DAL performance analysis

Hello

I am in need to analyze and optimize the existing functions of Documaker 11.3 DAL. So, I'm looking for a way to find the time taken by each DAL scripts. Is there a way to analyze and connect DAL execution?

I saw 'ANALYSIS of the PERFORMANCE of DAL' topic on administrator's Guide. But not sure with, where to start?... What are the steps to connect to runtime of DALs on trace file? Please help me on this. Thanks in advance!

I think we will find the information you need in the reference of DAL.

There is a < debug_switches=""> group INI, which contains the following INI settings:

To enable debug information, you also need to add the following INI setting:

< debug_switches="">

ENABLE_DEBUG_OPTIONS = YES

Please guide me the Foglight command-line installation as I'm not sure how can I continue because my FMS_HOME is in Oracle.

It seems you are trying to install Foglight agent manager by using the command line installer to ensure the follow-up of your Oracle database.  Foglight Oracle agent can be run either on the Oracle server, or another place as a remote agent locally.  As an agent remote is most common.  In general, this isn't your office, btu a server.  The FMS or another utility server.  You would normally run the installation program from the command line on the computer you want to monitor Oracle of.  Then the agent would run there and collect information of your Oracle instance.  You also mention the analysis of performance in the subject of this thread.  For Performance analysis, which must be a local installation on your Oracle server, but it's a different Installer than indicated above.

  • Foglight Management Server and Foglight Performance Analysis Server

    Running:

    1. Foglight Management Sever (5.6.4.0) on Windows Server 2008 R2 x 64, 8 GB of RAM, 40 GB of storage, 4 vCPUs
    2. Foglight Performance Analysis Server (7.0) on Windows Server 2008 R2 x 64, 8 GB of RAM, 120 GB of storage, 2 vCPUs

Both are running on virtualized servers.  We are moving our servers to a new data center and I wonder to combine these two servers.  I am unable to find any documentation that provides configuration information to support this and support of Quest also recommends maintaining that separate them (as they are not all supporting documents).

My question is this, can you successfully met these two services on the same virtual server?  I am someone of hope and can give an overview if they have had problems or not (what to watch out for, etc.).

Keep us separate database server yet and who will broadcast another SQL box.

In general, the recommendation is to run these on separate dedicated servers. May I ask why you guys would like to group together? Please keep in mind that these two engines can expect to perform heavy work loads and you could increase your risk of hitting problems if you had to consolidate them. Just my $0.02 - it could be that useful.

  • The performance analysis section

    Hello
We are in 10g R2 on Win 2003 server. In 2 day s/n, page 10-9 (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14196.pdf B14196-02), I saw to see the Performance analysis:

1 - the article on the home page of the database, as shown in Figure 10-6 under the performance analysis.
You can see by clicking on the conclusion. Performance Results Details page appears, outlining the findings and recommended actions.
2 - the diagnosis summary next to Performance results the number of results, as appropriate. Click on this link to access the page of the ADDM.

But on my homepage of database grid control I can't see these. This means that ADDM found nothing? How be sure the ADDM runs every hours a? How to activate the ADDM?
    Thank you.

    Click RUN ADDM

Then click on the check time on the chart where it shows enrichment to see performance issues.

  • Pavilion 20-b313w: confused about what I would do on my PC down performance.

I am very confused on what I should any performance drop in my PC. My desktop is an all-in-one HP Pavilion 20. The original operating system was WIN 8, current OS WIN 8.1. I have received my computer 08/11/13 and modernized to 8.1 WIN a few weeks later because of the boredom of his pop - ups. The first installation of the failed but the next day he installed on his own and was a success. Not for long after that I started having performance problems. Late development, freezes, screens white or black, poor and choppy graphics audio and app crashes (that have been fixed under the warranty of my HP). A few months after the 8.1 update, I received a message to HP Support Assistant, stating that my computer model is never tested with 8.1 and which could be the cause of performance problems. It also comes with a sweep of compatibility which was of no use since 8.1 was already installed and recommended that drivers become available or uninstall either wait.  I got tired of waiting so December 2014, I made an update to 8 and does a not reinstall the 8.1. I'm back from my excellent performance of computers. Unfortunately that was short-lived due to 8.1 it's self without an option to refuse, automatically reinstalled just a warning that in 2 days it will restart my computer to complete the installation. Happened last week and now my computer is back to low performance once again. The sound is choppy (especially when you're playing), after a few hours use a buzz began, initially it is jerky (on & off), then it becomes constant. Also slow loading and especially the cursor of the mouse that happens on and off delay. I checked Task Manager one day when that was happening and the disk and CPU were turning red and goes up to 100% and the memory of peaks as high, but not up to 100 (between points THAT MEM is still 30% maybe it's due to the recent installation of the Sims 4.  Today, I had a critical event arrives with the core power and my computer restarted, it's self. These are the questions that I need some help fixing, but I have questions that I hope can be answered here or is in the right direction for an answer. (1) how or where I can get a straight answer to my computer with 8.1 compatibility. When I got technical support from HP that I asked about the message, I got on their part and told me to ignore the message because they are compatible. But after I refreshed to WIN 8 the message came back and there was a note at the bottom of the page indicating that the message might be old and possibly there are drivers available. So I'm confused, if the two are compatible then why I experience the same problems that the message was listed as signs of incompatibility? (2) when I use HP Support Assistant to check updates no downloads are available, but when I use the driver and software page for the HP downloads by product website. It shows 10 available for audio download driver, driver chipset, graphics driver, network driver, BIOS, Diagnostics and multimedia software.  I should download them all or do I need to check them one by one to determine if they are old or new. (3) when my computer is idle why are background tasks performing analyses that show on my action Center icon but stop as soon as the cursor is moved? and how do I identify what background process & services can be completed or suspended to improve performance while playing the great resource with games like the Sims 4? Here is some info on my PC and I thank you for taking the time to help me.

  • Change of performance - related SQL

I p2v had an IBM 3850. He had 2 drives connected to a San. The 3850 has 8 GB of RAM and 2 Quad Core processors. It was running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SQL Server 2005.

Every night, a job would go to would re-index a database located on one of the disks. The re-indexing would operate on a database of 60 gig. I have metrics that show that on the device, the work of re-indexing would take about 30 to 35 minutes. I had p2v server, import the 2 responsible readers of e/s of SQL as RDM in physical compatibility mode. On p2v ING device, the only thing I have changed is the amount of CPUs available on the server. Instead of the 8 available in the physical processors, I allocated 4 CPU of the virtual machine. The result of all this work, is that the re-indexing job now takes about double the time. The last race took an hour and 20 minutes. During the time of execution, CPU maxed out at 40% of the use and only spiked at this level during a small window so the work of reindexing. I don't know where to start try to recover part of the back of the performance. Can you make some suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Is there an advantage to add another? How would that even work with 2 RDM disks?

Yes.  Discover Scott Drummonds answer in this discussion, regarding why it would help.

In Developer Tools Network Monitor does not work for me. No request appears in when I open or reload a page or during the execution of an AJAX request.
By clicking on the button Performance analysis does nothing no more.

    What could be wrong?

Live HTTP Headers (and Firebug) had no problem showing the network news, so the problem was with one network tools of development of Firefox tab.

The good thing is that it is corrected now, probably after I updated Firefox to the latest version. To someone of another encounter the same problem, please update your browser and that should fix it.

Edit: Typo fixed. Comment added for others with the same problem.

  • Network Monitor does not not on a whim

I use Network Monitor to months and suddenly that it stops working today, the tab is still there and I checked devtools.netmonitor.enabled and the value is always true. The problem is the button to launch performance analysis does not respond to clicks, in fact even the filters on the bottom (HTML, CSS, HS, XHR) are not working as (by clicking on them normally should at least highlight in blue but now its totally insensitive to the user clicks)

I would appreciate any help from you guys. Thank you.

UPDATE: I solved the problem by resetting all values related to netmonitor and the problem goes away. I don't know why, the values are mixed however. That's why I'm scoring this issue as resolved, sorry for wasting space forum.
