Default factory settings zero action

If I do a restart of Setup factory default my computer will be that it was when I took it out of the box?

If this isn't the case, Dell provide me with with reboot discs?

I have the Image .exe-Bad bug. Hope a reboot to factory default will kill him.

Thank you, The Pixman

Always include the PC model and the version of Windows in your messages.

If the warranty is still active, and Dell has available disks (for example, XP disks are probably more available). Otherwise, they can refuse or charge you for disks.

The factory reset should restore your system to its out-of-the-box state. But you will need to install all the patches, updates and Service Packs published after you obtained the Microsoft System.

Keep in mind that you will lose all everything on the disc hard order to personal files should be backed up on an external first and you have the installation disks and product keys for any software that you have installed, for example Microsoft Office.

You can go to www.spywarehammer.com and sign up for FREE , the malware removal assistance. Maybe they can help you to avoid doing a factory restore. Some experts are also members of this forum and they work fantastic conclusion and kill malware.

    Hello paulharrisonXE,

Press the combination of keys Alt + F10 at startup to start Recovery with your Acer factory settings.

If asked for a password for it, if you have not changed the try Acer recovery password 6 zeros (this is the default password for Acer).

    Then follow the prompts.

It is an Acer Aspire 5315 that my mom gave to my daughter. She says that she has never created a system restore point that requires a password so how to do this? Oh, and I have no disc as it came preloaded.

    Hello

A System Restore Point is not the process of factory settings recovery.

Using a System Restore Point puts the settings of the computer to an earlier date.

Recovery to factory settings is to reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

Some Acer models have a default password that you use to start the process of the "hidden" recovery Partition Recovery

Usually press you Alt + F10 at startup to start the process of relocation and Acer default password should be 6 zeros, unless someone has changed.

If not, give Acer a phone call.

    See you soon.

  • My office has been reset to the factory settings. I am enrolled in my sync account, but my favorites that are on my laptop, did not came to the top. Now what?

I was fortunately sync-ed a year betweem my computer laptop Mac iBook and desktop HP - a lot of bookmarks - I am a student. My office had a small problem and I got it clean and reset to the factory settings. I'm now creating upward. I installed Firefox and made Google my default search engine. Then I logged in sync - no problem (even email, password... I wrote it!) I clicked sync, but my favorites are not come to the top. I closed Firefox and re-opened, but still no bookmarks. I looked at the settings and everything is checked. I wouldn't change anything. What Miss me? Thank you.

Both devices use new synchronization and more importantly on Firefox 30.

If you you don't need the synchronization of the former, and even if you use the same address as used for synchronization of the old all should operate under the new synchronization.

I think that the new synchronization drops devices that have not synchronized within the past 21 days.

  • NB200-10Z - how to restore factory settings?

    Hello

I seem to have a pretty annoying problem with the NB200 - 10Z.
The operating system is WinXP SP3.

I was looking to restore it to its factory settings by using the tools of Toshiba, pressing F8 during the boot sequence, this however does not take me to a screen where I can choose 'Repair' as online guide of Toshiba said.
My only options were by selecting start normally, or start in safe mode, safe mode with network and so on. I have consulted the original manual included with the laptop, but that doesn't make the light on the problem, in fact I found the manual to be pretty empty.
There isn't any help on formats, restore to factory or other maintenance. Disappointing.

Another option is creating a recovery disk, however, Toshiba tool will only advise that it cannot find all the stations that contain writable media, simply because the NB200-10Z is not a CD/DVD/BD drive. The only available ports are SD and USB.

So my question is, how do I format/reset to factory settings the NB200-10Z without external CD/DVD/readers writers, using the USB/SD slots? Because I can't find a way to create an ISO recovery with the Toshiba tool, which I was able to get on a bootable USB device.
And even if there is a way to do it, how do I adjust the NB200 to boot from USB? Looking at the bios settings and boot options, showed that only the LAN and HARD drive are supported.

    Greetings,

    Boris

    Hi Boris,.

Usually, if you start media recovery disk creator, you can choose on which device (CD/DVD or USB) the recovery media must be created. There you should be able to change between the CD/DVD drive and USB. If you select USB you can create the recovery on a USB media.
You can boot from that disk if you connect before you start the computer, then go to the start of the BIOS (F12) menu and then you can select the USB key.

According to the manual of the drive recovery HARD can be started while pressing the value 0 (zero) key before Windows starts.

    Check this box!

  • Re: WIRELESS does not work after restoring the system to the factory settings

    Hello

I just had to reset my Toshiba Windows 7 laptop to factory settings, I backed everything up to an external hardrive beforehand. After the process that kept restarting my laptop on its own, he did this, while the default Toshiba program was missing (from the application of the box). He said not to interrupt or turn off the PC while it was running, but I couldn't stop it do it several times. The process finally ends the green bar hit 39/39 and let me come back to the office.

It seems to be OK now, but I can't get online, I have connected to my wireless router and it says connected with an excellent signal but I can't do anything on Internet Explorer. I would like to re - download a few things such as Adobe Flash Player, AVG Free, Mozilla Firefox but can't even get anything. It's not even an error message that appears when I'm on IE.

    Can someone help me please?

  • removed from my drive hard to the factory settings but saved the FF record I can / how can I import bookmarks?

due to a virus or something that I had to wipe my computer to its factory settings, but before I did, I made a copy of the FF in my programs. is it possible to import my favorites folder? and how would I do it?

If you have saved the Firefox installation directory (default location C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) you lost your bookmarks.

Bookmarks and other data from the user are stored in the profile folder, on Windows XP, it is normally located inside this folder - C:\Documents and Settings\ < Windows user/login name > \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

If you saved the profile folder, you can use the process in the article of the recovery of data from an old profile to copy the files to your current profile folder.

Why you press the zero key to restore factory settings?
You can restore the factory settings if you go into the advanced Windows (F8) boot menu and select Repair my computer. Then will begin the recovery of HARD drive and reinstall Windows.

In addition, this option is available on OS preinstalled Toshiba and the recovery disc, that you create yourself as mentioned in the user manual.
