  Verify that the database is added in the/etc/oratab. If it is not added there, don't display it DBCA.

  For the configuration of the CBD, you can use the command of the emca and can do,

  emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

• Windows2003 VM does not start after P2V

  Hi all

  We have done a P2V process for one our our servers.  The server we have converted had a mirror of software on the system (drive C) Windows2003 volume.  We did not affect the mirror (I'm not sure it's important or not?) before making the P2V process.  The P2V process is perfect for all volumes (this has had several volumes of data, and the system volume).  But after cranking up the virtual machine, it does is stay in the start screen "Windows2003 Server."  We can boot mode safe with no problems. I don't see the IRQ conflicts since the information system.  I have dones all kinds start troubleshooting by msconfig/selective startup process. I don't see any related events in Event Viewer that could help me to identify the problem.  We have disabled for each possible windows startup service, we might think.  Even after doing all this troubleshooting, starting the virtual machine in normal mode, it cannot cross the spash screen Windows2003.

  (Question)

  (1) - everyone has successfully done a P2V of Windows Server 2003 conversion which was a mirror of the software on the system volume?  If so, what advise you?

  This question was already asked here. I suggest that you use the search function next time. Please read this post and the response posted by chucarama. Although it applies to hardware RAID NT4, it should also work on Windows 2003.

  I have a few questions to verify. How we can make this improvement.
  My current Oracle8i is based on Windows NT server.
  (Step - 1) we try to upgrade to version 2008 and relief is windows2003 Server, then
  step - 2) installing Oracle 8i on these servers and then upgrading to Oracle 10 g.
  I found that Oracle 8i desupports 2008 Server. (So that we can not install Oracle8i please correct me if I'm wrong.)

  I have a powershell script that runs every 60 minutes on windows2003 server.  Currently, it checks the % free on data warehouses, and if a threshold is reached, he sent an e-mail to our business team to take control measures.  This procedure of e-mail is not suited for them, but they have a mechanism where they can monitor the event on the win2k3 server log tracks script, and if a specific event log are created it will be picked up and the necessary action can take place.   You will need to adapt the eventnumber, the source of the event and the type and pass this info on to your team.

  As I said previously that it has nothing to do with the forms. I have no idea what sqltools is, because it is not part of the installation of server developer suite or application. It is certainly the wrong place to ask. Maybe a google search sheds some light on your problem.

• Cannot connect to the XMLDB via http, ftp, webdav

  I can connect to XDB through a DEV instance on the same server, but cannot connect to the instance SCIDEV. The differences are THAT DEV is nls_characterset WE8MSWIN1252. SCIDEV is AL32UTF8. DEV has ports 8080 and 2100. SCIDEV has ports 8089 and 2102. HTTP request continuously a user / password without error. Watch FTP authentication failed. WebDAV continually requires a user name and password. I've tried a few things with no luck yet. What should I do to be able to connect? It is also published in Oracle support as SR 3-3043961271 technique. Please do not share the files downloaded in this forum SR.

  We have LCES Update1 SP2 installed with the pre-configured jboss for adobe on a Windows2003 server (SP2).

  On the server, I found 2 files: XMLForm.exe.hdmp (size about 600 M) and XMLForm.exe.mdmp (size 100K). These files are located in C:\Documents and Settings\ < adminuser > \Local Settings\Temp\WER***.dir00. There are 3 on the development server, these files (1. 8 g disk space); on other servers, there is 0 or 1 folder.

  Are these dumps of folders and files during installation? Can they be removed safely?

  By default Oracle (database, listener) services to run under the LocalSystem account internal. This account is not allowed to write on disks shared for security reasons. And it is this account that makes the RMAN backup, not the OS user you are connected. Redefine the Oracle services, that they run under an administrator account (if you are in a domain, use a domain administrator account), see on metalink:
