Cutting tool - associated default program

I would use the snipping tool and e-mail the information that I have chosen.  When I try to do, I get a message that I don't have an e-mail program associated with.  My default e-mail program is Yahoo (sbcglobal.net).  I would like to know how to associate my e-mail with the cutting tool program.  I looked at the "Default program" windows and can't figure out what to do.  I don't know what I want to put this in place.  I know that the cutting tool is under Accessories, but that is not always help me.  Can anyone help?

Hello

The capture tool can create image files that you can send an email, but you must have an e-mail program installed.

Yahoo is an internet e-mail 'service' that works through your browser. You must install an e-mail program and then set up your Yahoo email account to work through this e-mail program.

I think you need an email Yahoo Plus (paid) account to use it with a local mail program.

Alternatively, you should be able to simply save the image file as a .jpg or .png file capture tool and attach it directly to an email from Yahoo.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7

    Hi PHO.

Should be under the Accessories heading / Snipping Tool (that is for me).

Path to the executable file must be: %SystemRoot%\system32\SnippingTool.exe or Windows\system32\snippingtool.exe in Windows Explorer.  Once you're there, right-click and click on create a shortcut.  Then add in a few places (I have one in the box in the start menu and quick launch and desktop).  If need help to do this, just ask (and you need to help).

    Hello-

I'm looking for here (or get) help directed to the right forum regarding an error message I got when trying to open a PDF file.  The error message indicates "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "To be quite honest, I don't have the slightest idea as to what to do with respect to this message and I need some advice ASAP.  I have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and if I have to contact them instead about my problem, please let me know.

    a. what email client you have installed on your computer?
    b. how you try to access gmail on your computer?

If you have any mail client installed such as outlook, then you can set outlook as the default e-mail client.
If you use gmail from Internet Explorer, then you may not be able to set as the default program.

  • Right click > menu > open with > choose default program "this program has no an associated program to perform this action...". »

I get this dialogue whenever I try to choose to open one file with other than the default program. Sometimes, there are some programs to choose and they work but when I select "choose default program" all I get is this dialogue. This also applies when there is no program to choose from. The biggest headache is when there is no association at present such as .db files which could create a storage backup or similar program. When I right-click on these files, I get the dialogue immediately. Windows 7 - all to this day. (I'm aware of files, newspapers and others if necessary and has already attempted a difficulty with sfc/scannow as administrator.) He suggested some files cannot be repaired and showed me the log file. Everything in the log file was 'OK').

A registry of missing/incorrect key may cause this error. Apply the difficulty #12 'Open with' error "this file does not have a program associated with from this link (unzip and run the REG file)."

(FYI, the REG file is a file in plain text that you can open with Notepad, where you need to check its contents before the merger).

  • I need to create an association in the default program control panel so I can reply to ads on craigslist, and don't know how to do

I can send emails with my Yahoo homepage, but I can't send an email to the address on craigslist that my computer is telling me to create an association for email in the control panel of the default program and I need to know the steps to do this without ruining my computer. I've never used Craigslist before and have never had a problem with my computer functions

Windows 7 and Internet Explorer support not to set a webmail application like e-mail by default but Yahoo has an option that can work for you - I don't use Yahoo email and I have tried the following: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/settings/settings-10.html the other thing you could do is copy the address in the craigslist (dray your mouse to select and press Ctrl + C to copy) and then go on your Yahool email and place the cursor in the address box and paste (using a menu item from Yahoo or using Ctrl + V for paste).

  • Default programs/Set non-cooperating associations

Until recently, all of the photos in "My pictures" albums (and I have many) were visible at a glance. now, they are a bunch of icons undiscernable.  I quickly found that none of my .jpg pictures would open (Photo Viewer) and tried to change the default program for the "set Associations" of the Live Photo Gallery Photo Viewer.  It won't, or she will allow me to restore the default value, which is presented as photo viewer.   It is absurd to think I have to go through hundreds of photos and manually rename .jpeg to view them with Live Photo Gallery.  It is even more ridiculous that I must now manually open a countless number of pictures to find the ONE that I might be looking.  How can I get this fixed in order to have my photos easily visible.  At least if you please tell me how I can, or why I can't reset my default to mitigate the current .jpg .jpeg problem vs.  Thank you!

He does.  My first thought was this option in Folder Options may have gotten turned on so that it shows no more thumbnails, but it would be a global option, so if some types of files work, it won't be the culprit.

My next concern is this default handler that you mentioned.  Looks like you may have been involved in the section "associate a file type", so I would try it if possible (forgive me if you already have):

If this is done, or does not work, I ask a follow-up more - do you remember when the problem started?
