Customize the library of images (Explorer)

Hello world
As a member of the community who spends a good amount of time to untangle the library of other peoples problems, according to me, I really should be able to fix this one for myself, but so far without success... so please if someone can help me here...
How to stop records images adding to the picture of the Explorer library? I want to just keep one folder there as a default for the downloads/downloads location, but whenever I'm working from a folder in the gallery it appears immediately as a location in 'photos '... Y at - it a way to stop this, or should I just keep deleting the unwanted places as they appear?
(I removed 'photos' followed by WMP so this isn't a problem - it is just 'explorer')
Thanks - Ric.

I just never go near libraries, but if you want to disable the libraries you can, I would not do this because I do not think that should be done, but you can see: http://www.askvg.com/how-to-disable-libraries-feature-in-windows-7/ or http://lifehacker.com/5354879/disable-the-new-libraries-feature-on-windows-7

The backup location is supposed to be the location that you may have configured. It can be an external hard drive or a CD/DVD.

  • I sent a photo from my phone. How to do it e-mail to the library of images? Mike

I sent some photos from my phone to my ymail account. I can't open the image and save it to the picture library.

I suppose that you use the provided Mail application and you're talking about saving the image on your PC in Windows 8.  If so, click on the email to show.  Click on (or type) on the picture and you should see 3 options: open; Open with; and save.  Click on save and you will be presented with a dialog box to choose the location to save the image.

  • How to customize the display of Windows Explorer to always be details and sort in descending for windows order save under and attach a file?

It is in this way for some applications such as Word and Excel, but not for others, such as Adobe Acrobat, Office Picture Manager and gmail. How can I get the attachment save as and file dialogs to always get to see the detail value?

I think that I thought about it!  Is there a way to have the Save As or tie with a particular view, but only developed dialog boxes for Windows programs. It doesn't seem to work with acrobat, google mail, etc.

In the dialog box after selecting Save as or Attach, modify display and sort columns as you wish. Then hold down the CTRL key while you leave the window. The next time you go into it should reflect what you put last. Don't ask me why this works, or why it only works with Microsoft products. I got this tip on another site.
  • For help. DLL file / library call for the USB camera Image data file

    Hello

I'm new to the use of the library and imaging data files. Attached is a picture of the "call library leader." I don't know how to set up the entry of 'beef' / frame buffer.

More information is explained in the attached PDF file.

Basically, I just need to recover data from image and convert it to a real image. I sought help of LabVIEW and other sites files, but I can't find a clear solution. Any help would be appreciated.

FYI - I can communicate with the camera using other functions of library file. Opens the camera, I can set/view KING and other data. I can't quite understand the frame buffer.

  • Media Center: Will not add folders to the library

For about a week now through yesterday morning, I had several video files put in place in Media Center: specifically, two folders on local and network disks several (five or six) on records.

Last night, I went to the video library in Media Center, and it was completely empty. Records and all video files are always accessible through the browser and the network as needed, so I go to Media Center and re-add the same folders. Return to the video library. It is empty. I will go back to the library settings and all defined records are previously selected is no longer! So I go through and add them back. Only to make them all disappear.

I do this several times, including the second to the last test where I waited in circles and looked at the gauge progress and a total number of 300 + video files displayed. But the library is still empty and not setup all files as added!

So my last try: I remove all other music and image files and add just a video file. And still no videos!

I already rebooted once and now I am at a complete loss as to what could be the problem. The files are a mix of .avi (xvid, for the most part), .mkv and .ts who worked before this question last night.

I said that I should leave the Media Centre, stop the windows media player network service, and then remove windows media player db file. I did all this, restarted the service and then media center, added a video file and guess what? Still no file (or folder) in my Media Center video library.

    What is happening here!

    Edited to add:

Well, I did a few experiences more.

In Windows Media PLAYER, I wasn't able to add folder to library video (via organize) it is. However, I was able to add folders to the library in Windows Explorer. I could then drag and drop the Windows Explorer video library in WMP. However, none of this has changed the fact that the video library in Media Center remains empty and I can not add ALL the video files via the parameters.

In the meantime, I have two choices, I can browse my multimedia files via WMP which is not half bad but I prefer reading via Media Center. so... currently, I navigate through Explorer Windows and Media Center set as default player for all types of video file in the video library of the Explorer.

However, I would really like this work all through (some) Media Center :)

I wonder if there might be a corruption of the current library which is not resolved by simply removing the CurrentDatabase_ # .wmdb as suggested earlier.  You see the question even if you plan to display this content in Windows Media Player as well?  If so, in Windows 7, there is an option to rebuild the library.  This is done through Windows Media Player tools > advanced > restore library... menu (an open area along the top or bottom of the drive to find this right click menu).

    Thank you

    Chad

  • Reset the library in Windows Media Center on Vista Ultimate

Any way to reset Media Center, so it restores the library of images, video and audio?  I need to start all over again because it won't let me control my own destiny.

Media Center has found all kinds of stuff on my readers that I don't want to appear in its menus.  No, it's not _, but I can't see how this could be a real problem.  Is finding all sorts of photos of various I don't want not shown.  I wouldn't have to revamp my hard drive in an attempt to hide the stuff of Media Center.  That's all just crazy!  Media Player 11 is much better behaved.

Once Media Center detects something it got him to it!  At least it seems that way to me.

It would be a great improvement if Media Center show you a list of files that it finds and then gives you the ability to remove or add to this list.  MS apparently he dumbed down so that you can do.  Then after that it's must rescan and update everything.  Media Center development team please talk to the development of Media Player 11 team and see how they do.

Apparently, it cannot detect that I moved my Public folder to another drive.  He is always looking for C:/users/Public and won't give up his research there.  I empied on all my music, video, photos, etc. under my user so it won't find anything be it next time around.  Now, I just need to find a way to reset the library from scratch.  It would be a nice option to have on task!

Another option would be to score a registration file in Media Player/Media Center with a power button set with a right click on the folder.  Carbonite for that because he's back in line ups and it couldn't be simpler!

This is really an excellent product to be almost useless for me.

    BajaPaul,

Windows Media Center takes advantage of your information to the Windows Media Player library. We will need to edit your library here.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

Add or remove watched your library folders:

Open Windows Media Player, click on the library tab and choose the type of media (video, music, photos, recorded TV) then press F3 on your keyboard to open the Add to library window, press Advanced Options, make your selections for your library folder (by selecting Add, Remove, ignore or Enable), click on OK.

Now, let's remove existing content unwanted from your library:

Press on the library tab, choose the type of media (video, music, photos, recorded TV). Now select library in the left panel, displays, select file. You can now right click on the folder you want, and then select delete, to the notification area select delete from library only, press on OK. Alternatively, you can right-click on any multimedia file and follow the steps above to remove.

Note: Pictures and video in Windows Media Center libraries automatically monitor your current user photos and video records. Any multimedia content added to these folders will be automatically analyzed in your Media Center, which includes the folder Public under C:/Users, place only the content you want to add them.

  • Change type of file in the library.

Before when I saved an image that he went to the library of images and the icon showed the picture, lately when he goes to the library pic it shows just a white icon and I have to click on it to see the image, how do I change it back so that it is saved as a jpeg?

    Miniatures,

Open your my pictures location, click organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the View tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply to records on the top and apply and OK on the bottom.

If the photo thumbnails appear now but look washed on a right click and select Properties, on the section of the general tab, uncheck the box for the hidden attribute and save it.

Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a drop-down arrow, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

  • Share a lightroom catalog - Does the catalog and images on external hard drive work?

I manage a small part of the flow of images overall of the client by updating their prescence web basis with new works and relabelling/download earlier works. I believe that this requires the catalogue and the library of images that will be hosted on an external hard drive that can travel between us two. We work both on PC with LR 5.3.

The workflow should look like this:

Customer uploads new images on external hard drive and import LR

    'ClientCatalog' is created

Flags of pickaxes and creates a Collection of those Picks

Hard disk is handed to me when I opened "ClientCatalog".

    Make changes suggested in pictures

    Add detailed tags and metadata

Download on various media sites, social and Web sites

return the drive to the customer

Is there a potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive, so there is no worries for the catalog with all updates. Can someone find out about potential problems, that I might have forgotten? Are there of "security protocols" you would add in to this workflow (not to mention that everythign on another hard disk mirroring) which would you suggest?

    Photwell wrote:

I came across this problem with my own catalog a few weeks ago. I plugged my external hard drive into a different USB port and everything was gone.

Not gone, just addressed. It can be re-addressed as required. I think that's enough on MacOs, to name the drive. Under Windows, the details vary depending on the version of the OS (Google for instructions), but it's for Win7:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Windows7/HT/change-drive-letters-Windows-7.htm

and it's a good idea to assign a drive letter quite a bit more later in the alphabet, to restrict the possibility of ever finding this already taken letter. For example, it might be X: to HDD external , or P: for Plug in car, or anything that makes sense to you...

After having done this, the re-start of Lightroom and open the catalog, images will be at the first go in offline mode (previously used location not found). To get online, it will be necessary to re - browse the folder parent for all your image files, to reflect its new location under the new reference in car. That done, the location information of catalog for all images and subfolders located under this parent folder, automatically updated. If that parent does not appear in the list of records of LR, you right-click and choose "show Parent". Display LR then reorganizes to reflect this real hierarchy.

    Best regards, PR
