The system shuts down. Please save all work to process and log off (which it does allow me to do so). All unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by DCOM authority NT Server trial service launcer ended unexpectedly.

    Hello 77Kuty78,

Allows you to ensure that your system is indeed clean, see below:

Try to start your system in safe mode:

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
    3. Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu (or beep) you can stop.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
    6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
    7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
    9. Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! Once the scan done remove anything it finds. Simply restart your PC to see if your problem has been resolved!

Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • DCOM Server process Launcher / Plug and Play question

I noticed that since the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, there was a svchost process that AT all times takes 25% of my processor. The process host DcomLaunch PlugPlay and power. I have turned off the power using Selective startup, but one or two of the other is causing a problem. It also seems that my audio suddenly does not work because of the "RPC server is unavailable." No one knows why this is happening, or has a fix for this?

  • Windows XP keeps restarting my computer!

Hello everyone! So I just got my Windows XP computer connected to the Internet, but first of all my internet explore 6 is extremely picky about what sites he would leave work. So I decided to download Firefox, but at the end of the installation, he said I had problems with Windows, so I clicked on "scan my computer" because what could possibly go wrong with a simple swipe? But what he has downloaded the software without my permission! So, and I was afraid it was malware, so I uninstalled instantly. But he kept giving me notices and pop-up ads. Eventually however, every time I want to start Windows, it would give an error for half a second then restart the entire computer! I didn't know if it could in fact be the problem that the software "scanned" so I decided to completely reinstall Windows. But when I had installed Windows XP, I continued having exactly the same problem! Please help me!

Hey everyone, I've solved this problem myself in completely flushing of the hard drive and reinstall Windows. But thanks for the help though.

  • Launch of DCOM server issues

In simple terms, very basic laymans.
    What is launch DCOM Server?
Is this something that I need on a laptop at home?
And I'd be worried when I ran the data on performance and the tools report showed that it uses more than 30% of the CPU usage?

I get delays and frequent messages "Not responding" and I'm trying to find out the culprit.

The DCOM Server process Launcher is a critical Windows service that starts other services according to the needs. If it stops working, Windows automatically restarts the computer to start again. That's what matters!

I worry not by him using 30% of CPU at some point in time, depending on what happens on the computer when you took the snapshot of performance. William Keener | Blog

  • Adding RAM on S6300NX, keeps restarting. Windows XP SP3 Upgrade Utility driver update fails

I have a Compaq Presario S6300NX works on XP Home and has the AMD Athlon XP processor.  The vehicle currently has a 512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM Memory Module installed.  I bought a 512 MB 333 MHZ DDR PC2700 184 pin Dimm 2.5V module install alongside the original.  I did my best to check that it is compatible through the HP site but it was purchased by an outside vendor.

The new module fits perfectly into its housing.  However when I turn the computer back on, it will just through this continuous reboot.  He could do it on the desk, but within seconds, it restarts.  Once, I got a message saying 'ended unexpectedly DCOM Server process Launcher service '.  I took the new module back out and rebooted - the computer then worked fine.  He told me that the system has recovered from a fatal (x 4) error.  But work just fine without the memory upgrade module.  Tried to reinstall, maybe user error (?), but once again, the system went into a continuous reboot cycle.

I googled the message an error I copied (on the DCOM model) and found here in the support area and HP drivers, there was an updated driver that I could do that specifically mentioned my error message "Microsoft Windows® XP SP3 upgrade utility for systems equipped with AMD processors.  I followed the instructions and downloaded the file to my desktop.  I then tried to launch the installation of many times each time to get the same error message after extraction of the files and the yes button to install.  "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update.  The update was cancelled (9998)"

These are the prereqs in the instructions: "you must be logged in as an administrator to install this update.

I went to Best Buy and bought a new module of memory.  Accompanies the PNY optima.  Worked perfectly.  After all that.  So I guess that it was probably a bad memory stick.  Thanks to all who helped!  Problem solved!
