsoft Fixit to remove all the hidden files, since it will fix any problem with the registry in the process.

    How to use Microsoft Fixit;

    1. Click on the above link and load the Web site.
    2. Click the run now button.

    3. If you get a long bar at the bottom of your page, click Run

  • Once open, click Accept

  • Choose to detect problems and allow me to select patches to apply

  • Choose uninstall

  • Display the list of available items, you can uninstall, check for anything which would be linked to the printer - also near the top of the appearance of the list of the HP Component Installer files.

Note: You need to uninstall 1 by 1 using the tool of.

  • Once that everything is uninstalled, try to download your software again. Here is the link of drivers and software HP Photosmart c7280 full functionality .

If the problem persists, you could see if anything here will help you;  A "Fatal Error" (error MSI) appears on the computer during Installation of the software under Windows HP.

Please let me know if these steps solved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

    Thank you

  • HP All in One Photosmart C7280 scan issue with Snow Leopard

    Hello

I bought my wife a new cool Mac mini. So it comes with Snow Leopard. We use it for our activities with an HP printer all in one Photosmart C7280. Unfortunately the scanner does not work. I did the mistack to install HP driver from the HP website and read after documentation of the HP Web site (probably like all users). So I decided to completely re-installed the machine (as it was new) and follow the installation procedure for HP who, to say that the pilot is coming up with Snow Leopard. After the new re - install, so I installed 10.6.1 patches and last HP driver from the site Web Apple as mentioned in the forum. (version 2.2)

The printer is correctly detected, but there is no way mak it work the scanner on HP procedures. The scanner is not recognized at all, and the printer configuration window is not appearing the scanning tab as it is supposed to. It seems that the scan part it does not work in one.

We love HP printer and it will be great to see it fixed.

My network configuration is very simple:

-192.168.0.176 is the IP address of the HP printer with 255.255.255.0 netmask

-192.168.0.106 is the MacMini (3.1) IP address mask subnet even

All connected using a router D-Link (5 ports).

Printer/scan function works perfectly on our other Mac systems that are under Leopard. I tried to install Leopard on the new mac mini, but the installation DVD that we have (10.5.4) does not start successfully on the machine. We are so stuck.

    Any help really appreciated

    Jean-Marie

    Hello

Good news, it worked. But I think that the problem came from the D-Link router that I used. Upnp has been set to allow, and it seems he mistook the discovery of the device. I proceed to turn off and the live showed you me overdrawn the printer on the network. I installed it, and the scanner has been recognized.

If I turned my back to Activate Upnp, the scan function is dead. Thus, it probably is a problem of compatibility between the leopard to snow and this Protocol. What is strange, is that our whole system of leopard work with upnp enable or disable.

Anyway thanks a lot for your help!
