Dark videos

Hey guys.  Hope that there is someone who can help you. Up until at least, as far as I know a week ago. Suddenly, I can't watch videos in wmp.  They are much too dark and the improvements do not work.  The bars do not move.  As far as I know, I have the correct codecs. I have windows xp. They sometimes work on wmp classic and certainly on vlc.  It does not play one of my avi movies correctly.  Every so often, wmp also says she has encountered a problem and needs to close.  Any ideas on a solution would be nice. Thank you.

OK, obviously I had all the necessary codecs like we thought.  Of course needed me one more. Between the ffddshow, k - lite, divx would you think would be sufficient. No, I had to download xvid it too. So, if anyone has this problem. Try it. Might work. Take care.

  • Video TOO dark?

I used a DCR-SR40 for about 7 years, with good results and bought a new Sony HDR - XR550V 240 GB HD Handycam Camcorder a few weeks but I am very disappointed for some reason any new cam with all the bells and whistles seems to be much darker video inside and outside seems not to matter... Perhaps the factory settings have changed?

You can save images in bright colors, even in dim light by activating the function LOW LUX in scene selection.

  • ThinkPad Helix without backlight LCD

I am a problem with ThinkPad propeller and was looking for some advice on the troubleshooting process. The tablet was dropped and he suffered some damage. When I received the Tablet, I noticed that it still works but there is no video. After inspection, I noticed that the monitor always shows video but it is very low. When I shine a flashlight for the monitor I can see the windows login screen and the touch screen recognizes me touching the screen.

The first thing I tried was replacing the cables that connect the monitor to the motherboard that looked like some of them with force, they had been kidnapped. This had no effect on the issue as the monitor was still very dark when I lit.

I thought that the monitor was the problem and decided to replace all of the entire screen. I was able to get another monitor corresponding to the reference of the mine and he traded with the former. When I turned it on after swapping the monitor I stil had a very dark screen. If it wasn't the monitor or the cables that connect the screen to the motherboard then the only thing that remained was the motherboard.

Again, I found a motherboard replacement for unity and he traded. When I turned on, I still had the same problem as before, very dark video. I'm still not sure about what could be causing the problem and any help would be greatly appreciated. It looks not to the propeller of thinkpad has an lcd inverter or I would have tried replacing only the first.

The real problem was the motherboard. The replacement motherboard that I received was wrong and also had the same problem with no LCD backlighting. I replaced the motherboard with one that I bought and the laptop works fine now.

  • Why iphoto and facetime video images appear dark?

    Hi all!

I have the Macbook Pro 15 inch, late 2013, OS X 10.9.4 retina. My iphoto images appear dark that they normally used to look like on my Macbook. Even when I do facetime, video seems to be dark. I first thought that there could be some problems of substantive lighthing. I tried to adjust the camera in every possible angle. If, by chance, the facetime video seems to be normal after adjustments, it will disappear in a few seconds and the video will get darker still.

Anyone know how to fix this? Your help would be very appreciated.

    Thank you very much!

General representation is dark as well?

The brightness keys are easy to handle 'accidentally '.

  • Canon Powershot SX60 HS video performance in the dark?

When I shoot videos inside, not too dark really, with 1920 x 1080 (60 p), noises occur in the world. I tried it tuning at 1920 x 1080 (30 p), but it does not capture the delicate image that I wanted to. How to improve his performance in the dark? Thank you.

The 700 d EOS would be a very nice and capable camera that will surpass the SX60 in low light. Don't forget that the objective of the kit comes with the camera is a F3. 5 - 5 6 18-55 mm and that it would not perform as well as a lens that is F1.8, F2.0, F2.8. The more F is small, the aperture and so, the best performance in low light. The downside is that the price increases considerably with the smallest F number. I would like to get the lens with the smallest F number that you can afford. The kit lens will always be better than the objective on the SX60, but of course you will not have the same zoom range. There are some EOS kits 700 d that have two objectives as part of the package, with a 18-55 and 50-250 goals, for example, but again, they are usually on F3.5 or at best. The EOS 650 d is the old model of Canon, but still available, and some feel in fact that it is a better deal. Whatever it is, the low light performance is infinitely better than the small sensor cameras.

  • Video issue of Cannon T5i - dark colors out rasterized to research.

Video issue of Cannon T5i - dark colors out rasterized to research.

So I was messing around with the video manual settings on the Canon T5i. However the dark colors always look polyhedral.

I tried 1080 p 30 fps shutter 1/60 f / 4 iso 200 all the way up to 800 always the same question.  I even went up to 1/125 shutter iso 800 still the same issue.

Given that I use the kit lens EFS 18-55 mm.  I just ordered the Sigma lens 50mm 1.4 should therefore have this week by post.  But for now, I would like to at least fix the problem, I'm going to.

Any idea or pointers are welcome.

See vid of test in order to have at least an idea of what I am referring.

You may not need better lighting.  Perhaps all you need is a lens with a larger aperture.  Which type of installation of the device and the goal are you use, or used, to be drawn from this sample?

  • In the first video too dark files / how to set up the dynamic range better?

    Hello!

To start, here's my basic/setup info:

I am using Pro 9.2.0 (41) first build 10.0 Win, 64-bit (all updates are in Place to date,) on an i7 - 5930 K with 32 GB of RAM and GTX 770. The source of the layer footage is uncompressed AVI (captured with card HDDP Unigraf UFG-06 via the HDMI cable), 60 frames per second, with about 200 Mbit/s data rate, 12-bit, YUY2 video. I have CUDA and the problem occurs regardless of this.

So the plot is, I'm running software on PC - 1, send the image of PC - 2 with the acquisition card, which records everything with the plug I wrote earlier. Problem is that when I copy the files to the PC-1 and import for the first, they appear darker than the real source. I tested with a test image of color, that I took a video capture card and then display and (professionally) alt-tab the original test image with the videos on a single screen. VLC video shows almost 1 = 1 with the original, but the first and all exported first lose one or two 'blocks' of dark colors and therefore lack of information.

  • Animated video appears darker on the Mac computer screens?

If this has been driving me crazy. No indication on it will be great!

I made a video of animation on a desktop Windows 8. My screen is actually a model TV Sceptre that I converted to a monitor. The brightness of the screen is placed high, but it is not the highest. When I visited my animation I use these parameters, specified by my employer. In the Format Options I put it as a MPEG 4 video at the highest quality.

    sample4.jpg

When I look at the video rendering on my computer, it seems, a bit on the side more dark but clear and contrasting, like I want to. When I need to show my employer video, I have to upload it to a video hosting site. For larger files my animation upload can take ten minutes to download, if she can manage the large size. Often I compress the video of 60% of its size and then download the .mp4 (rather than as the original .mov) video on the hosting site. But when my employer he looks on his Mac, the video is significantly lower and more muddy.

To give you an idea of what looks like the animation, here is a sample

    samplesss.jpg

Here is what I think continues to be:

-Mac changes the color quality of videos, similar to the impression of an RGB image file that should really be a CMYK image

-When I compress video colors become dimmer

-The large amount of black in the video makes all drive

-My TV monitor not expensive watch way too bright colors

There are other reasons for this? Is there a RAM Preview or the color adjustment I need to set in After Effects for this problem? I'd like some answers ASAP since this project is very close to finish and it is literally the only thing I have left to work on it. Thank you!

There are other reasons for this?

    Yes.

When I made my animation I use these settings (picture here)

You get what you ask - you use H.264 inherited from Apple, which is riddled with bugs, been did not update as ever and mess with the Gamma. Use native H.264 encoder AE via Adobe Media Encoder. In addition, you have reading to do on color management, how CoDecs use different ranges of Gamma and color and how the Gamma is different for Mac and Windows PC. This is all basic stuff that you can find a lot of info on the web.

  • The video is dark and black and white - first Pro CC 2014

    Hello world

I just downloaded the demo for first Pro CC 2014 and started working on the beginner tutorials. Loading videos in PPCC, they play back very dark black and white. Audio is good but the video is barely visible.

I use the tut files from prod_cc_learn_pr_getstarted. Videos look in Windows media player and VLC, there seems to be something to do with the way PPCC is rendered.

Is there any configuration that I need to change or what material?

My GPU is a little and not supported by Adobe, but I thought that software rendering would continue to operate.

I have no problem with the video in Pinnacle studio or studio GoPro.

    System:

    Win 7 PRO

    Intel Core i5 750 2.67 GHz

    16 GB RAM RIPJAWS

    ASUS P7P55D PRO

    ATI Radeon HD 4800

I should have done a reboot before posting. The problem has been resolved.

  • Mixed problem Audio and video dark

    Hi all

I have a question about how to isolate the channels audio recording in my Canon. I have the microphone of the camera to record sound nat on channel 1, a micro-stick in channel 2. When I put them in the clip of the HDD that I recorded, the clip is available in mixed. In any other editing software I've used, it would come with a video clip and 2 audio clips, 1 for each channel. When I turn the rest I can iso neck pickup, but it will only play on the right channel.

I guess what I'm asking, that's how I can get what I recorded from the microphone of stick on channel 2 to play on both channels? I'm sorry if it does not make sense, but I always update my skills of creation.

Also, I noticed that the images I have saved in some test shoots happen much darker than what I see in the viewfinder of my camera. Any ideas on that?

    Thank you.

The above will work well, but I prefer to take together the clips to import two mono tracks... that way you can mix the two you prefer. Using the right command left/filling of filling will simply make a replacement, and if you later decided you wanted some of the sound of the other channel, you're out of luck.

Before you put the clips on the timeline, right-click on the item in your tray and select "Edit > Audio Channels" and select "Mono". That will bring to your film with each channel broke its own mono track.

Regarding your darkest video clips, I don't know... All screens will show things differently, and it could be that your camera monitor brightness is mounted too high. Also, FWIW, having images underexposed (too dark) is always better than over-exposed, you always bring up the brightness, but if you are cut off, you can never recover the loss of information.

  • How to lighten a video very dark?

Only, I have converted an old VHS (1973) video marriage to an "avi".

Unfortunately the lighting in the Wedding Hall was very poor, giving a very dark reading tasks.

I raised the 'brightness' of 40% (a lot I think) and 'contrast' 20% and it is now quite grainy.

Any suggestions or am I trying to achieve the impossible?

Another thing to try... Place the clip on the timeline. Now, copy it to a higher path. Cut the top track. Now, apply levels and brighten up but make it dressed. Now announces a blur to the clip... Not too fuzzy, but a little.

Now turn on the rail upper and lower opacity of the headrail revealing dimmed dressed below the track. This should be able to get brighter without the addition of grain. You will need to tweak it, but I got acceptable results with the old images like that.

  • Why does the video appear darker it is?

    Hello

I used FCPX for a few years but I started on FCP and must go back occasionally.

I don't know how or why, but the images in the viewer and canvas appears darker than it really is. But when I export without problem, everything's fine.

Any ideas? At something I touched on by mistake?

What's also weird is, there is no record for the FCP or FCS in the Applications folder. There should not be? In one case, shouldn't be Qmaster or something or other? I just installed FCP of FCS on my new MBP 8 months past, but maybe I trashed a few things by mistake. Should I color or any other application?

    The best
