  I'm new to Flex and decided to follow in the article of August EDGE "learn how to build your first application with Adobe Flex 3". I have a copy of Flex Builder 3 Professional (trial version not). The article comes to a point where it says to run the application. Be familiar with Eclipse, I guess that means that a click on the button to run. But nothing happens. I don't see any errors in the issues window pane so it should work fine? At some point I closed and he did it again and when you click on something he an indication, he was doing something, but she came back with a mistake on the Flash Player debug installed. (I remembered it recently, I installed Adobe Master Collection and thought that it may have replaced the version of debugger.) I also noticed the clean option and ran that to rebuild things - but still no luck.
  
  Could someone please help to guide me in what I need to do to get my AIR application to compile and run in Flex Builder?

  Check the config of .app file. Is set visible to true? What about width and height?

• Cannot test my air application mobile on the device running ios 9.3

  I'm guessing that the packaging for the app store is probably broken too.

  When you create a project, you can select Desktop application (AIR) instead of the Web Application. If you have already built the project, you can then use the parameter similar just create a new Desktop Application and copy the files.

  Video encoding is very important.

  For example, to use base profile level 3.1 to H264 for mobile

  (and not high profile level 4.1 recommended for desktop).

  Hey, I am very new to this sort of thing and was using a Visual tool to help me create applications web flex. My question is can I convert these to operate as air apps on the playbook?

  Some MX controls (OK, a lot) are not supported under the BB SDK.  For example, mx. Alert does not work, you must use the AlertDialog QNX class.  See docs QNX to:

  In addition, FlashBuilder is the IDE that is supprted, Flex Builder (3.x) is not supprted.  FlashBuilder 4.x is what you need, but which is not supported under Linux.  You should be able to download the 0.9.1 BB SDK for Linux and the use of the CLI version for a project of will.

  If you are a Flex application, you need to change the root node of a node (Application or WindowedApplication) AIR (if not already done).  If so, act like and more taking orders from MX which are not supported, I keep your business logic and simply change the front-end server with native controls of QNX/BB.

  But first, I would try just get a "Hello World" application to compile and run as an AIR application and then send it on the Simulator to get their feet wet.  then see what it would take to get your application scope.

  I have used unique edition of DPS to create the app for the education of the children.  Each page of the application includes a web overlay that I created in animated border.  The overlay play an animation and sound via a click of a button.

  During the test the app on an IPAD, I noticed a certain behavior when the application installs in the background.  While playing the superposition of the web, I double clicked on the IPAD home button to move the app in the background.  At this stage, the animation and the sound continued to play rather than a break.

  On some other iOS apps I noticed that in this situation the app is paused playback when the home button is double clicked.  Once the application moves back in the foreground it allows the user to resume.

  So that was one of my concerns during the tests, the app has been accepted by apple and is now on the app store

  For later use, are you aware of the DPS edition simple iOS apps rejected because web overlays are not a break in this circumstance?

  If the answer is Yes, is there a method to stop the playback of web overlay when the application moves to the background in this circumstance?

  I am sure that we have no mechanism to notify the web content that the app is no longer in the foreground and the content should take a break. I'll talk to the team if we have a fix for this a while on the road.

• Test an AIR application on iOS device, without being an Apple Developer.

  I know that it is now possible to test an application on a device iOS WITHOUT be paid member of the Apple Developer program.  How do I do that?

  The way I've done things before, was to go on my developer account Apple - device UDIDs to type and create the commissioning of profiles and certificates.  I also used TestFlight - but this also requires a paid membership.

  
  So, what's the new way?

  OK - it worked!

  You need XCode 7.  Create a new iOS XCode project.  (A simple display application - regardless)  But the Bundle ID must be the same as your white AIR app ID (the same that in your configuration xml AIR fie .).

  Plug in your device, and then run the XCode application on your device.

  In XCode, you can consult your commissioning profiles - and display them in the Finder.  You will need one for this application ID.  (I did a copy).

  Then - Keychain Access (in the Utilities folder) and find your certificate listed under 'my certificates). Export it as a .p12 file (and give it a password).

  Now, you can use the .mobileProvision and .p12 file and the password, to build your AIR application to deploy your device!
