Delete Windows 10 lost now Windows updates.

Hello, stupidly, I downloaded Windows 10, but all my files and photos were missing. I deleted windows 10 (like the button I could) and since then I can't get updates for windows 7. Help, please.

Hello

Do you have an error code when the update could not be installed?

Step 1: See the below mentioned link and check if this is useful.

Problems with installing updates

Step 2: If this is not enough, then put the computer in a clean boot state and try to install these updates.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a clean boot. A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

(a) click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start theSystem Configuration utility.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

(b) under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then click on to clear the load startup items check box. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

(c) on the Services tab, click to select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then all disable.

(d) click OK and then click on restart.

Note: make sure you put the computer to a Normal startup, once the troubleshooting completed.

I hope this helps.

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. Once the updated history list has been cleared, then it starts fresh from there.  However, you can see all the updates installed in the Add/Remove Programs list.

  • Windows Update error 80070005 - most likely caused by a Windows Update Agent 3.0 installation - how to solve?

I am running Windows 7 RTM and stupidly installed Windows Update Agent 3.0 (I forget why, it seemed a good idea at the time), but now I find that Windows Update does not work - whenever I try to check the updates, it will fail with error code 80070005

There seems to be no way to remove the Update Agent 3.0 install, despite the restoration of the system, I just found out that it was fixed at 0% of the disc, so I don't have any version of the work system to restore! :(

So, how can I resolve this situation, for example to delete Windows Update Agent 3.0 or otherwise restore the version of the Windows Update files I had before?

And why it does not work anyway? Is it installed... could there be a bug? Or it is fundamentally incompatible with Windows 7 and never should be installed in the first place? In which case can someone at MS please update agent Installer to avoid that it install on Windows 7, so that no one else suffers from the same problem?

First of all, please note that the term 'memory' is used to designate the
place where the computer contains the program and data with which it is working
for the time being. It's normally a memory (RAM), but who can
be extended with the page or swap hard disk file. The word
'memory' is never used to refer to the space on a drive (be it
It's a hard drive, floppy disk, CD, DVD or thumb drive). Space on a
hard drive is normally called "storage" or simply "disk space".

Call for 'memory' disk space is not so much wrong as we have just

important thing to realize is that the word is never used in this way.
and if you do, you do so at the risk of confusion seriously your

So I guess that you may have about disk space, not memory. Do not
remove the previous updates, since doing so put you back in the
situation before the updates, with all the problems and risks to the security
    only updates corrected.

Also note that the amount of disk space, you may save is relatively
small. And if you are short on disk space, there are various things
You can do this will save disk space.  But the amount of disk
space will be only a few cents worth. If this amount is
It would be important to you, not more than one

If your PC behaves properly, you can remove the hidden Windows hotfix backup files that start with $NTUninstallKB to the WINDOWS folder. There are two ways to do:

    A. manually, but copy files on a CD/DVD first to enable their restoration has a fix must be removed thereafter. Now delete the folder \WINDOWS, but leaves the orphan entries to add / remove programs intact. Remove only the $NTUninstallKB files that relate to corrections, not those for applications such as Word, WMP, etc.. In addition, DO NOT DELETE THE folder$ $hf_mig.

    B. my preference goes to run a script that also removes the corresponding entries in Add / Remove programs. Once they are deleted by the script, they cannot be restored. Download, extract and run this little scripthttp://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_hotfix_backup.htm creating a system restore point first just in case something goes wrong when the update of the register.

I have put in some way my windows7 desktop computer so that only updates are displayed via the Control Panel & View Update History. It started quite recently & as far as I can tell there were no problem, but if a problem any occurred, it might be useful to review the history of update. My Vista laptop displays up to date all the way back to 2009.

Online search, gave information about the deletion of the history log (without removing the updates, of course).  This is not what I want, but a couple I looked on says that the story would begin again accumulate.

I would like to restore the full history, including all recent updates log, if possible. If this is not possible, I would like to at least repeat history acummulating.

  • After that windows update computer now hangs at the login screen, no error message, just restarts.

I have tried safe mode, does the same thing; tried to use the Windows Vista disc to do a repair, no luck; also I tried restoring the system (from disk), no restore points however.
The problem appeared after restarting the computer during the night.  The problem began to be able to connect, but the screen would go blank with just a pointer (KSOD).  Has tried some of the suggestions on this problem, including by eliminating sys newspapers, which did not work as well as reinstalling the video driver, with no luck.  Finally tried a system restore, returned 1 week (before the windows updates).  Now, the computer becomes just the login screen sits there for about 5-10 seconds then restarts immediately.

I just had this happen to my laptop that has no external references. This is a new (September 09) ASUS K50ij with Vista 64-bit installed. I bought the Win 7 OS to replace, but have been waiting for the time to play with it... Last Monday, the update itself and invited to restart so I have done what I was busy with and enabled him to restart which is the only thing to do now... restart, the blue screen for a nano-second, then restart... etc. Same problem with safe mode and safe mode with networking, or with the box... anyway, someone very smart recommended that I use another computer (Fortunately, I have several) to download free Imgburn (which works easily), then get Ubuntu (Linux Operating System free download) burn image from the Ubuntu disc, put the disc in the drive of the computer crashed (there is a little hole next to the button you) can insert in a safety pin to release the door when the power is off) change the setting in the BIOS of the computer has crashed by restarting and pressing F2 until you get the menu BIOS... go to the start menu and choose Start from the CD, and then press ENTER. When the computer starts, it will see the drive and go to a menu to select the language, then next choice is "try Ubuntu without making any changes to the computer. It will boot the disk and allow you to view and copy ALL your files off the power on an external drive, which is what I did... including my Outlook .pst files that include all my saved emails my calendar and contacts, etc! WOOHOO! has got all my photos, documents, etc. The only thing that I didn't know how to get is my favorite... How to enter in the browser from another computer.

If after this, an hour or more than make sure I got all the important data... I decided to see if anyone had a solution to this problem just fixing... I probably won't update again because Microsoft sends them and offers no solutions to the problems they have caused and nobody pays me for all the time I've lost get to get my stuff back and also to solve the problem they have caused. A update on my other laptop Win 7 zapped my outlook program and even reinstall it didn't solve this problem, even more work to do there, but looking in the files using Ubuntu's File Explorer, I found a hidden file that is used to repair the files .pst outlook called scanpst, or something that nearby.

In any case, if someone has a solution to uninstall the recent update or to determine how it corrupted my user profile (which is the general consensus) please let me know.
Thank you and good luck to you!

If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

    Hi Craig,.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.

I'm sorry to know that you are facing problems after installing Windows updates.

Any Windows specific update which is the origin of the problem or you face the problem after installing updates? This is to check if the updates you receive are associated with hard devices.

To view your history of update, follow these steps:
    a. open Windows Update by sliding into the right edge of the screen (or, if you are using a mouse, pointing to the corner bottom right of the screen, move the mouse upward), tapping or clicking on settings, tapping or clicking change PC settingsand then by typing or clicking on update and recovery.

    b. press or click view update history.

I wish that you install the Dell Web site touchpad drivers.

You can refer to this article for the procedure: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=1JW07

In addition, if all of the updates are at the origin of the problems with the hardware on the PC, then I suggest you also update the drivers from the Dell Web site chipset.
    See the article:

    Download and update drivers
