• After logon Windows 7 my PC starts but displays the directed message "unable to connect to a windows service.

  You can check if System Event Notification Service is enabled and set to automatic.

  
  Steps to follow:

  1. click on start, select run and type services.msc

  2. scroll down until you find System Event Notification Service and make sure that it is running and set to automatic.

  Also make sure Remote Procedure Call following the same steps above.

  I was wondering if there is a way in DW4 to customize the class drop-down list menu so that it doesn't have a sample of all the styles/class, as I have some pretty wild that really clutter the menu.

  If I rename a .vb in .txt or .sql file, I CAN find the text in the file by using a not indexed search, but if I do not rename the file, simple text search CAN NOT find in the file as a "create table" or "function".  This behavior is pretty useless for a developer.  Is there a way to do this type of research, or any kind of utility "Find Classic" that works like Find in XP?  Thank you.

  To search for the folder C: whole disk in Vista go to start / search and type in ' or '. As you type, you'll see two hyperlinks appear just above where you type and we'll search everywhere.  A click on it.  Who will do a fast indexed search and bring up a dialog box.  Click on advanced search.  Click the drop-down location and find the C: drive and click on it. Check the box "include not indexed, hidden and system files (might be slow).»  Then click on search.  You will now search your entire hard drive to the specified file.  And Yes, this isn't a very effective way to search the entire disk for a file but it is how it is done in Vista.

  I did a search for a character in my book, and each project book came to research (well most of them - all fit in the list without go advanced).  This is because the files .doc, .docx, and Documents are all included in the Index.  I think that if you add .sql and .vb and the location of your files, you'll be able to search by content as well.

  I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

  My favicon display correctly in the Explorer of files (file mode) but display correctly in Internet Explorer. This intrigues me. When I open the Internet Explorer, icons for Favorites OK show to the left of the name of the shortcut file in the Favorites bar and the Favorites bar. However, when I open Windows File Explorer and check out my favorites and folders, the FavIcons are the generic icons globe, not specific icons to websites that shortcuts point to. The links work well. It's just that the FavIcons are generic globes. (Not all, but many). I want the correct FavIcons to show in the view of Windows File Explorer.

  I tried to revisit web sites and dragging the URL (and favicon) of the bar of address of IE in the "Favorites" folder again. Who has not solved the problem. I tried to go to the page of the site and to type the favicon.ico extension and save it, but windows won't let me save it. (Where can they be saved? And how would be attributed to the shortcut in the file Explorer file? Or is it not the way to solve the problem?)

  Is there a way to fix this without having to download an app/program? Is there a way to solve this problem without changing the registry? Or is the simple registry change?

  I want the correct Favicons to display in the file Explorer, and Internet Explorer.

  I searched and found the answer. Also, I realized I had encountered this problem about two years ago and had saved the info of the solution in a Notepad file. On the site, the answer given by Chris H is the solution. It is to delete the icon cache of .db database and allowing windows to create a new. My problem was that the favicons for several favorite shortcuts of IE showed the purple globe (ugly) credits. After that I deleted the icon cache database file, a new file has been created and my favicons are correct for each shortcut.

  There are a few things you can try:

  First: (icon Cache regeneration)

  1. open Folder Options to select (round) display the hidden files and folders.
  2. open a Windows Explorer window.
  3. go to C:\Users\(User Name) \AppData\Local
  4. right click on IconCache.db and click on delete.
  5. click on Yes to confirm the deletion.
  NOTE: This deletes the file to the trash. It is safe to empty the trash when you are done.
  6. close the window.
  7 empty the trash.
  8 restart the computer.
  9. When you return, you'll notice the size of the file IconCache.db is reduced, and the update is now the current date.
  NOTE: If for some reason any IconCache.db isn't there or the size has not changed much, then just restart the computer again. You may need to restart a few times in some cases.
  10. the icon cache has been rebuilt.
  11. Open Folder Options to select (round) do not show the hidden files and folders.

  I've done some research more and similarly to another thread involving the selector, the own only cut the way to do it is by creating a class sup from the drop-down list. However, this one is kind of weird. Once again, with assistance from flash builder, I could see the protected class drop-down list properties and the objective here is the purpose of __button. now the weird part is that its type is a DropDownButton. they took that as an accessible API since the new update. but I managed to make some changes anyway.

  so the solution, create a void called CustomDropDown class that extends the class from the drop-down list. After that, in the constuctor, use the this.__button.getTextFormatForState () method to manipulate the textformat of the button. Here is an example:

  Yet once, it is going to work identical to the drop-down list but instead allows you to set your own font. in fact, you can create a new method which is what I did in the above code, so you can change the font on the fly without having to make five different subclasses just to change the textformat! hope that helps.   What Miss me? Is not the way to do it? The thing I have to do to make sure that the selected item is also rendered using the custom cell or is there a different mechanism for that?

  There is no bug here (in the API, there are some bugs in your code). The question of the selection is because you call implementation of the superclass of the updateItem (...). The display of the selected item is controlled by the button cell, not the cell factory. If you have the permissions to do so, it might be useful to retract or close the jira.

  Hi gcraighammond, I just noticed that you had a problem, a right-click. To change the search engine, click with the left button on the icon and a list of search engine options would fall down.

  Yet once, it doesn't until you move the search box back to the toolbar AND to exit to customize the view.
