  (1) be sure that the variable PS_APP_HOME points to the right directory where HCM has been installed (check tab (default) ConfManager/profile / Edit/ProcessScheduler).

  (2) be sure that you have checked the box "Database Peoplesoft HCM" during the installation of the application. Open the HCM_InstallLog.log log file in the directory where you installed the application.

  You can have something like this:

  CHOSEN_FEATURE_LIST = database demo of PeopleSoft HCM

  CHOSEN_INSTALL_FEATURE_LIST = database demo of PeopleSoft HCM

  CHOSEN_INSTALL_SET =

  -Online this means only demo is installed and you can not go for something else (with the exception of Peopletools system database that you don't want).
  If you have a long list of features, make sure that there is something like this:

  CHOSEN_FEATURE_LIST = PeopleSoft absence management,<...snipped for="" reading,="" this="" is="" the="" list="" of="" the="" features="" you="" checked="" when="" installing="" hcm...="">, PeopleSoft HCM Demo Database, database of PeopleSoft HCM

  CHOSEN_INSTALL_FEATURE_LIST = PeopleSoft management of absences,<...snipped for="" reading,="" this="" is="" the="" list="" of="" the="" features="" you="" checked="" when="" installing="" hcm...="">, PeopleSoft HCM Demo Database,database of PeopleSoft HCM

  CHOSEN_INSTALL_SET = PT

  I tested it, if the database of PeopleSoft HCM is disabled during the installation (and consequenty not list features in the log file), there is no option to install a SYS database later.

  If this is the case, you can reinstall the app in the same directory. I don't think it will hurt.

  I installed for the first time on my laptop. I wonder what I have to select the two system databases in Data Mover?

  A demonstration of the system database is a Peoplesoft database without any dummy data, but all the operation generally for purposes of TST, QA and PROD.

  A database system is a database of Peopletools without Peoplesoft module, generally used to performance monitor.

  A demonstration database is a database of Peoplesoft with dummy data for study and demo.

  Choose the one that is more appropriate to the use you want, very probably a demo.

  Finally and above all, whatever you choose, it will install Peopletools, you don't have to install them separately.

  I am a newbie. I don't know much on the Data Mover, but I installed Peoplesoft in my laptop.

  When I run scripts in Data Mover, there are a few scripts that should be run for hours. I also felt that she hang up. but actually it was not to hang up.

  If we go into C:\Documents and Settings\COMPNAME\Local Settings\Temp and sort by modified date you will see some file update every second (or a few seconds).

• Data Mover Peoplesoft HCM 9.2 error

  I try to install Peoplesoft HCM 9.2 demo on Virtual Box. When executing the < SID > .ora (PSHRDEMO. ORA) file in data mover, the process fails when it tries to execute the statement ENCRYPT_PASSWORD *; All the previous installation steps performed without error.

  Error message: process aborted. Perhaps due to the JVM is java class not available or missing or blank password.

  I checked the psoprdefn table and the password (field operpswd) is met. I installed the JDK (Oracle JDK 7 55 of update for Microsoft Windows (64-bit) x 64) that came bundled with HCM 9.2 on delivery.

  Searched the web but found no solution. Creates a new 9.2 and loaded with old JDK VM comes with HCM 9.0, still the same error.

  First of all, my setup is:

  Database Oracle 10 g rel 2.
  PeopleTools 8.49
  HRMS 9.0
  
  I'm trying to install peoplesoft HRMS for learning purposes.
  
  I'm at the stage of the installation where I use data mover to create scripts to import for the creation of the database. I run Data Mover signature as SYSADM and select configuration database from the file menu. In the select the Peoplesoft Application screen, I check the demo but don't see any application in Peoplesoft Applications drop-down list. Even if I select the system option button, I see "PeopleTools database system - American English" as the only application.

  I am doing a PeopleSoft installation for the first time. I installed all of the necessary components on my machine Windows and VM Linux on it. I created the demonstration database and when I try to launch Data Mover, I get the following error:
  
  File: Error SQL Access ManagerSQL. Stmt #: 2 error Position: 0 return: 12154 - ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
  
  I have an entry for the database in tnsnames.ora. The listener is running and I can't tnsping database. Any ideas?

  I don't know what is ORACLE_HOME regarding your 32-bit client, but clearly when executing sql * more trying to get a file there tnsnames.
  Copy the existing tnsnames.ora from the first to the second directory, try again and do a report.

  I need a suggestion for a project I am managing.
  
  I am responsible for loading data on PeopleSoft HCM 9.1. The company has 100,000 employees around the world. To minimize errors in the conversion process, I decided to load data using CI. I will explain the whole process:
  
  (1) import data from TXT to the tables of the scene;
  (2) make a basic validation (required fields, rules of relationship, etc.) to improve the performance of CI;
  (3) import all data in the table in step at CI.
  
  The customer will use all HCM modules, including the payroll system. So, what do you propose? Can I proceed with load of CI? How will representation be? How many hours do you think it will take to load all the data?
  
  The customer has a solid infrastructure with processors of AIX, Oracle 11 g and Oracle RAC.

  Personally, I loaded ~ 100,000 lines of personal data (no WORK/pay - it was an implementation of the Admin of the student) in a little more than 2 hours, using the method you describe. There was a preliminary process to divide the data into three 'son' and simultaneously run the three charges. I didn't do any manipulation of the preliminary data, but let the App Engine to manipulate the data and control the CI all at once. I did a load of WORK data, but I know of a conversion that does personal/work (rental & power) in 6 hours approximately with a population of similar size. I don't know about the payroll. That said, I would suggest using other less drawings intensive App Server for the simplest charges does not require a lot of validation. The App using CI engines can be as fast as SQR: design and planning are essential.

• HCM 9.1 "Feature pack 9.1 data mover scripts" is missing

  I installed the pack HCM 9.1 9.1 feature multi-lanague. After installing 8,51 PT and HR 9.1 ML, I can't import for HR 9.1 scripts in Data Mover. There are scripts only for PT 8.51. Is anyone know why scripts for HR9.1 ML is missing? Any advice is helpful.

  As I said previously, you should check the log generated by the MDS file and as explained Jean-Marc, despite his suspended looks, the script can continue behind.
  A database of loading may take some time, depending on the configuration of the server/network.
  If you have an error in the unique key, this means that the tables has already loaded, so you can drop it and restart the DMS of this table or restart from scratch.

  My operating system platform is oracle enterprise linux 6 (2.6.32 - 71.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP). Several houses of oracle database are in place. Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g are all installed in different places on this machine. The operating system oracle and peoplesoft to os account (ex: pshrtest2 - os peoplesoft administrator account) select or choose what version of oracle at the time of the connection; 9i, 10g or 11g. Currently, I am trying to create the HRMS 9.1, database of demonstration of peopletools 8.52 in Oracle 9i. I am familiar with the manual steps of generation of database demonstration using Data Mover (linux: $PS_HOME/bin/psdmtx). This version of demonstration via Data Mover manual step is a failure for the peopletools, 8.50.00, 8.51.00 and 8.52.00, but he managed to previous revisions of peopletools such as 8.48.00, 8.48.10, 8.49.00.

  Ora-12705 error is only being received from the peopletools 8.50.00 and above (8.50.00, 8.51.00, 8.52.00) revisions. This error is also received through the application server, even if the original demonstration database has not yet been built. This ora-12705 error is not generated in the previous revisions of peopletools (8.48.00, 8.48.10, 8.49.00). What possible environmental settings can be established and used to address this issue (ex: $NLS_LANG, $LANG)?
