  I want to know if it is possible to install and run the DIAdem on an SMU (chassis and controller) system, and use the DAC

  for a quick setup of measurement and installation. Does anyone have experience with this configuration?

  Tiara DAC works with any hardware OR SMU which is taken in charge by NI MAX (measurement and Automation Explorer), including the global virtual channels. If you have Windows XP or later version on the SMU system, it works very well...

• SSI is not supported by our server - workaround?

  I'm looking for solutions for faster reaction times when changes are needed on the website of our company. To the fact the continuous page number become increasingly more should I quick solutions.

  I had planned on using SSI to include headers, the feet of page and the menus in my pages. The skeleton of the Web pages would be set up in a format and applied to all the pages (to avoid overuse of SSIs and lose the overview).

  SSI seemed to be the perfect solution, and it seemed even be supported by the server of the company (a tick behind an option called "Support for the ISS" in the configuration menu seems simple enough). Unfortunately, during the test (both with a .html file .shtm) the opposite was true. After having contacted the technical support of our server, I got this response:

  "Despite the fact that we have this option in the Control Panel, we unfortunately do not provide support for this feature. This because our areas and sites Web is based on a shared IP address and so this option is unfortunately not possible. »

  (1) I really don't understand how these two depend on each other (SSI and shared IP addresses), so that would be my first question.

  Content in a database.  Put your code fragments in a database and pull in the pages.  But you have to bite the bullet and rename your pages with an extension script (for example, PHP, or ASPX or CFM), according to your scripting language.  Try to do these scripts with extensions HTML will be too hard as DW will not recognize the script code.

  I'm new to DW, but I am going through the lessons of the IPC to get up to the level 'standard user '.

  I want to use the Spry menu and other features defined in the IPC, but the hosting service I have used do not have the Server Side Includes or script.  The only authorized script language is PHP 4/5.

  You do something wrong. Your host has no control over any javascript code on the client that you have on your pages side. If this does not work, it is not because of the accommodation. At this point, it might help to provide us with the url so we can see what is exactly the problem.

  And if they do not support SSI (which is hard to believe), then you can still use php include.

  Hello, I imported my whole site integrated with GoLive 5 DW CS5. I built a spry menu bar and a header and a footer and put everything on a single page. I tried to save this page in style.css but. I get an error message that page's html when I try to link to a new blank page to it. . I can't understand how to make the page I created in a style sheet so that the code is not on all the pages of my site.  The way I now with all this code on every page is not good for search engines.

  What I need to know is the best way to go back and create a style sheet using the header, the footer and the spry menubar I have already created. My head took hours and hours to create, and so made my drop-so really, I don't want to start from scratch. I'm a business person, not a web developer for any guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated.

  If I do the SSI page, can my web pages always end with htm? (My clients took them bookmarked as htm files, so if I change them, then I guess that their bookmarks wouldn't work, right?

  If your server supports SSIs and .htaccess (do most of Linux servers), you can tell the server to analyze the .htm files as if they were .shtm.  The .htaccess file is in the folder root (even under the name index.htm) and contains the following code.

• Update sidebar 'News' on multiple htmls

  I have a site with a box of 'new' (using the 3 column template). When I update the news section, I have to go into each html page and change the text. Is it possible that I could do so when the sidebar of new changes, it changes throughout the site? (he might have to pull the text from an external file, or something?)

  Use an include (SSI) server-side.

  Inclusion on the server side simply contains the HTML code for the section of the page that you want to appear on the other pages (in other words, no DOCTYPE html, head and body tags). Update a page, and all pages that include it are automatically updated. Easy to do if your site supports a language such as PHP or ColdFusion server-side. Can also be done with static HTML sites, as long as the web server supports SSI.

  You can also use an iframe to display the page with the new evolution.

• audio output lists only the internal speakers when usb is connected to the dac

  This problem happened after I had used my mbp for months as music server in a stereo system.  When I have the mbp connected via USB to an external digital to analog converter (dac), audio preferences had always listed the CAD.  Now it lists only the internal speakers.  I tried to reboot, checked my UBS cable, checked my dac.  The only thing I've done recently is to create a playlist and sync a new iPod to copy the playlist we.  I don't know if that could have anything to create the problem of lack of dac, but I am a relative novice on computers.

  Anyone have this problem or knows how to fix?

  An airport express itself to the bottom of the sample of iTunes / music Pure even with out Ethernet and Toslink connection?  I'm debating whether to buy a high-end DAC to go with my AE play albums FLAC, ALAC, or if I need a DAS to do.

  So I have an iMac with iTunes and Pure music. I have my AE in an another attachment to my amp Sugden and Pre Amp. EI hard wired to Netwoto with the Ethernet cable and attached to Sugden pre amplifier via analog 3.5 mm to stereo RCA cable.

  Any advice would be much appreciated!

  All versions of DIAdem (6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, 10.x, 11.x,...) have the possibility of the DAC and VISUAL signs.  Just ask either the tiara with DAC Bundle or tiara with options of DAC kits.

• Connect an SSI absolute encoder to a DAQ card

  I try to connect four encoders of DAQ cards. Two of them are in quadrature encoders and the rest two absolute encoders. I'm guessing that connects the two quadrature encoders to both timers/counters on the card. But what of the SSI absolute encoders? Anyone can give a clue? Thank you very much.

  If you do not use our driver so I don't know if this is supported, but here's how I would do it using DAQmx...

  According to the features of calendar defined page 10 specifications page, 500 ns is the minimum period for almost all relevant parameters:

  Period of the CLK line semi

  Time between the CSn and the first edge of the clock

  The CSn pulse width

  Well, it makes sense of the clock of your 2 MHz.  You need produce waveforms of the following two, each cycle would be clock to 18 bits of data (12-bit encoder and 6 status bits).  The total duration of the cycle ends up being long 38 samples and would take 19 microseconds to execute (if updated to 2 MHz).

  The actual binary data to write to the card depends on what lines you use.  For example, if you use p0.0 to CSn and p0.1 for CLK, table you would need to write would be the following:

  The bits of the U8 number correspond to the 8 rows on the port.

  You will need an example of clock for your task source.  I suggest to use Freq Out on the 6251.  In DAQmx, it is programmed in the same way as a meter output.  You would set this up as a continuous meter to 2 MHz output.  Indicate on your task to use ' / Dev1/FrequencyOutput "as the sample clock source (not necessarily Dev1, but regardless of the name of your device).

  You would physically signal port thread 0 CLK in PFI lines and use it to sample a DI task so that you can read back your data.  You can enjoy on the falling edge of the CLK to allow 500 ns for the value to be set (the maximum duration of your sheet is 394 ns).  The only drawback to this is that you are not sampling the parity bit, but apparently not that it is a problem unless you plan to use it.

  Once you get the bits, you must translate that into an actual position.  When you call DAQmx Read, you will have an array of values.  The first value of each cycle is a disposable (look at the waveform to see why).  The next 12 items of any cycle would be the 12 data bits, next 5 bits of State.  As I mentioned earlier, the parity bit would not be sampled because of the decision of the sample on the falling clock edge (again, you can refer to the waveform to see why this is the case).

  You'll want to convert the 12 data bits of the table in a single 12-bit integer, then multiply by (360.0 / 4096) to get the position in degrees.  I don't know what development environment you use, but this type of data manipulation must be achievable.  For example, LabVIEW has a Boolean array of numbers feature that would be very helpful here.

  There are two different installers of DIAdem. We understand the panels DAC/VISUAL (for a total of 7 panels) and the other which does not include the DAC/VISUAL signs (for a total of 5 panels).

  The DAC/VISUAL signs are usually sold only to customers in Germany/Europe (some exceptions apply). The DAC/VISUAL signs are data acquisition and billboards in real-time for tiara; DAC can be compared to the functionality of LabVIEW block diagram and VISUAL can be compared to the functionality of the Panel before LabVIEW.

  In order to access the functionality of the VISUAL and DAC panels, you must have a license file which includes data for DIAdem acquisition options. Please check if your license DIAdem includes VISUAL and DAC. If you do not buy these options, they will remain grayed out. If you have purchased these options, please contact your local or (http://www.ni.com/niglobal/) and ask for a new file of the technical support group license.
