Darken the entire photo but to create the highlighted area

Hi all

I know this is probably very simple but...

What is the best way to go for a photo for, say 50% opaque layer and then create a rounded rectangle or circle which is 100% transparent (so the image under/through the circle/layer looks like 100% light?)

I want to create an image where a small piece is light at 100% but the rest of the image is much darker.

Concerning

Frank W

You can add an adjustment layer that could darken your entire image to as dark as you like. Once you have that layer target of the adjustment layer mask layer and paint with paint black low opacity on the box of the desired highlight image

He is an annoying problem that I face every day.

When I highlight text on 2 consecutive lines (yellow), I won't be able to select or to do something with the area in the red zone. When I click on these areas in the red zone, it will select the highlights. Let's say, I want to emphasize the word "independently", this task will be much harder with this bug.

However, the area in the green zone works without any problem.

  • Deleting photos, but it still says there are 900 MB photos.

    Hello

I just removed all of my photos in my iPhone 6, but storage has always said that I have photos for like 929 MB.

The funny thing is that when I check iTunes, it says I have 355 photos taking 944MB. But I just removed everything from the phone by going to pc > iPhone > DCIM.

Anyone know what these "ghost" pictures are and has a solution for the problem?

I have not synced all photos from my computer to my iPhone and my iCloud and photostream are turned OFF.

Check first of all, the album recently removed in Photos, which is a novelty after iOS 8.1. If it is empty you may have come across a strange bug where deleted photos are not actually deleted. To check what followed these rather strange instructions:

    • Go to settings/general/Date & time
    • Disable automatically the value
    • Tap the current date/time and roll back about 2 years
    • Click general in the left upper corner
    • Launch the Photos app and go to the recently deleted album (even though it says there are 0 photos)
    • It is full of pictures? If so, remove them
    • Return to settings/general/Date & time and restart the value automatically

This can certainly be done with the free player. Use the comment square tool to mark the area you want to highlight, and then press Ctrl + E to open the properties bar. Select the comment you added and you will be able to set the fill color and level of opacity (as well as some other parameters).

If you want you can then right click on the comment and click on "Use current properties default" so that these settings will be applied automatically to all new comment (of this type) that you create.

Unfortunately, the highlights are overexposed so far that there is nothing there to improve.  Just solid white pixels.  Unless it is a JPEG from a RAW file, the only thing you could imagine doing is painting or clone in some color, but it won't have to look good.  If it is a RAW file, you may be able to resume some highlights reducing exposure and increase the recovery of high lights, as a RAW file contains more data than is in a JPEG made him.

    Hello, manoj0910.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

Looks like you can't synchronize the pictures located on your external drive.  I need a little more information about your configuration to provide a better answer.  However, we will try to sync your photos through the section of the file through the article below.  You just need to direct iTunes to where your photos are stored on your external drive.

If your photos are in a folder

    1. Select "Choose a folder" from the context menu.
    2. Choose the folder where you store your photos.
    3. Click on apply.

You can arrange photos in subfolders to create photo albums.

Sync photos from your computer to your device iOS through iTunes

    See you soon

Now, when I import video clips in Photos, it is made available in Photos but not in iMovie. Old clips still appear in iMovie, but not the new clips. It is not possible to import new clips with iMovie import function as iMovie cannot locate the file. How can I get the clips in iMovie?

    Hi a random string,.

The workflow I've always used is to create a folder for the videos and photos that I use in my video project and export (or drag) according to Photos or Aperture or iPhoto library in the folder.  Then use the Finder application to import the files into iMovie.

The following resources explain why you can't see the Photos in the media browser:

If the media browser shows all your photo library
    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204669

Sometimes the media browser, which allows applications like iMovie or Pages use images, pictures, shows all the available photos to your photo library.

This happens when you use iCloud photo library with the preference to optimize Mac storage enabled.

The media browser shows pictures that have the original image or a full preview size stored on your Mac. You can make a photo available temporarily for the media browser by double-clicking on it. This will download the original to your Mac, where it will be available in the media browser so that Photos optimizes still to save disk space.

If you want to take pictures in permanently available Photos in the media browser, follow these steps:

    1. Select file > New Album... from the menu bar of Photos. Name the new album.
    2. Click on the photos you want to make available in the media browser.
    3. Click the Add button.
    4. Click on the Albums tab at the top of Photos and find the new album you created.
    5. CTRL-click (or right-click) the album, then select Download this Mac originals.

This will download the full resolution of the images you have selected for your Mac, which makes them available at all times in the media browser.

Note: You can do all the photos in your photo library available at all times for the media browser allowing to download the originals of the Mac in the preferences of Photos, but you will lose the benefits of clutter in preference to optimize Mac storage.

      • To play or pause the selected clip: click on the Play button (or press the space bar).

      • To access the next or previous item: click the next or previous button.

Note: If you are at or near the end of the selected item, you can click the back button to return at the beginning of the clip.

      • For fast forward: move the pointer over the following button and hold down the mouse or trackpad button.

I created a pdf form to a Word doc with the air police 9 pt formatted; the text on the pdf form is air 9 pt, but the fields are formatted in courier 12 pt - how can I reformat the police in the fields?

Edit the form fields so that they use Helvetica by 9 points. Do not set the Arial font. Acrobat/Reader will use a private version of Arial as a substitute for Helvetica. If you specify Arial, it will integrate the entire police (sometimes several times), makes that increase the file size unnecessarily.
