Delete \RRbackups without Rescue & Recovery

I found that the RRbackup is almost monopolizing the hard disk space. Now that I already deleted Rescue and Recovery, is it possible to simply remove C:\RRbackups manually?

Problem solved. "Treeview" shows and deletes files.

  • Install Rescue & Recovery on Windows 7?

X61s running Win7 beta build 7000, though. Base OS = Vista Business

Last month, I have rebuilt the drive using the base image - during the rebuild, I chose not to install a Lenovo Rescue & recovery (R & R). So, I can not access the rebuild option in the start menu.

R & R facility tests the operating system running and does not install under Win7.

No idea how I might be able to access partition image on startup without R &R; or a way to install R & R and have 'ignore' the OS installed?

I was able to install by setting the Vista SP2 compatibility mode.

  • Cannot start environmental Rescue & Recovery

What should be the reason why I can't boot into the environment ThinkVantage Rescue & recovery? After setting hard drive in the BIOS and make pasword recovery defined media, I realized that I can't boot into rescue & recovery. When I push the ThinkVantage button at starup I get stright in the BIOS Setup. Can anyone help to resolve the issue?

Well, finally I solved the problem without having to reinstall the system. During the boot precess after ThinkVantage touches there is a screen with options (1) to access the bios; (2) to resume normal sturtup; (3) and something about the recovery of the system (I don't remember exactly as I have been unable to repeat the conditions. By pressing F11, I chose option (3) and R & R logo has appeared on my screen. When I started the next time after pressing ThinkVantage I directly in environmental R & R. So it seems that he has no probplems more.

  • Is there a way to recover the deleted files without using any software?

Is there a way to recover the deleted files without using any software?

Is there a way to recover the deleted files without using any software?

    # Software is necessary.

First check the recylcl tray. If she isn't here, read the following:

"Deleting" a file does not delete actually it brand just space be used. There are third-party programs that can sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and this makes the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent, if you try it again immediately after deleting it and quickly down. If you have used the computer since then (for example to read this answer and write that question), your chances may be very weak now.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop using the computer in question immediately, if you haven't done so already. Download an undelete program (in here is one: http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html but there are many other choice; do a search) on a friend's computer and bring it to you on a diskette, CD, or drive to the thumb.

If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the drive to a professional file recovery company. This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work in your case.

  • Rescue & recovery blue screen on T60 with XP and SSD

    Hello world.

On my T60 (2008-VPT) with Windows XP SP3, I have installed a (Verbatim 240 GB) SSD. I made a clone of the old HD on the new SSD and that I installed it on the T60.

Everything is fine, but when I try to do a backup with rescue & recovery 4.23, after 1 hour BLUE SCREEN opens.

With the swap file, the message was KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR, I don't put no pagefile, but another screen of blue hour, without display of previous message, but only with the 0x000000F4 error code (0 x 00000003, 0x898E9DA0, 0x898E9F14, 0x805D22AA).

    Any idea?

  • How to delete files on the recovery disk?

I'm running out of space on my recovery disk.  I noticed that the compress and the index of the boxes are both checked.
I would like to know what to do and how to delete files on the recovery drive.

    Thank you for your help.

It is very unwise to delete these files, because it is your ONLY way to recover your PC in the event of catastrophic problem with the operating system that cannot be repaired by returning your PC to set up "out of the box.  In fact, most of the PC with a recovery partition you cannot save data on that partition.  If you are still determined to do the easiest to remove these data is boot safe mode with command prompt.  Set up the focus on the recovery partition and delete everything form the command line.  I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you don't know how to do that you probably shouldn't be remove your data from the recovery Partition because without falling back on you should have to be pretty savvy to reload Vista and install all the drivers on your own.  Locutys of Borg

If your goal is to reinstall the operating system there are ways to achieve

We need to tap the F11 key immediately after presswing the laptop power button. Who will call the Recovery Manager unless you have deleted the recovery partition or have done something to the original disk partition scheme. In the Recovery Manager simply choose to recover your PC for the original operating system

Alternatively, you can order a set of HP recovery disks.

  • Satellite A25-S279: restore without a recovery CD?

What is the appropriate way to restore a computer without a recovery cd? It has a XP code in the background, and that's all I have. The laptop is: A25-S279.

    Thank you.

Well... you have certainly a Win XP OS.
If you n t have the Toshiba Recovery CD then you can order it from the ASP in your country.

In other cases you can try to reinstall the OS Win since the original CD of Microsoft. Please note that the key which is placed at the bottom of the laptop doesn t work with other versions of Windows XP and the CDs.

Therefore, buy an original CD of Win XP.

Then you can download and reinstall the XP drivers from the Toshiba page us because this laptop is designed only for the American market.

I have product keys, but as I said no disks. Can one in the cyberland point a real computer dumb in the right direction?

    Hello

Here are the options to reinstall on this particular machine which had Vista but it now has a damaged installation of Windows 7.

    Reinstall Vista

You have installed Windows 7, the Vista recovery partition can be destroyed, but try:

How ro reinstall from the Dell recovery partition:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=BSD&docid=DSN_336966

    If this does not work:

This can help you (download files and make your own DVDs):

    http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft/57-Windows-Vista-direct-download-links

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

    Dell-USA:

    https://www.Dell.com/support/Diagnostics/us/en/19/nondiagnostichome

If in another country, contact the Support Dell technique in your country.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

  • I get an error message that my memory is low, but when I go to delete files from my recovery disc it will not allow me too.

    Original title: recovery Partition

Stays of complete recovery partition may not free up any space. I get an error message that my memory is low, but when I go to delete files from my recovery disc it will not allow me too. There are 6 total folders on my drive:

Dell, Program files users tools and windows sources.

The Windows folder and the program are the most important concerts of 6-7 piece. But when I try to delete them or move only to the recycling it is bin-error right and says Destination folder access denied and I need permission for this action... Any idea would be deeply appreciated. Thank you

I apolgize if I look tense. That's the way I read your phrase... > if I try yo run an app download anything I get this error...

I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your computer. Ask to speak to a technician and explain to that person of the situation.

I'm afraid that I have no idea why your recovery partition gives you message "not enough memory" If you have never touched him.

Maybe you'd wait for people with better computer skills to help you.

    Thank you.

  • If the user accesses the server accidentally deleted the folder how recovery

If the user accesses the server accidentally deleted the folder how recovery

    Hi AmjadPasha,

If you are referring to a local file, you can check the trash.

If you are referring to a network share, then there is very little that can be done.

You can try using recovery software/services of third parties to retrieve the file.

You can use your favorite search engine to search for third-party software.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope this information is useful.
