  I use software as my ERP system (it handles very important data) and what software is running on FireBird SQL server a there database firebird with extension '.gdb '.

  When Windows recognize a system error and to restore of the system (or reboot) and to apply changes this process until the last restore point Windows guarantee also remove data from my database .gdb and in this scenario, I lose all the data entered into these days here (upone the last restore point).

  Thios is strange because it deletes the data from the production database ('.gdb') a step of the backup database (".bkp").

  My question is:

  is there any way I can prevent the system restore to do not touch specific such as .gdb extensions when the restoration of the system (or reboot) is happening?

  i.e.Something as exceptions in the firewall?

  The only way to prevent the restoration of the system do not touch data is to put the data into an "intact" location, such as your Documents folder.

  You know the information of the namespace in your case to remove IMM2 cimsubscription? We have not cimsubscribe (field Director) in the XClarity environment, but I would try with cimcli.

  Please provide the model of your operating system and Dell. I would also recommend that you try a flash instead of a DVD disc.

  If you could not ask about your db, you can watch in the log_archive_dest_1 parameter, which is in the init.ora file, to know where are your archived log files.

  Well, finally I solved the problem without having to reinstall the system. During the boot precess after ThinkVantage touches there is a screen with options (1) to access the bios; (2) to resume normal sturtup; (3) and something about the recovery of the system (I don't remember exactly as I have been unable to repeat the conditions. By pressing F11, I chose option (3) and R & R logo has appeared on my screen. When I started the next time after pressing ThinkVantage I directly in environmental R & R.   Looking at your plan, I wonder what you are trying to accomplish first log mode archive disabling and then enabling archive mode log again. Why do you think that this is necessary and what you're trying to accomplish.

  You need not disable and enable log mode archive in order to eliminate the obsolete achivelogs.

  If you are not satisfied with the retention policy, simply change it. All backups that are outside your retention policy will be considered as obsolete and you can remove them using RMAN delete obsolete, which will remove all files as well as the appropriate data backup from the RMAN Repository.

  For example you can archivelog delete all the entries backup and then delete the backupset or remove them at the OS level, do overlap and then use delete noprompt expired archivelog all.

  The retention policy applies to backup and archivelogs. However, you can have a separate archivelog deletion policy that applies to archivelogs.
