  • Satellite A200-10Z (PSAE0E) - blue screen when I try to play the video

    Hey Geeks,

I have a serious problem; I use my laptop for the last 3 years with no problems, but since yesterday, it the BSOD every time you try to play flash videos or youtube. I tried to update the version of adobe flash after unstalling the existing drive flash but when even the reason persisted. Finally, I reinstalled the 32-bit version of Windows Vista from the recovery of the product back up drive after I lost all my data, guess what the problem has not disappeared. I can't play youtube videos?

I think it's maybe a problem with the BIOS update, this could be a corrupt problem display driver or should I think that there is a hardware problem as such. Is the existing graphics card Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset family 945GM. I tried to update the BIOS from the Toshiba support site, but there is no available for Satellite A200-10Z update. So point is should I try to reinstall the operating system once more, or should I be given the laptop to a service center to check any malfunction of the equipment.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

Generally speaking, it is not easy to say why this happens, but if you have already tried a restore of the Toshiba Recovery disk system and the problem still exists, it looks like more of a hardware malfunction. The recovery disk contains a pre-tested picture to factory settings, so everything should work correctly in the case otherwise it seems to be a hardware problem.

But he s strange why this happens only with videos. What you might try before contacting an authorized service provider is updated the display driver. Have a look at the Toshiba website, if a newer version is available for your laptop.

    Good luck! :)

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1.
    Change hardware acceleration
You can try to change the hardware acceleration in the middle and check (you can try another level too.)
    a. right click on a space empty on the desktop.
    b. go to the resolution of the screen.
    c. click Advanced settings, and then click the "troubleshooting."
    d. set the hardware acceleration in the middle. (here you'll get the only option your video card sound support).

    Method 2.
    a. you can also check that Windows is up-to-date to check updates for your hardware.
You can also run the difficulty below that diagnoses and identify codecs that can cause windows to become unstable or stop responding.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/video_freezes_or_crashes

    b. if the problem persists, you can check the latest video card driver provided by the manufacturer of the PC that is compatible with Windows Vista is installed.
You can also check out the article below which explains to update hardware drivers.

  • Firefox crashes when loading websites, freezes when I try to download any file and completely freezes when I try to access the Options menu. Help!

As he says, I had a difficult time with Firefox lately, and I think that it's corrupted. I tweaked the settings according to the suggestions on this forum and others like him, but they made the problem worse. I've updated to the latest version of the browser that has not helped, and I finally tried the "Reset Firefox" button, which was worse than anything. I lost my custom settings and Add-ons for nothing, the problem persists.

More frustrating is that it completely crashes whenever I click on tools > Options, so I'm not able to make changes to this new configuration. If I export my favorites safely, I will try to uninstall the browser and re - install an older version of it, but of course it now freezes when I try to export the bookmarks file.

Thus, apart from trashing it and starting over... any suggestions?

For the record, it's Firefox 28.0 (do not know what version it was the beginning of the sentence), and the window "On Firefox" said that it is up-to-date. I am running Windows XP.

Thanks for any help or enlightenment, you might be able to provide.

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Uninstaller or the use of Firefox and not run a third remover as part of this process, because who could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. These can be recovered, unless they have been backed up on an external device!

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • When I try and play a video or a dvd from my computer crashes.

    OT: Media Player-related problems.

When I try and play a video or dvd my computer crashes and I have to close, a blue box appears in the upper right corner, saying: I have new applications that can open this type of file, but not how to use them or what they are called or where to find them.

I down loaded VLC media player but it also refuses to play video clips and DVD and locks the computer as well.

I don't know much about computers just how to use it for what I need, any help will be appreciated.

Because it was not mentioned, which was the source Image formats with what you are / have been working?
         http://explore.live.com/Windows-Live-Movie-Maker-file-types-FAQ

If VLC can't play the file, it can be owner or damaged. In addition, VLC should have no problem with a standard DVD playback.

You can always try to convert it.

Freemake Video Converter is one of the most recommended video converters to help users to convert their SOURCE of videos in WMV. Freemake Video Converter is extremely easy to use, but there are a few ' opt-out ' the software provided with the installer that makes the user nervous. I created a post to illustrate the process of downloading the application, installation step by step, explaining what options are optional. I have also provided some screenshots on just how it is easy to convert your videos into WMV.

  • When I try to play a video I have a video with no sound

original title: Windows Vista/windows media player/videonosound

my windows media player will play a dvd with the sound when I try to play a video that I have a video with no sound. I tried to upload an ogg codec so I can get a little sound of my video.

    Help please.

    Angie line Graham

Although Microsoft does not provide a feedback about which codecs you need, you'll probably want to install a free app called MediaInfo that will analyze the file you are trying to play and to determine what exact codec you need to play the file. I walk through the process of fix codec errors in this tutorial on MediaInfo.

If it's an OGG file as you indicate, the best thing to do is to play any other application, but Windows Media Player, new support for the codec for OGG in WMP is ugly, but I would check double what you need first.
  • Error when you try to play the game: memory access violation

    memory access violation

I have redownloaded a game that has been previously loaded on my computer, now I get this error when you try to play the game "Memory Access Violation".

Your sound card that is more than adequate.
If the game was previously installed and worked fine then maybe it is not been completely uninstalled.
I suggest you uninstall the game, look in the registry for any left over entries that can refer to the game.

Then restart and reinstall the game.

Alternatively, you can try to install in compatibility mode. If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
    Use the following steps:
    (1) right click on the program
    2) click Properties
    3) click on the Compatibility tab
    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.
