ThinkPad Helix without backlight LCD

I am a problem with ThinkPad propeller and was looking for some advice on the troubleshooting process. The tablet was dropped and he suffered some damage. When I received the Tablet, I noticed that it still works but there is no video. After inspection, I noticed that the monitor always shows video but it is very low. When I shine a flashlight for the monitor I can see the windows login screen and the touch screen recognizes me touching the screen.

The first thing I tried was replacing the cables that connect the monitor to the motherboard that looked like some of them with force, they had been kidnapped. This had no effect on the issue as the monitor was still very dark when I lit.

I thought that the monitor was the problem and decided to replace all of the entire screen. I was able to get another monitor corresponding to the reference of the mine and he traded with the former. When I turned it on after swapping the monitor I stil had a very dark screen. If it wasn't the monitor or the cables that connect the screen to the motherboard then the only thing that remained was the motherboard.

Again, I found a motherboard replacement for unity and he traded. When I turned on, I still had the same problem as before, very dark video. I'm still not sure about what could be causing the problem and any help would be greatly appreciated. It looks not to the propeller of thinkpad has an lcd inverter or I would have tried replacing only the first.

The real problem was the motherboard. The replacement motherboard that I received was wrong and also had the same problem with no LCD backlighting. I replaced the motherboard with one that I bought and the laptop works fine now.

  • Cover/Stand for ThinkPad Helix when it is used in the form of tablets - all Solutions?

Like my Helix TP, but I think it's not as convenient to use as a table, because I do not have a stand for her. I have to lay it flat on the surface, or to hold with one hand (and therefore typing with one hand). All the solutions out there? I'm not aware of a cover or support for the entire computer. But even if there was just a cover or a support I could use when in tablet mode (re: no attached keyboard). Thank you!

Good day and welcome to the community.

Yours is a 1st generation machine? If Yes, what would you say to put in the configuration of 'stand' as shown here:
    http://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Helix-series-laptops/ThinkPad...

With a 2nd generation machine, I think you would need to have Pro KB/base to get the same setup. I don't think it's possible with the standard ultrabook KB/base.

    Does that help?
    Kind regards.

  • Delete Non uniformity of the backlight lcd color

I have a display cluster backlight LCD where I have to enter the text using OCR. However, given that the LCD backlight comes Center angle, he y nonuniformity of the background color as the light is not evenly distributed across the entire LCD. What are the options I have to consider to deal with the LCD backlight image to make it look like its evenly lit?

If the lighting conditions are not changed from image to image, then take a picture where all segments are turned off, store this reference image, then simply subtract from the actual image (the best way to do it - with SGL type permitting performance) - then your no consistency goes.

  • Re: Backlight LCD rest not work on Portege R500

Well, I'll explane you my problem, I have a Portege R500 NoteBook. Yesterday, when I was working with my laptop, I had to move, and something strange happened. The LCD has started on and off, and then the light remained off the coast. When I push the backlight button to turn it on, the light gets on only one second and then automatically go down again.
I think that the button is disabled or something like that.

    Please, can you help me?

    Kind regards.

When the light is off, you see something on the screen and computer office or else plans?

And backlight button do you mean? I assume that, if this happens sporadically, only the subsystem of LCD or maybe something around the screen has some hardware poorly run and should be checked by an authorized service provider.

I would like to learn more about your problem, then maybe we can proobably exclude some hardware for error...

If not, you should check on the Mainpage Toshiba for the support home page and search for the next provider of services available in your country.

  • Satellite A110-293 - sparkling backlight LCD

    Hello world

I use with widescreen LCD TOSHIBA Satellite A110-293. Since I bought my laptop, that I'm observing that the upper-left corner of the screen is brilliant. The problem arises when I reduce more brilliant for low levels of backlight. It also occurs when the LCD is witched and sudenly started. It is sometimes difficult to notice this 'problem', especially when you work with a high level of the most brilliant of the LCD screen, but when the past at lower levels, it irritates me. Computer is under warranty. I was wondering what should I do now and how to slove this problem.

I'm a little afraid to send the laptop to the service, because I heard some oppinions as if it's "not so big" or not easily noticeable service repair and send the laptop, make me pay for the transportatnion of the computer (it happens in Poland where I come from).

Another think I wanted to ask is that I have also spotted a large enough space or backslash on hinghes who hold the LCD. When opening screen you can feel that he can easily move forvard and backwards (1 cm) in other words they are not waterproof LCD hand. Is this normal after using the computer for the next few months?

Thank you very much and I am sory if I have a few mistakes 'English', during the writing of this post.

    Hello

If your problem does not so heavily bother you, then do the following: If you can find one near your city or your local authorized service partner, can wear the machine
by yourself for them. This, because you can explain deeply what is the problem and show them how the problem can be reproduced.

Otherwise, if I were you, I would write a LONG letter accompanied by a DETAILED explanation of your problem and tell them that your fear they won´t find the error and they should watch thouroghly
    to find this error.

As for the hinges, write this but increasingly on the letter, I think they'll just a few screws and the problem should be solved.

  • ThinkPad Helix: Is the included pen?

    Hello

I want to buy a thinkpad propeller.

    Display technology specifications is:

    11.6 "400nit Full HD (1920 x 1080), digitizer and Pen, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 S (2 x 2 AGN), 2MP camera, camera 5MP 1080prear 1080 p

Digitizer and Pen means? The device is VAT included with a pen, or he is able to utilizeing a pen?

How can I determine if the device has a pen?

    Please help me!

If the model of your purchase is a digitizer, then it will be delivered with a stylus. The pen has a location conveniently located in the upper left corner of the portion of the slate of the machine. If the model you buy does not have a scanner, then it will ship with a pen. You can refer to the thread below for details, but what I wrote here about is the short of it.

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-Tablet-ThinkPad-laptops/can-I-add-a-pen-to-Helix-if-it-didn-t-c...

What I hear in what respect love the Pan is to love the specific pen that comes with the propeller in the box. It is pretty thin and small, so if you have big hands you will find written with her bulky. It's yours if you prefer a different pen. As long as your propeller has a digitizer, any pen should work.

  • Satellite L10-333 without BACKLIGHT on screen

My Toshiba L10-333 when turned on lights and display also, only that there is no lighting, so I don't see anything on the screen without the help of an outside light.

If there is someone who can help with this problem please please help. I think that it has to do with, the power of the LCD. If the main power circuit problem, can it be bypassed? Even if it means losing control over the brightness of the screen?

Any ideas would be welcome. Also, if anyone has the circuit of Satellite L10-333, please report it. Thank you.

In such a case, you should send your machine to an authorized repair partner since it clearly sounds like a hardware failure. If I were you I would not try to repair it by oenophile because when not with something you might destroy your whole machine.

If you need assistance to find an ASP simply go to the Toshiba Mainpage (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/) go to Support downloads & -> support homepage-> find an authorized Service partner

  • T400 without BACKLIGHT, no status lights on the inverter

    Hello

Backlight of my t400 died there not too long ago... pinkish hue before he cut out completely is the death, give right outside?

Apparently it's not the whole story, I replaced the backlight without success then replaced the inverter and don't always show no results.

An external monitor will work fine and I can see an image on the screen with a flashlight shining on the screen.

I noticed another symptom though, also the backlight works is not the green status lights on the inverter also do not turn on. However, when I installed the new inverter first I remember lights works but the backlight doesn't work do not.

    What do you think guys?

A connector/cable problem, a problem of motherboard (fuse?) or UPS (I have a feeling that new one I got is fried).

    Thank you

  • AC adapter - 90 units of safe to use with Thinkpad Helix W?

The power adapter supplied with my Helix 45W unit, model ADLX45NLC2A. There the rectangular yellow tip.

I also have some maps for carbon Thinkpad X 1 (90W, same tip) and I have a Lenovo Ultraslim 90W travel adapter with rectangular yellow end (which I use to load a carbon X 1).

I need a spare adapter for my Helix, but I now have a bunch of cards to yellow tip the propeller in good form physics. Can I use the adapter 90W Ultraslim and carbon X 1 on my Helix adapters?

    Thank you

Yes you can use it. The propeller will automatically sense the power rating of the adapter, it will not increase the use of voltage (so underway, given that the voltage remains unchanged) which is required by the machine.

  • boot thinkpad t61 without keyboard

I have the following problem with my Thinkpad T61.

Every few minutes the computer begins to behave as if you press a few keys on the keyboard. The keys are not physically stuck, the system behaves just as if they were. Sometimes happens for no apparent reason, but I can still get there by pressing any kye on the bottom right of the keyboard.

I concluded that the keyboard is faulty and ordered a new.

In the meantime, I am using my laptop with an external (USB) keyboard. This does not solve the problem completely, b/c the laptop still allows the internal key, so always it messes up too frequently. I tried to disable the keyboard, but does not have Device Manager to enable me to do. I thought to remove the keyboard, but then I don't have a power button!

Does anyone have an idea for me to know how to use my laptop until the replacement keyboard arrives?

Is it possible to start the computer without keyboard connected?

If you have the wake on lan feature enabled from the bios, then you may be able to get the machine so that it starts by sending a magic packet from another computer on the network.

Other than that you need a dock, which have an external switch.
