DCOM Server process Launcher / Plug and Play question

I noticed that since the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, there was a svchost process that AT all times takes 25% of my processor. The process host DcomLaunch PlugPlay and power. I have turned off the power using Selective startup, but one or two of the other is causing a problem. It also seems that my audio suddenly does not work because of the "RPC server is unavailable." No one knows why this is happening, or has a fix for this?

Try to start your system in safe mode:

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
    3. Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu (or beep) you can stop.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
    6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
    7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! • no desktop background and dcom shutdown and plug-and-play stop messages

For about a month now, I have had no splash screen. I'll have to use the Task Manager to actually use my pc that is not too much a problem just annoying really, but then for the past days, windows has been close specifying a stop plug-and-play message or dcom. Hi nikkianddave

Have you installed new software until you have encountered the problem of funds? Since then, did you install any new updates MS or applications? Is updated your Anti Virus?

    Try these steps and check:

Step 1: Perform a clean boot and see if the problem persists.

Step 2: Try to start the DCOM Server process Launcher service & Plug-and-Play.

Please follow the instructions below and the service that precedes the value Automatic.

    1) click the Start button and in the search box, type in: Services.msc

    2) press "Enter" to open the Services window.

    (3) find a list of related services above and verify the status and Startup Type.

    4) double-click the service to change the status of started and set the startup type to automatic.

Step 3: For the desktop no problem you can try to set the default value for the parameter of the windows interface:

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

In the Windows registry (open 'regedit') and go to:

  • Plug-and-Play and DEP stop computer

Randomly, my computer tells me that there was a problem with the Plug-and-Play and Data Execution Prevention must shut down and restart windows. You could try a system restore before it starts HOWEVER I wouldn't back to. better to solve

  • While the plug-and-play was still there at all, and I tried to go I still receive error message 2. could not locate the file.

    Here's the situation.

First of all only started to the top of my Asus to find was no sound. Following up to plug-and-play service has not started. It is now removed apparently.

Here are the solutions I tried, in and out of safe mode:

While the plug-and-play was still there at all, and I tried to go I still receive error message 2. could not locate the file.

In CMD sfc/scannow reached 32%, then breaks down, saying: it finds corrupted files, but could not fix.

It Startin via msconfig did not work.

Tried to go through Device Manager, which is completely empty for some reason any.

System Restore is restoring before this problem. When you attempt a restore, plug-and-play service is not returned to the existence, defective or otherwise.

I knew, but there may be malware, mutiple scans with several services did not find anything.

I tried to contact microsoft help and they might suggest only I have upgraded to windows 10. Tried several times, and he has failed to be upgraded, every time. For the most part just download windows 10 and then by restarting the computer as if nothing happened. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft community. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.

I would like to ask you:

    • You are running Windows 7 or Windows 10 on your PC?
    • When was the last time it was working fine? Remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

Given that you are unable to complete the scan of SFC and Task Manager is empty, usually reinstall or do a repair install is the best choice of action. However, we can try to fix these files and check if that helps. To do this, refer to the steps below:

    1. Open the start menu and type "cmd".
    2. Right-click on the command prompt and click "run as administrator".
    3. Type the following commands and press ENTER after each.

    DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

After you run these commands, restart the system and check.

    You can also view,

Difficulty errors of corruption of Windows by using the DISM tool / System Update Readiness
