DataPump importing from a card reader

Aloha,

I would ask my problem about the importation of datapump. I am importing a datapump having a significant size, I have to create a player card just for temporary storage. My problem is that I have a problem when importing from my dump (datapump) resides on a card reader. The errors are listed below.

ORA-39002: invalid operation
ORA-39070: unable to open the log file.
ORA-29283: invalid file operation
ORA-06512: at "SYS." UTL_FILE", line 536
ORA-29283: invalid file operation

Thanks for your time,

Hades

Hello
When using data pump import, you must have this file under the system read/write access in the directory path.then only it works as you are scheduled.

  • LR 2.3 freezes when importing from CF card reader photos

We use LR for some time.  Repeatedly noticed when import a few hundred new photos than LR 2.3 will freeze for importing photos from a CF card reader (Lexar Professional Player and Lexar CF cards).  The computer must be rebooted which causes corruption catalogue and had to start all over again. I use an iMac (3.06 GHz Intel processor dual core) with 4GBs of RAM and 800 GB HARD drive.  All the operating system software are uptodate.  I was wondering if others have the same problem and what, if any, work arounds could be out there.  Adobe does not have this problem on their Web site.

Image capture is an application that ships with Mac OS X. It can be used to control what happens during a reconnaissance of the card, but it is not necessary. I have my Mac configured to simply use Finder to copy maps, if for some reason, I use LR.

I think that once you reformat your card, you may find LR will very well be important.

    Upgrade, or -.

Convert raw DNG images using the Adobe DNG Converter program free of charge your Sony raw images. Then import the DNG versions in Lightroom.

"Adobe DNG Converter" is not part of Lightroom (or Photoshop), but a separate (standalone).

You "run" program, select the folder of images from Sony, select a folder for the output DNG files.

    Hi rsev,.

For existing photos, select all your images in the grid view, and then click the Reset All button in the quick develop Panel. Then click on the auto tone button to correctly apply this feature.

To prevent this from happening in the future, choose Lightroom > preferences > Presets (Mac OS) or edit > Preferences > Presets (Windows). Uncheck the apply auto tone adjustments.

Reference: thumbnails appear black in Lightroom CC 2015.2/6.2

    It will be useful.

  • Import from SD card does not store the files on hard drive, but only references to SD card after import.

Hi - for some reason, files of my card SD imported into lightroom, but referencing only the SD itself card and as files within the usual on my macintosh HD library, of course, when I eject the SD of my iMac, lightroom do not know where the files are more. I tried to delete LR and re-import but the same thing happened. I also saved the DCIM folder on desktop and tried to import from there, but again, it is important files directly to my address in LR, which means that I have to keep my SD card. I use LR for a while and this is the first time that this has happened. I imported the files to another SD card later and everything worked as it should. I really want to make sure that my original files are where they should be on the hard disk and in LR, so I can safely eject my card and not to lose my files. Can someone tell me how to go about this please?

When you perform the import, you must select the COPY option, and under the Destination on the side right, you must select a location on one of your hard drives.

  • Boot from the card reader

    Hello, everyone!

I made bootable (1 GB) Flash drive and SDHC-card (8 GB) bootable.

In the first case, I can start but in the second, I can't.

    Computer:. Presario Compaq CQ61-310ER.

    BIOS is updated.

Card reader works fine (with card SDHC in Win7).

    What should I do?

    Hello

I looked on this topic, and here's what I discovered:

All storage devices that can be plugged into usb must meet the USB Mass Storage standard. There is a start of this section. If standard USB Mass Storage cannot apply in full (without standard boot section).

Some of the old external usb card readers have no start function. All modern readers start function (the case is not proven).

Internal drive can be connected to internal pci or usb. To start, in the first case, the bios must support 'pci boot function' (I don't know the correct name for it) and the reader must supports the start function. To begin in the second case bios must supports usb startup function and the reader must fully supports the usb mass storage standard. My player in-house to meet a basic element of the standard without start USB Mass Storage function. I found a lot of posts on this topic. If this is not a problem of my computer.

Topmahof thank you very much for your time and your answers.

I mark my problem as solved.

  • Impossible to import photos from the card reader into Lightroom 6

When importing, seen happen on the screen, but when I type "import" I get a message that the files cannot be read.

When you get the message "cannot be read", it really means that the files cannot be written. Namely, the place you attempt to copy images in its permissions set so that you cannot write there. You will need to change the permissions on the destination folder. Then you will be able to import.

I have a mac and lightroom 3.6. I have never had bad to import photos before.  Today, whenever I try to import photos from a memory card or my computer, the icon "on hold" is displayed and the program crashes.  Only way out is to force the resignations of lightroom.  How can I fix this and why this is happening?

Only, I solved the problem... My mac has updated the day before to a version that is not compatible with my old version of lightroom.  Only way to solve this situation is to buy the upgrade.

    Thank you very much!

  • Import from SD card

I have about 800 images to import and it is only the first 600 that I can upload them on my computer, but when I try to bring in lightroom that all my options are grayed out. If I select one of the images grayed out in the display of lightroom it says the file is already there.

So the image is already in the LR catalog file.

Take one of the names of files and do a search in LR for her. Bar filter, text option and type the file name. Maybe they are in a different folder.

It has been my experience that LR is not to make mistakes like that. If they are gray then these images are already in the catalog.

  • Import from SLOW USB 3.0 card reader... but normal drive internal

Member of creative cloud (latest versions of Lightroom)

I use the Pro Sandisk Extremem cards with Sandisk USB 3.0 drive.  Import to the network drive.  This done since I started using Lightroom for over a year and no problems... but lately...

The import is VERY slow.  BUT...

When I drag and drop the folder of the CF card on the desktop, I get super fast speeds (as expected).  Then I can import from the desktop to Lightroom (target is drive always networked) and imports are NORMAL (fast as it should).

Do not know what is happening but I cannot is no longer import directly from the CF card to target drive as fast as I used to.  But importing Office form to the target drive is fine.  And again, importing from CF card on the Desktop works fine as well.

    Suggestions?

    Thank you!

Well, we never suggest to involve the network or NAS drive when you use the Lightroom, but if it was working fine there must have something changed permissions or access, you can try to change the destination to another folder on the same network drive and see if that makes a difference.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7 64 bit without recognizing an SD card or SDHC card through the bult in the card reader.

12/15/10 my computer Desk Top read SDHC and SD cards without problems through the media built in card reader, but the small import window to the lower right of the screen wouldn't do anything, I have to disconnect & reconnect to get rid of it.
Then, on 18/12/10 if I inserted the card SD or SDHC card & NOTHING happen on the monitor. It was as if nothing was plugged. It would appear click on the Start button > computer as a removable storage but it wouldn't ask to import the photos. No window pop up or anything.
If I have a SD or SDHC insert card in a USB adapter so that connected on a USB Port, it works fine. I tried with four different memory cards.
Why the computer OS does not recognize that the inserted card & even the computer itself would know that it was inserted because there is a small light that flashes when something is plugged. But he doesn't want to import and MARK photos directly from the construction in the card reader?
I was on the phone with gateway 3 times by train to update ALL the drivers & try the system restore on the eve of thatI know it actually worked.
I even spent an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with a Tech. Microsft via the remote control and still could not solve the problem. Everyone wants to blame others, but I see a lot of people have very similar problems.
My computer was purchased there are 4 1/2 months. It's a gateway FX6840-03e. It is a very powerful platform but suddenly something happened and now it will not import pictures from the card reader. I have to import via USB!
The strange thing is that my sister told me that exactly the same thing happened to his computer about a week and half ago. It is configured to download & install updates automatically. I'm set up just to be notified to download and install myself.
Why backup restore & would still work on a date that we both knew for positive that our computers were working very well?
So we need help! Anyone have any solutions or suggestions? The only assistance we have received so far was "Re-install the entire operating system."

Well Finally I found the problem of not being able to import images. After so much work and all try, same re-install windows7 operating system
It turns out this is one brass bit inside the construction tabs in the card reader was not working properly! Just a. That's all it took. It would show that the card has been installed, the light on the computer itself would show a card has been installed, but he wouldn't ask to import.
THANK YOU ALL for your help and suggestions! It was great.
The computer is fairly new but it had a flaw inside the card reader. So, if anyone knows the same check the connection problem.
Once again thatnk you for your help!

  • Get Lightroom to Behave: import from a folder

I have a structure of specific files that I use which is put in place. I create new folder for filming each day before moving to Lightroom to import images from a card reader. When I bought Lightroom, all I had to do is point Lightroom to the right folder of the import dialog that appeared when I plugged the card in the card reader. Now, Lightroom creates several subfolders in the "originals" folder where I want the images to go. This has probably to do with the way in which Lightroom is set up in the dialog box import, but first of all, I don't know how to get this dialog box not appear without going through pictures to import, that I have no right now and want to get it set up correctly for images will be new everything just go directly in the folder without additional folders being created. Is it possible that I can call this dialog, so I can see what settings there, without having to take pictures and insert the card?

Click on import will open the dialog, but with nothing to import, you can not set the parameters in advance because they are based on what you have chosen in each import. In the import box, you have a load of different choices of import and place where. In your case, you must select the particular folder you want to place files with copy photos to the new location and add to the catalog in the box file and select in a single folder in the box to organize.
