d110a HP and a dlink wbr2310

Just got a mac and one of these wireless printers that are available as a combo treat from my local apple store.  I am trying to connect the printer wireless to my router and it keeps giving me a failure of mac address.  I use a d-link wbr-2310.  On the wireless network test report, everything goes into the part "no filtering".  The message at the top suggests that MAC filtering is to blame.  I connected to my router and checked that mac filtering is disabled.  I am at a loss to explain what is the problem now.  Any help would be appreciated.

OK, one more thing is to make sure that the router has updated the firmware.

Can you change to WPA AES encryption?  Is there spaces inside your passphrase?

I have an edition select dv6t entertainment PC with the factory installed Intel Wireless-N card and a DLINK DIR 615 wireless router.  Everything works well until another one of our home computers (wired or wireless) is enabled.  This causes the HP laptop to disconnect from the Internet (sometimes the computer will indicate that it is connected, but the icon symbol suggests it is not connected.)  We have a Dell and a HP PC, a Dell laptop, two i-Pads and a mini i - Pad who get along fine with the internet.  It seems that HP may be the connection more low and is always the first to be disconnected.

I am not particuarly tech savy, but if you have a good solution that I can print and take with the laptop to someone who is tech savy to repair or adjust, I would be very grateful.

Use Windows Device Manager, not a Bill. Unfortunately, I can't find a specific driver with the information you have provided in your last post. This way you will know exactly what that says Windows is installed. See the following example of my current Envy17-ready 3002ea book. Through the Device Manager, I see that this laptop has Intel Centrino Ultimate-N6300 AGN wireless card.

Remember that if you know that there is an installed Intel device you can always go to the Intel Download Center and find the best driver for the device. It is only if the Download Center is in place. This is not always the case.

    Greetings programs,

I signed up for 35 G internet with Brighthouse lightning in August of last year. Worked great for two months, then started getting more slow slow and capped speed DL 12 G.

BrightHouse over the last two weeks came out and replaced all the cables on the House, the street and poles near home. Replaced twice modem (Motorola, only an Arris, now a huge Ubee modem. Thinking it was my four year old and put DLink upgraded router to a Linksys AC1600 model +. I even spent two days and six hours on the phone with supervisiors to Brighthouse trying different things. Nobody seems to know what to do. When I bought this laptop that is Windows 8... and has been finally updated to 8.1.

    BUT...

I'm still a bottle neck to 12g on the laptop... but devices ALL wireless, three tablets, three phones, PS3 (connected, but capped by Sony at 20G) etc. are the actual speed. • Issues with Dell desktop computer wireless and D-Link wireless network card. Only able to get wireless access by checking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network". This kind of file sharing impossible.

original title: can't see the computer on wireless internet!

I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

However, it seems that my Canon MX860 printer is not found by the network.  It can be located by control panel of Windows Vista and I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.  But when I try to print I get the error message "printer not found."

    Hello

If this is a network printer ready to reconfigure the printer to match the new router.

If it resets in a different IP, you need to set the printer to the computer for the game too (see the manual of the printer).

  • iTunes Ripping from CD to NAS

Hi there, apologies as I'm sure this has been answered in some form several times but I can't find too specific a question (s). I have a MacBook (OSX) and a DLINK NAS talk to one another. I would like to ship ripping my CD collection, so I have digital versions available, allowing me to use a number of services (iTunes, Sonos etc.), with files on the NAS itself.

What setting should I before I start?

    1. Change iTunes to MP3 format extraction
    2. ITunes library update location on NAS where ripped files will be made available
    3. Configure iTunes to watch the entire where my audio files will be, or create a separate folder "library only" and somehow configure if it has a few shortcuts to real files?
    4. Anything else?

In short, I want to make sure I'll keep that a copy of the file to save space as well assume that I need to extract the files directly on the NAS. Then iTunes media library should just look at these files, so there is no drop iTunes and double files?

I have probably explains this very badly indeed but eager to make sure that I'm going on the right foot and make a beautiful torn library located on my NAS, but just once!

    Thanks in advance!

Everyone likes the idea of SIN, Sonos, etc., but in reality, iTunes and NAS don't like each other and can cause unexpected problems. Not always, but when it happens, you'll be one very unhappy announcement back here.

The format to which tear you depends on the size of the file to which you are ripping applications are you your other devices and to a certain extent.  For speeds of 128 k or less get you better quality of AAFC.

If you continue to use the SIN, you can move the entire library to it.  Copy the entire folder iTunes from iTunes to the NAS, then launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the folder on the NAS.  The NAS will have to be awake and active before launching iTunes or iTunes will forget the location and you will need to reset it.

From this moment the only things stored on your computer will be the backups of the iPhone and some files in iTunes preferences.

Make sure that you keep backups of the library on the NAS.  We can one day you'll start things and discover all your track lists point to very different files and you will LOVE your backup at this stage because dealing with by other means will require 30 positions.

  • My mac says "Looking for printer.

I bought D110a yesterday, and after a few soft not to install this printer on my Mac (OS X 10.6.4), I finally got to print... However, not always. By 'not always' I mean a point print at a time, through "reboot" the printer between the prints. If I do not "restart" the printer, the print queue displays "Looking for printer...» ». It will remain in this State indefinitely. When I try to use the HP utility, I get the following message: "HP ink jet is currently unavailable. Please check if it is connected and turned on, or try again later. »

The printer is powered on and connected. I can access the built-in Web server (which displays the status "Ready"), and the "Print and Fax" menu shows the printer as "Idle" with the green light.

    Some useful facts (?):

I installed this printer using the HP software provided.

This printer is used on my wireless network (Linksys WRT610n router)

I have another printer wireless that works without problem.

  • No Solution center after you download the driver for HP Photosmart D110

My friend has a Touchsmart 300 PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I downloaded and installed the driver and the latest software, or so I thought. I downloaded the D110a driver and software. There was also a D110b but I do not know the difference. The printer worked very well for its network, but there is no Solution Center or additional software installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. I also got "Fatal Error". When you try to open the solution Center, there is a message box with different solutions on how to fix: did not complete installation, use the CD (we tried), or go to "Configuration files" on the computer other options. Nothing has worked. Should I have downloaded the D110b driver and software?

    I appreciate your help.

    Erna

Erna - I'm at a loss and you are probably right, go to the register to search only the HP files dealing with the printer on an HP machine would probably be very long and delicate.  I had a Sony so I have them cleared out by searching "HP" and then looking at each register who came and delete those I knew come from HP software.

To Sherwindu - yours sounds like an installation problem that might be able to be erased by a full unistall and reinstall from the website not a CD Rom  In addition, during the installation make sure you have a strong internet connection.  I know that I have DSL (and a small DSL to this) who gets interrupted all the time and had difficulty to install the HP software because of that with many tries sometimes to do things.

Each of you - material is generally NOT a problem of HP, which means that in general, their hardware devices are made robust enough.  My experience and my knowledge of HP and its service which is their software to run their devices is usually wrong and their organization so large with so many products that their technical departments are overwhelmed and just giving the standard corrections.  You have both found not a good internet connection without own interruption during installation, or the software is not properly written (I know that their Vista drivers weren't properly writings/facts for my HP machine, but that's another story).

    Good luck to you two.

  • Windows Backup has not completed successfully error Code: 0x807800B4

I've just set up this computer with Windows 7 Pro SP1, I installed a bunch of apps, do a disc repair system and now I'm trying to save up to a central device part DLINK which is my data storage component only CE.  (Appointed: DLINK-4AB714).  Backup windows will not let me create a system image, because the device doesn't use NTFS file system and it says that it cannot protect the backup.  Frankly, I don't like the so-called protection. I want it to save the dam of the road anyway.  Now, I tried twice with the normal process of backup tries to back up the drive c: as well as of the information system.  This gets more and creating a shadow copy and then begins to back up the data files, but one) it takes forever to displays detailed information, making it necessary for me to leave and let the computer do its work without supervision and b) somewhere in the process, it fails.

It is supposed to be about 77 gigabytes of data on the disc and or the backup attempt exceeded about 15 GB.  The system is running Norton Internet Security, something that came with the motherboard that I bought, and I don't know if that is the cause of the problems or not.  It isn't Norton 360, which also has a backup function.  What I don't see is a lot of network activity between the computer and the DLINK, even Sharing Center when I see the backup giving me details about the files to be backed up.  I wonder if, somehow, the network inactivity is involved.

Somehow, I have to get a full backup so that I can reconfigure my hardware and software of restoration. This is my current goal, but without the aid of successfully complete I can't move forward.

Hi Henry, glad to hear that you are trying to do the right thing, better is now than regret it later.

The error messages are warnings only (mine said safeguards would be unsecured), you should still be able to select the network as a viable situation drive, I tested it and it worked fine for me.

See the answer to this question: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/can-not-backup-windows-7-to-shared-mac-drive/4168a89c-a2fc-4350-bab2-7ec28ce155ff

If this doesn't help not you plan backup on a USB and then manually copying the backup to your network storage.

My last option for you is to watch a 3rd third party tool for backup instead.
