Hi, turn off the laptop, remove the cable power, remove the battery, press the power button for a minute, plug in the power cable, press the power key and the FN + F5 key combination. If does not work try the FN + FX FX = F key with key from the laptop / monitor. Wait 10 to 15 seconds after pressing the keycombination.

  • Touchpad on my Satellite C50-A-157 problem

Hi, I had some problems with the touchpad my * Toshiba Satellite C50-A-157 * portable.

I use windows 8, and I've had my laptop for a few weeks, but suddenly, all the vof
I can only use the touchpad and operate the cursor when I have one of the buttons of the mouse pressed.
I had to use the "Tab" key and the "arrows" to navigate through the menus and options.

The * F5 key does not work and I tried already to day/reinstall the device drivers. Troubleshooting does not seem to work either.

However, whenever I don't have the mouse button, and the sursor is not movning, when I move my finger up and down on the touch pad, it will sail through the vertical series of the closest options and the left edge of the screen.

For example, in windows 8 Start menu, the mouse will be immobile in the middle of the screen, but when I move my finger up and down on the mouse pad, seems to scroll the tiles on the left of the menu, highlighting each of them on the way upwards or downwards.

I realize that it is quite a long and boring post, so thanks for reading this day and any help/suggestions, you can give will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's really strange question. Try to roll back the OS to an earlier time before it started to happen just to see if problem will be solved. Post comments.

I was searching in the control panel and uninstall some programs from Microsoft (like a total fool!) and now my built-in touchpad mouse will not scroll down.  I have to use the arrows on the far right of the screen to scroll up and down.  Integrated on my lap top touchpad scroll upwards and down.   Any suggestions?  ASAP please!

If you have a Dell, I can show you step by step. Options in Dell are not the same as the other makes it necessary.

    In general...
Right-click on an open office space > Personalize > mouse pointers (Yes! of the mouse pointers) > from here, you will have to consider for theParameters of the Touchpad > if found, click it. Then, search equivalent of 'change settings button scroll '. If found, click it. Then, see if the "Activate " box is DISABLED. If so, check it out > OK

  • Toshiba with vista touchpad mouse stopped working after the long sleep.

I left my Toshiba laptop with Vista only for a few hours and when I came back I had a lot of difficult to resume. When he did power to the top of the screen is fixed to the external monitor, and touchpad mouse will not work.  I did a system restore to several days ago, but it did not help.  I also installed service pack 1 and 2, hoping that would be useful, but it did not.  What should I do to get the touchpad mouse works again? I have the back of the screen, but not the mouse.

  • Satellite T110-107 - Touchpad / mouse problem

Just had delivery of a new Tosh T110-107, I have to say is beautiful, however a problem. A startup the touchpad works ok, but as soon as I plug the mouse USB may not work - what makes the system unusable until I disconnects me restart and the mouse. So what have I so done for her?

Uninstalled McAfee and Norton 360 addded and office (two originals) and that's the problem were found until everything has been done - as he came out of the box.

Win7 Home Premium, never had any problems with Win7, but then not used on a particular laptop model. Can only imagine its software/config but straight out of the box? Tosh must know there is a problem-they have too, but sold it?

Does anyone else have this problem?

Answer to Ah my own question, mouse at fault, as soon as the wheel is moved all the works, but we must constantly move or it don't work. It turns out that the mouse was not part of the package, so apologies to Toshiba, but then, that's why I had to buy this machine of large model - deemed manufacturer - if and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about buying one.

  • Touchpad mouse does not work on my Satellite L850D - 12 p

    Hello

I had problems with my laptop since the beginning. The hard drive failed and the carpet of mouse and keyboard have had intermittent problems since day 1. Randomly, they stop working and will not work again until you restart.

Recently the mouse pad often stopped to work prompting me to uninstall the Synoptics driver for this device. I removed the device from Device Manager and expected that when I rebooted windows driver would be. This was not the case. I reinstalled from the driver that I got from this site and now is without recognizing the mouse from the Synoptics software. Only the USB mouse that I plugged in worked and even then it often froze.

I tried a soft reset of the laptop wiping my settings and more recently a reset. I think that it is purely a software problem.

The mouse still does not work. Does anyone have ideas on this?

    Laptop is L850D - 12 p.

    Any help is well suitable.

    > I have tried a soft reset of the laptop wiping my settings and more recently a reset. I think that it is purely a software problem.

The point is that, for software problems, the Toshiba Recovery disk should solve your problems of keyboard and touchpad. So, I think that this issue is NOT due to software problem.

You mentioned that you had these problems since the first day buying hmm I m wondering why you did not contact the authorized service provider or a retailer of laptop for a fix.
New devices are covered by warranty and in case of hardware malfunction; the guarantee covers the repair procedure.

My solution: you can try to recover the laptop once more. Use the original Toshiba recovery disc. Also check if the BIOS is updated.
Note: the touchpad should work even if the other Synaptics touchpad driver isn't installed. Why? The touchpad is controlled by the default Microsoft driver and current touchpad as touch and scrolling functions do not exist by default. Synaptics touchpad driver adds a few more features and functionality for the touchpad.
