  If you have not yet powered on virtual machine, you may be lucky.

  The OSGuestCustomization adds a line to the VM's VMX file. This line looks like this

  tools.deployPkg.fileName = "imc7200.tmp".

  You cannot delete a VMX file entries as far as I know, but you can change the value of an entry.

  What follows will do just that for the entrance of the customization.

  $vmName = "TestVM"

  I'm sorry. I solved this problem by myself. Preparing to customize the OS including spec comments and customization officer was incorrect.

  It seems that CentOS 7 is not taken in charge and invited the customization does not work with 5.5.2/vCenter 5.5u2 of 5.5u2/esxi. Anyone found a solution for this? < Br > I am currently using the provided operating system open-vm-tools + the plugin this Ko deployPkg http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2075048 . I used VMware provided tools and had the same results as well. IP address is not configured host name is not configured the looks like the customization comments script works but failed due to networking are declining.   First of all, you need to add a user View Composer vCenter server settings page this drop down is filled. Instructions on this operation is located on page 14 of the guide in the section titled creating a user account for View Composer:

  Configure dot1x on our access layer switch ports and I have a few problems with devices that fail authentication.  This is the current configuration on the way to the switch:

  When a non-employee connects they go through the authentication process and eventually fail dot1x and mab and placed in the vlan designated guest 7.  If you're doing a "show int gx / x status" on this port, switch-it shows the connected and to this vlan 7.  If you're doing a "show dot1x int gx / x details" it also shows the port as authorized (by Guest-Vlan) and politics of vlan is 7.  The problem is the user never gets a valid ip address - they receive only a 169.x.x.x.  Anyone has experience with this type of question or have any recommendations?

  -First of all Eteinte, your switch orders tell me you are using old software on your switch, you must pass it first of all, there was a lot of correction of a bug and improvements to dot1x/mab in recent versions

  -Your problem is probably that the client dhcp of your comments is delay until you are finished with dot1x and mab, susally tx-period to a lower number of adjustment could help the time it takes before joining the vlan comments, but could also have an impact on your computers running dot1x, you should try some different values. Also, using Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7, also helps on your machines to dot1x, and finally using supplicant AnyConnect NAM he will operate properly without having any problems when setting the timers dot1x on your switch.

  -With the new software I go with default timers, perhaps change tx-5 second period and then use the "order mab dot1x authentication" and "authentication priority mab dot1x", also having your vlan comments like your vlan by default, will be generally also solve the problem of the guests have to do a new once-popular dhcp reqeust, however you can run into problems with stuff you wan't to use mab on.

• Problems of cloning.  "Comments customization" option is not available.

  I'm cloning a Windows 2003 Client vSpherer server.  vCenter Server runs under 2008 R2 and we run ESX 4.1.  When I clone the machine I have access the "Customize the comments" page of the wizard, but everything is gray and the chosen option is "don't customize.  Why can I not select the option "Customize using the Customization Wizard".  I've attached a screenshot of what I see.

  I have problems with the customization-ip-dr tool provided with MRS. The use of SRM 4.0 and vCenter Server 4.0, the command generate generates enough empty a CSV file with only shadow vm names, vm and a 0 card ID by vm, while each VM has really several adapters and complex information that needs to be filled in the rest of the table.

  Execution fails on step 5. "Recover Normal priority VMs..." with the error: cannot complete customization.

  I'm not running a test of a race, but am running of the race, because I use SRDF adapter EMC who needs additional licenses / installs the plugin of the VSI and TimeFinder devices to perform the test.

  So is there something wrong with my formatting or information? The tool should not generate spit a fuller csv? I have never seen an example with multiple cards, it doesn't?

  I read somewhere that they were xml files? But could not find a relevant location overlooking my VC server.

  (Comments of personalization is the sysprep Wizard that appears for Windows based on Virtual Machine for model/clone creation)

  I now recall a few weeks trying to download windows security scanner live onecare and to halfway to the frozen screen download and ihad to remove my laptop battery, reinstall and at startup, I selected a restore point, ran my mcafee virus scanner and when nothing was found I thought that everything was ok. I guess that now it may be coming back to haunt me.

  Question:-can I do a clean install of the recovery disks that I did when I bought the computer and this will remove all nasties lurking on my computer. If so do you have any other advice for a successful installation.

  (Apologies to the Group: I feel that this topic was covered in a previous thread, but I searched a bit and it not found.)

  I have a lot of iMac 21.5-inch (1920 x 1080). It is currently running OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan. For some reason, the new 8.1 VMware cannot display jobs Linux properly in mode full-screen. He remains in initial mode low resolution, set scaling to fit the screen. It is never used to occur in earlier versions of Mac OS X (host) and previous versions of VMware Fusion. Which adds to the frustration, is that Linux distributions have not 1920 x 1080 is available as a pre-installed in display settings resolution.

  She can relate to VMware Tools. Some distributions have open-vm-tools pre-installed. If I try to install the VMware tools that come with VMware Fusion 8.1, I get a warning that open-vm-tools is preinstalled and should I use open-vm-tools.

  You can try this, in the Terminal of the client:

  ... to restart the guest and see if it works now.
