  You can not get rid of the archive mailbox. It is part of mailboxes mailbox main application and indicates if you have archived messages.

  Check-in is basically same as you create it a mailbox on your own and recording of the messages. Depending on the type of account, it can be archived as local on the computer or on a server if it is an IMAP account.

  Since you said that you have not used the feature to archive, and then I will guess that you use Gmail. All the e-mail in gmail folder appears under the archive mailbox in Mail. If you click on the archive mailbox, it should show that the Gmail account. You can disable by hiding the folder Mail on Gmail webmail site. You must go into the settings it under labels, then uncheck the show in IMAP.

  It is very unwise to delete these files, because it is your ONLY way to recover your PC in the event of catastrophic problem with the operating system that cannot be repaired by returning your PC to set up "out of the box.  In fact, most of the PC with a recovery partition you cannot save data on that partition.  If you are still determined to do the easiest to remove these data is boot safe mode with command prompt.  Set up the focus on the recovery partition and delete everything form the command line.  I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you don't know how to do that you probably shouldn't be remove your data from the recovery Partition because without falling back on you should have to be pretty savvy to reload Vista and install all the drivers on your own.  Locutys of Borg

  I'm having a minor problem with my antivirus that says it was deleted 3 cookies but if I run the scan again, it always comes with the same 3 cookes and then solved said.  A Norton tech support person deleted temporary files and wants to delete everything in the windows prefetch folder. I did not allow that to happen unless I get confirmation of this forum that I do not have anything at risk by doing this? Thank you.

  Two points:

  1. you can simply be to cookies again by going to a
  particular web site.

  2. using Norton anti-virus? In my opinion and that of many of
  others of us here, it's the worst available security software. I have
  strongly recommend that you replace it with something better.

  For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
  to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one of the
  three of the following:
   
  Avira
  Avast
  Microsoft Security Essentials
   
  You also need anti-spyware software. I recommend that you download and
  (both freeware) to install MalwareBytes AntiMalware and
  SuperAntiSpyware.

  If you touch CTRL-A you will highlight all characters in the message.  If you then press any character, it will replace what is highlighted by this character.  It is a plausible explanation for what you are experiencing.  Be careful if you type a capital A and use the SHIFT key CTRL pressed.

  I understand your Yahoo IMAP email trash stored on the server is deleted, even though the e-mail settings say not.

  Looks like that trash is perhaps not a good place to store mail that you want to keep.

I guess that there are around 20 or more places where I deleted files or directories.
