  Thank you for being part of the community of Apple!

  Looks like you want to recover the hard disk space that has been used by Bootcamp.  I know how critical disk hard space is, as I understand it want to access it.

  The Boot Camp Assistant should have added space on the side of Mac OS X from the hard drive when it has been used to remove Windows.  Since that didn't happen, you need to back up the system, and then erase the hard drive, then restore the backup.

  First, back up the computer.  Your computer has software called Time Machine.  It is a fantastic software for backing up your computer.  Information on how to use Time Machine is available here:

  Once you have the backup, you must erase the drive and then restore the backup Time Machine.

  You can use these measures to erase files on your startup drive and install a fresh copy of OS X:

  1. Before you begin, make sure that your Mac is connected to the Internet.
  2. Restart your Mac. Immediately hold down the command (⌘) keys and R after having heard the startup sound to boot into OS X Recovery.
  3. When the recovery window, select disk utility, then click on continue.
  4. Select the volume name back from your startup disk in the left side of the disk utility window, then click Delete.
  5. If you want to erase the disc safely, click Security Options. Select an erasing method, and then click OK.
  6. On the Format menu, choose Mac OS extended (journaled). Type a name for your drive, and then click clear.
  7. After that the drive is deleted, close the disk utility window.
  8. If you are not connected to the Internet, select a network in the Wi-Fi menu.
  9. Select the option to reinstall OS X.
  10. Click on continue and follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall OS X.

  Once OS X installation is complete, you should have the option to restore from a backup Time Machine in the first installation of OS X.  Choose this option, and the computer will restore everything that was on it before it has been removed.  More information can be found here:

  Windows Movie Maker doesn't accept the formats of files (extensions) following:

  Video files: ".asf", ".avi", ".dvr-ms", ".m1v", ".mp2", ".mp2v", ".mpe", ".mpeg", ".mpg", ".mpv2", '.wm' and '.wmv '.

  * Extennsion file or the file format is represented by the last 3 letters of the file.

  If the file format of your home theater is not on the list above, google for a FREE video converter and a change in WMV format. Then re - import to Movie maker.

  WMV is the most reliable and foolproof format for Windows.

  You can have too many restore points, a HD that is too small or too many things installed.  What you can do, and it must be safe is to run the Disk Cleanup Wizard.  This will clean the temporary files and a lot of things

• Two things about my G10

  It's my 4th Toshiba, Toshiba is still my first choice in computers, and there are two things on the G10 that annoy me. First of all, the keyboard has a cheap feeling to it. My last Satellite Pro had such a calm, smooth, soft to the touch keyboard. The keyboard of the G10 is strong and feels like you need to press each button really hard. Too bad for this one.

  The second "design error", it is that when I plug in my external speakers, the making of glue on the side, right next to my mouse. It is also very irritating because decision-making is obviously in the way. Why Toshiba does not have these connections at the rear of the machine?

  Everything else on the G10 is better than what the competition has to offer!

  I have two laptops Toshiba (Satellite P10 and Tecra M1) and I am very satisfied with the keyboard. The keys are ok, and I have to push very gently because they respond very quickly.

• I have Windows xp, how to remove or delete a contextual area about the Windows Installer which appears unwsolicited when I open Internet Explorer

  Boxc contextual of Windows Explorer is displayed when I open Internet Explorer... it does not cancel - runs a secondary Windows Installer box.   I have to go through the process to attempt to cancel the boxes about 3 times before finally disappears and allows me to use my browser.

  1. What is the full error message you get?

  2 this only happens with Internet Explorer, or when opening other programs?

  You can try these steps and see if it helps.

  Method 1: Reregister the Installer engine.

  a. Click Start, click Run and then type cmd in the dialog box, and then click command prompt.

  b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

  MSIExec /Unregister

  MSIExec/regserver

  Method 2: Check your version of Windows Installer and upgrade to the latest version if it is needed.

  a. Click Start, type cmd in the search box or click Run then type services.msc in the dialog box and then press ENTER to open a command prompt window.

  b. at the command prompt, type MSIExec and then press ENTER. If the MSI engine works, there should be no error message, and should open a separate dialog box. This shows the MSI version.

  I'd be interested to see a report of Disk Defragmenter. Open Disk Defragmenter and click analysis. Select view report, and then click Save as and save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents folder. Open the file, and place the cursor anywhere in the file, select Edition, select all to select all the text and copy and paste into the body of your message. To do this, before you run Disk Defragmenter because it is more informative.

  Take a look in the system and Application logs in the errors and warnings event viewer and post here the copies. Do not post on more than 48 hours ago.

  You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, and Event Viewer. When searching for the meaning of the error, information about the event ID, Source and Description are important.

  A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer.   There are number of containers that can accommodate data encoded in h.264 (see comparative table in Wikipedia).

  Limitations on what can choose for a codec for certain where it can live in several, those that are imposed by the software you use.

  Check out the information on the website of NLite. With the help of NLite makes very easy "slipstreaming". AFAIK, you can integrate a copy upgrade. In all cases, the integrated installation process doesn't your underlying operating system so no worries there.

  Just a note for future recovery - you need to pick up any installation media, license keys, etc. for your extremely expensive software.
