  I'm trying to uninstall Windows Home Server. I have already uninstall the connector and software, however, I just noticed a 20 GB on my laptop partition (drive D called "RECOVERY".) It contains a folder named "Windows Home Server drivers for restoring" and a readme.txt file. How can I delete the partition?

  If the new 'free space' is at the end of the "C:" partition, use:

  Directory of C:\Windows\System32

  I just formatted my computer hp laptop and rendering account I have no way to reinstall HP MediaSmart.

  It is not on my laptop... of course, since I formatted and deleted all my programs.

  It was a really useful set of programs for me.

  To get to the Visual screen and the associated sounds that are displayed and heard when the volume control, you will need to install before MediaSmart Menu at least a MediaSmart package program. The best choice will be in my opinion:

  MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64-bit Win7)

  Now, you download and install:

  MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)

  It's not metter in what order you install the rest of the programs:

  You have a problem with color silent due to wrong audio driver.

  Disconnect from the Internet.

But to the contrary after leaving the dock and release the mouse button, it disappeared. How do I trouble the white icon and pick up the other icon in the dock? I pulled the HP Mediasmart icon directory .exe file and it is stuck in the dock, but it works the same. The original had an arrow below and if I clicked it, a drop-down list with all tasks would come down. With that I pulled from the directory that I have to click on it and then a new bar appears with different icons for each task.

  Well I solved the problem with the taskbar, I downloaded the hp mediasmart smartmenu, went into the directory and PIN to the taskbar. But I still can't one of the docking station will work as before.

  Hi and thanks again for the rear display.  If you can do it is no longer a restoration following options is a complete recovery of the system, return to the original configuration.  You want to back up all your information before you do.  Once it starts it will wipe your system clean.

• I lose photos if I reinstall the hp mediasmart software

  I can't change my photos using hp mediasmart photo.  It has stopped working properly on my desktop HP Pavilion P6000 series.  I'm afraid I'll lose my photos if I uninstall and reinstall the program.  I'm going?  Also, is there anything else I can try to repair this other program that put it back.  When I click on 'edit this media', it will sometimes tell me it is busy and sometimes screen comes on and dark until the stay and I have to control alt delete.

  You won't lose a photo etc. If you reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the only images software index stored elsewhere on your PC, for example in your folder "Images".  You can always save all folders containing the photos if you wish.

  There is no repair available option, but reinstall the software should fix the problems - the first time you open HP MediaSmart Photo after reinstalling, it may take a few minutes to index all your images again.

  It works for the HDX series as well as the dv8 as they are the same machines when it comes to the window hot key at the top of the key board. I'm running a retail version of W7 on my dv8 and that's what I did to get the buttons works. It should work with a version of HP of W7.

  Stop first uninstall the Quick Launch button software, it is not necessary on the dv8 or the HDX for that matter. HP is installed on most of the machines as a utility cover, but it is not necessary here. After you uninstall it, restart your machine. It's just a heavy program that runs in the background that takes resources.

  Next go to "Computer" click on this > "C" drive > Program Files > Hewlett-Packard > HP Media Smart.

  This assumes that you are running a 64-bit version, I'm sure that all of the dv8 were 64-bit.

  Note that the HP Media Smart file, i.e. when the Menu is one that operates the Media Smart quick launch button that stopped working on your machine.

  Uninstall everything and any Smart Menu Smart Media go program and has and restart. Then go back and find the file HP Media Smart from above, it should be gone. If this isn't the case, right click on it to remove it and restart.

  Also at this point, the file must be empty if it is not, please take a screenshot of what is there. Do not delete the file if it is not empty. I need to see what there is everything first, but in most cases after that uninstall in the Menu it is empty.

  Go to this link and follow it's weird instructions to the letter. It does not matter what os versions Media Smart applications that you have, but you need at least one to get the menu to work. I have Media Smart DVD and MS Web Cam.

I watched DVDs using the HP MediaSmart DVD player with no complications until about 2 weeks ago, when it just stopped recognizing discs in the drive (I have tried many, it is not the DVD). I'm still able to play DVDs through Windows Media Player, is not a problem with the driver (if I'm wrong, what I've read). I have been scrolling of pages not useful instructions or complicated about how people are trying to solve this problem, without success, that seems. While I'm usually pretty good at my way through problems using convenience stores etc. of detachment, this one has left sufficeintly mouth gaping.   If you have recently installed a Comodo or that you have already installed, after the return.

  After installation, run revo, right-click on mediasmart dvd and choose uninstall.  During the process, you will be asked to remove the registry entries, it just select all and click on delete. Do the same thing to the left on files and folders, when asked.  When you're done, restart your computer.

  Download the latest version of the mediasmart dvd for your model of the HP Web site (you will need to enter your exact model, for example, dv6-2112ea, chose the software and downloads, select your operating system, then go to the media section) and run the installer.

• No mode of the Tablet CTRL + ALT + DELETE key or Windows security?

  I just bought a laptop / Tablet HP TX2-1020US that came with Vista Home Premium.  Good so far.  I upgraded to OS to Vista Ultimate and my original SBS2008 domain-joined and worked on a large too.

  The problem is: when I'm in tablet mode, no button is "Windows Security" referred to in the prompt "press CTRL + ALT + DELETE or Windows security" in the starting System.  I end up having to convert portable mode, press CAD and convert again in tablet mode and use the biometric login each time.  Same thing to unlock the machine after an invocation of the screensaver, etc..

  HP support says they don't support "as sold" configuration, even if I am invited for an upgrade as it sets up for the first time, I am on my own if I do.  Not a very "the computer's personal again' approach to customer service... ;-)

  I thought I could reassign a touch on the surface of the Tablet--maybe the button "Mediasmart" I wouldn't need otherwise.  But the upgrade apparently took a toll on that too since the dialog box control Tablet PC Panel, in the general and the tabs button, I decidedly enigmatic after the upgrade and the tablet button ID is displayed as @BttnCmn.DLL,-2, -9, -7, etc. (for example the change in screen orientation button is @BttnCmn.DLL,-9).

  I would appreciate a solution that is running boards - the need to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and brings me directly to where a slip of the finger is a login, or a reallocation of button so I could tap without having to disable-tablet-mode each time.

  1. Administrative Tools | Local security policy
  2. (Elevation of privilege)
  3. Local policies | Security options
  4. Interactive logon to change: don't require CTRL + ALT + DELETE to "Undefined" to "Enabled".
  5. Close local security policy tool.

  CTRL + ALT + DELETE screen is bypassed, and the login screen is used instead (for which the fingerprint reader works fine).

  Hi, I have macos Sierra and I deleted many files to my main drive and also to my external hard drive (both to the Mac OS Extended format) in preparation for the boot camp. I also emptied the Recycle Bin, although there is much less space on the two disks that it should be and the majority of the space is obviously indicated under "purgeable". I thought it would not be a problem, because I assumed that the space would be released, if I move all of the files there and if I need for the new Windows partition. However, this assumption was false. I can't simply use storage that I released. I can't move there all the files and I can't create the partition from free space. What can I do with it?   You must use the Bootcamp Assistant to create the Bootcamp partition.

  Please provide details on the total space and free space on your internal drive. Post screenshots of what you see in system-> storage information. In addition, select the drive in Finder-I press control and post a screenshot of the window read the information.

  Yes, it is safe to delete the sparsebundle in the old media from backup after you remove as the backup location and create your 1st upward on the new location. Since your iMac is now pointing to the new backup media, they are more associated in the former. If you have no other Mac backup on old media, you can simply reformat.
