The video game Android via the AIR application is jerky

Hi all

We develop an AIR mobile applications targeted for Android 2.2 or higher. One of the requirements is to play H.264 videos on the mobile of the current folder (local file system). We conducted a show of Cork while trying to implement this feature, here are the details-

1. we use OSMF that comes with Flex Builder 4.6

2. using Adobe AIR 3.1 and Flex SDK 4.6

When the video quality MPEG4 H.264 1280 * 720 30 fps with input flow 2000 is played on the mobile device (android), however, the video frame rate is jerky on the desk, he plays very well... StageVideo is something I want to try however, right now I have no access to Android 3.0 which is required for StageVideo...

What do we lack? 3 AIR is not able to play H.264 videos on android, although the native Android video player it plays very well?

Hello

Video encoding is very important.

For example, to use base profile level 3.1 to H264 for mobile

(and not high profile level 4.1 recommended for desktop).

For more information, see the MAX of Fabio Sonnati session:

"Encoding for performance on multiple devices.

And if you have an Android phone/tablet, there is my AIR application

(For the record, I use a video player based on OSMF 1.6)

  • Run the Air Application

    People,

    I'm new to Flex and decided to follow in the article of August EDGE "learn how to build your first application with Adobe Flex 3". I have a copy of Flex Builder 3 Professional (trial version not). The article comes to a point where it says to run the application. Be familiar with Eclipse, I guess that means that a click on the button to run. But nothing happens. I don't see any errors in the issues window pane so it should work fine? At some point I closed and he did it again and when you click on something he an indication, he was doing something, but she came back with a mistake on the Flash Player debug installed. (I remembered it recently, I installed Adobe Master Collection and thought that it may have replaced the version of debugger.) So, I went to Adobe and downloaded the debugger for my Mac to Intel processor and reinstalled. But when I click the icon run the Air application when main.mxml is selected, still nothing happens. I also noticed the clean option and ran that to rebuild things - but still no luck.

    Could someone please help to guide me in what I need to do to get my AIR application to compile and run in Flex Builder?

  • cannot package animation swf inside the AIR application with API-ad-hoc of the target

    I have included a small animation today in my AIR application using a clip from movie to swf as below

    private var myLoader:Loader = new Loader();  animation connection

    private var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest("..) /.. /.. (' / data / ConnectingAnim.swf ');

    ... code to add the loader and position

    It works fine when I deploy on my device via USB, but when I try to package for ad-hoc distribution, the ipa resulting isn't fair. The screen with the animation is broken.

    I'm guessing that the packaging for the app store is probably broken too.

    You must use a loader context, unless you use the interpreter mode. Read this article:

    You want the context.applicationDomain = ApplicationDomain.currentDomain;  variation.

  • Reduce the AIR Applications to the system tray.

    Hello. Is it possible to minimize our AIR applications to the system tray? Internet Download Manager can have it's window closed but still running and appearing in the system tray, Screenshot_3.png and is it also possible to display balloon messages as do some programs? Any solution even would be really useful.

  • Definition of the deployment target for the AIR applications mobile iOS

    I can't find an "easy way" to set the target of my Adobe Air mobile project deployment.  The key/value pair, I would like to add to my info.plist file is:

    < key > MinimumOSVersion < / key >

    < string > 4.3 < / string >

    This will set the minimum iOS version of my application to 4.3.

    When I try and manually add this key/value pair in my file descriptor app, in the region of < InfoAdditions >, I get the following error:

    "error 105: application.iPhone.InfoAdditions contains an invalid value.

    So I'm thinking that FlashBuilder is already setting the value of "MinimumOSVersion".  However, I can't find anywhere in FB to set the value of myself.

    I DID find instructions on how to disassemble the .ipa file, locate the .plist file and modify it, and then rebuild the .ipa, here:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3672550#3672550

    However, I paid pretty decent money for this FlashBuilder IDE, and I'm really surprised/disappointed this isn't something that can be done in app descriptor file.

    Can someone from Adobe please confirm if this is true?  Is it possible to set this value manually in FlashBuilder?

    Thanks for the link.  If the answer is that FlashBuilder does not permit allows you to set 'MinimumOSVersion' to your application, because it hairpin 4.0.  We would like to put our target of basic deployment of iOS iOS 4.3 for our application, but unfortunately it's not looks like it is possible with FlashBuilder.

  • air application connects to the web service although swf don't

    Hey there,

    I will try and be brief. We built a kiosk application in flash builder a pure as3 project. When we went to convert it into an air application all seems fine except for two issues. one is that we cannot use the Security.allowDomain("*"); Tagus. not much we comment on this possibility, but when we do we cannot connect to the web service that we use. Here is the error msg that we get:

    now, if we run just the swf file it connects very well. the only reason I need this app to be in a wrapper of the air is so that I can remove the print dialog box. otherwise, I'd create just an exe file.

    any ideas would be great!

    Thank you

    OK, found the problem!

    When we built the as3 project and we implement web service calls, we used post from get we caused problems. We have been connecting to a service of qa so that may have something to do with it. In all cases, we have changed the headers in the air application to get and it seems to work fine. Why would he works in the SWF and not the air who knows, but there are go!

  • Does not allow the AIR white registration server support?

    My apologies if this point is already covered, the search never seems to work for me.

    I've been playing with SWF hashing and providing a SWFApplicationIdentifier in the playwright.

    This feature is supposed to work for AIR?  That is, can I get a hash for an AIR application and have the locked license only for this application?

    Thanks for any information.

    To determine the Publisher ID, you can use the AdobePublisherIDUtility.jar command line utility included in the reference implementation. Go to tools on-line reference Implementation\Command and run:

    java-jar AdobePublisherIDUtility.jar /META-INF/signatures.xml

    For the SampleVideoPlayer_AIR20.air version on the DVD 2.0, the Publisher ID is: 3393887706043A7246E426B288447F1005240798.2

    For the SampleVideoPlayer_AIR20.air version on the DVD 2.0.2, the Publisher ID is: A167FBF93528C87BBCDAC2B8CD0829479DDA6912.2

    The version number and the ID of request are specified in the PPA application.xml file. You can find this at /META-INF/AIR/application.xml or on the DVD to reference Implementation\Sample video Players\AIR\Source\src\SampleVideoPlayer_AIR20-app.xml. In this XML file, you will find the ID of the application:

    SampleVideoPlayer-AIR20

    and the version of the application:

    v1

    Because this application does not specifically have a digital version number, you will not be able to use version min and max constraints in the entrance to white list AIR for this application. However, you can still limit the AIR applications authorized by specifying either Publisher ID or the Publisher ID + application ID.

  • used to install the .air (Air apps) files

    Hello everyone.

    After you install the latest AIR runtime successfully, I downloaded an .air app and tried to execute it, without success. First of all, the file .air not was not associated with what whatsoever, so that Windows asked me what application I don't want to run with. I then tried to associate with airappinstaller.exe that lie beneath the Flash Player\Addins program, but any time I run it I get a message saying that there was a problem and that I should try to install the latest AIR runtime (which I already have).

    I'm confused, what is the problem and how should I deal with it?

    Hello

    I'm developing a Blackberry app CLDC that reproduce the video. I have a problem when trying to play video 3gp on 4.2.1.

    The VideoControl.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE can be used after 4.3 so I am using VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, but when I have my debug in default Simulator code get only a black screen and no more. No exceptions are thrown.

    This is my code in a class than extendes screen:

    MPlayer reader = null;
    try {}
    mPlayer = Manager.createPlayer (new ByteArrayInputStream (some byte []), "video/3gpp");
    mPlayer.realize ();
    mPlayer.prefetch ();
    VideoControl videoControl = (VideoControl) mPlayer.getControl ("VideoControl");

    videoControl.initDisplayMode (VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, this);
    videoControl.setVisible (true);
    mPlayer.start ();

    } catch (Exception e) {}
    System.out.println (try ());

    }

    How can they play video on 4.2.1?

    The ability to integrate video within a BlackBerry CLDC application has been added in the version of BlackBerry 4.3.0 terminal software.  It is not supported in version 4.2.1.  As a work around you can call the browser BlackBerry with a URL that points to your video file, which opens the video in Media Player.

  • How to enable hardware acceleration in an Adobe AIR application

    Hello

    As the author of this post How to enable hardware acceleration in an air exe? , I try to activate hardware acceleration inside my AIR application

    If the user has disabled hardware acceleration in the sound settings flash drive, context3d.driverInfo will say "Hw_disabled = userDisabled".

    The only way to re-enable is to open Internet Explorer or Firefox and right-click on a flash content, then check "enable hardware acceleration".

    I (we) would like to be able to reactivate directly inside the AIR application (via actionscript code) and not tell the user to open a browser and check some random boxes (cause you know that it is not very easy to use...)

  • Air applications icons

    Not sure if this is the best forum - but I was pulling my hair out over this on and off for about a year now.

    I can't get custom icons to display in the air application that I am creating with Flex Builder.

    I did the following:

    Created an active file in src

    4 icons PNG files added to this folder (tried PNG - 8 format PNG-24, with or without transparency)

    Add the following to the - app.xml

    < image16x16 > assets/pawprint16.png < / image16x16 >
    < image32x32 > assets/pawprint32.png < / image32x32 >
    < image48x48 > assets/pawprint48.png < / image48x48 >
    < image128x128 > assets/pawprint128.png < / image128x128 >

    Verrified these files end in the construction of export and that the folder is located in the bin-debug

    but these never appear when the air application is installed and run.
