  The customer asked if I could add an extra tab at the top after that 'group' called 'Contact us' with link to an additional page. The design was done in ActionScript 2 with references to XML files for dynamic content because it has been done in other languages.

  I modified the XML file with the correct references to a new page and a .swf file that accompanies it to play in the field of animation.

  I tried a .fla version where I duplicated one of the existing tabs script, changed the XML references and changed the variables if necessary to "con or"Con"(which is to reach us). Unfortunately, he made the menu tab go completely off the page and was patently false in some way.

  The buttons are all created using the same library object (but MC), except for the code you have in the revised file does not call on it for the con button.

  You calling on something with a name of 'con' link, which tells me that a quick check is not - then it is undefined in the code when you try to use it.  I found this by using trace (newConBut._x); After its _x value was assigned, as I said, you should try.   So the first thing you want to do is to change the following line from...

  Usually when you see messages like this when you start the computer, this means that a file has been uninstalled, but the reference to this file in the startup list remains intact.

  When the Start Up of the list (the programs that start when the computer starts) is read the system searches for this file and of course can't find it, you see the "not found" error message

  Press the Windows Logo key + R to start the box run.

  Type msconfig.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.

  Click the Startup tab.

  Expand the command column and look for the line with the same name of _NowIntoDT.vbs .

  Remove the check mark from this line.

  Click apply/OK.

  Restart the computer.

  Let us know the result.

• VBS script does not have command line parameters

  Suddenly the VBS scripts that I use for several years is no longer work correctly on Windows 7.  By "suddenly" I mean they worked Wednesday and do not work on Friday, two days later.  There were / are two incidents:

  First of all, the program default for the extension VBS WScript to CScript changed.  CScript would scripts pretty well, except that my scripts are designed to run in debug mode under CScript, with many calls MsgBox, and I need them to run unattended.

  So I re-associated .vbs WScript.  Now the question is that WScript.Arguments.Count always returns 0 even when the script is invoked with command-line parameters.  I checked with the command FTYPE that Windows is configured to pass arguments to WScript:

  C:\>Assoc .vbs
  .vbs = VBSFile

  C:\>ftype VBSFile
  VBSFile="%SystemRoot%\System32\WScript.exe" "%1" % *.

  It's as if a Windows Update has suddenly dropped support for the %

  If anyone else has noticed this?  I can't go to CScript - I wrote dozens of scripts that I designed to behave differently under CScript or WScript.

  OS = Win 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

  In the meantime, I'm going to see events in the event viewer to see if this box received updates, MS or otherwise.

  Thank you for responding.  The content of the registry that you have provided is almost identical to one that I exported from a work computer.  The only difference was in the placement of the @= line "VBScript Script file", so I tried to import them both.  No one changed the behavior.

  Fortunately, this isn't a problem only when I need to type command-line parameters.  So I also tape "WScript" before the name of the script before you press Enter.

  I don't think I'll do more to solve problems, but I'll keep trying all the answers in this thread that look promising.

• Previously, work job FTP in the batch file gives message "error opening script file.

  I have two FTP jobs on two separate machines that I've been running as tasks scheduled for a few years with success.  They are on the same network, but we're on the field, the other is out of the field.  Both are Windows XP SP3.

  Starting this week, two of them fail when you try to load the actual script FTP file.    Here is an example of the ftp command that I use: FTP d - n-i-s:C:\scripts\getmyfiles.txt

  The message says "Error opening C:\scripts\getmyfiles.txt" and displays help FTP.  I should also mention that the FTP seems to work fine if I connect from the command prompt, and does not use a script file manually.

  Both of these batch files containing similar (different but calling script files) FTP commands were executed the week last successfully.

  Absolutely without interruption would require a program to write that monitors files on the file locks and triggers a sync as soon as he sees a change.  So, since we cannot just write a program, the best thing is either:

  (1) an icon on your desktop that you can click each time you want to synchronize "synchronize my files now.

  or

  (2) plan the "my sync files' to run automatically every x minutes.  It could be a batch script that checks to see if the file is more recent and copies only files that have changed.  Although perhaps a little aggressive, you could plan this thing check-and-copy-a batch file - again to run every 60 seconds.

  Batch files allow you to control the operations very directly, but Microsoft has also made a (not supported) tool called SyncToy who does all the same things, but has a graphical interface to select your options. It can be programmed to run automatically on a schedule.
