Decommissioning of 8.1 to 7

My computer is a Pavilion 23-p149. It came with W8.1 installed.

Because I'm a translator, I need to run Office 2000, 2007 and the latest version of Office at the same time as well as other specialized and expensive software.

8.1 does not support that and fact Windows 7 Pro. So I need to install Windows 7Pro quickly (like this week).

I disabled the Secure Boot, enabled Legacy support and tried to install windows from an old OEM copy. It goes up to the end of the installation, and then it restores... to 8.1

I tried with one copy of another and it does the same thing.

I'm willing to pay for a brand new W7. But will it work? and what I am doing wrong?

It seems that AIO is a special breed when trying to downgrade to Windows 7.  This is why I said get the drivers first.

Look in the Device Manager.  Click on the symbol arrow on one of the devices that use drivers open the category. IE: Network adapter.  It will then show what is in this group.  Right click on the IE input: controller Realtek, and then properties.

Then click on the Details tab.  You will then get a box with an article that says "Description of the machine" with an arrow at the right end of this box.  Click this arrow, and then choose "Hardware ID", the items listed in the box below shows the information of the element that will guide you to the necessary drivers (put this info in Google search) do this for each item and find the drivers for Windows 7 for each item in device manager.  Save the drivers on a CD/DVD or flash cause by car, you will need after installed Windows 7.

I suspect that the installation is back to Windows 8 because it was not really installed.  Windows 7 can install ona GPT formatted drive, but you must have the installation of the retail disc to make it work.  This THREAD talking about install Windows 7 on the GPT disk.
