deliver Windows 7 administrative permissions

I have about 300 users and a handful of them have a permissions problem. Essentially what is happening, is that they have the right to exceed a guest of administration but are not allowed to change anything after that. When I right click and run as administrator, that I can't put in my info because it takes them, but they are not admins so that they can not make changes. If I log in the admin profile I can make changes if necessary.

Any ideas?

    Hello

Are you facing this problem on the specific file or all the files on your computer?

I suggest manually apply permissions to a file or folder before you face, follow the steps below. Manually apply permissions, it's something that only advanced users should do because you could end up with unexpected results.

    (a) click on file or folderand then click on Properties.
    (b) click on the Security tab, and then click Edit.
    (c) to set permissions for a user who is not listed under group or user names, click Add, type everyone in the name of the user or group, click OK, select the permissions, and then click OK.

If you can open a command prompt (see: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Command-Prompt-frequently-asked-questions ), you may be able to use the Takeown command and icalcs to set the permissions to the usable values.

You may need to compare the permissions on a system that works. The Sysinternals AccessChk and AccessEnum utilities can be useful.

If you run the installation files, you can try using administrator privileges and check if that helps:

  • Windows XP administrator account disabled

My XP Pro windows local administrator account is disabled and the password is changed every time that I reboot.

Work around currently I am using is connecting to another admin account on the same machine and activate the real administrator account and reset the password each time.  It's summer happening since I installed the latest Automatic updates of Windows last week.
    Help, please.

Well, this account is damaged in any way.

What is the standard admin or a user account with the privilege of admin account?

in all cases, the alternative I would use is to create a new account and give him Admin priviledge.

Then reboot and let windows configure the new admin account.

Then, right-click on the Start button and click Explore.

This will take you to the section where the user accounts.

Then explore the old / dysfunctional account and copy its contents into the new user account that you just created.

I would not copy the files.

Simply copy the files and shortcuts, and links from the old to the new.

It can be tedious to do the above, but its 'probably the best way to back up your data.

either way, current account, you use this time for this analysis should not be changed at this time.   That's why I suggest to create a new brand and rebuild using the data from the old account.

the foregoing is a measure of security, just in case that the new admin account is damaged as the former.  If Yes, then you have to use again as a stable connection.

    Try this:
1 log in under an administrator account.
    2 disable UAC *.
    3 edit the file.
    4 turn on UAC.

AFAIR you could also change with an admin account when starting mode safe.

  • Windows system administrator

I upgraded to Windows 10 then downgraded to 7 and started to have problems.   A Microsoft telephone tech Support walked me through a release and renew and reset my IP, I installed the Quickbooks 2015 program and now QB gives me an error message that I don't have permission to the folder of the Windows system administrator access.   Also my files that I had in OS/lecteurC are missing, I have to go to my Drive (backup) external to access My Documents. How can I solve this problem and access my files.

How do you "downgrade" to Windows 7?  Your files need to stay unless you have properly reinstalled Windows 7 or changed your username, or perhaps your profile folder has become corrupted when you downgraded and Windows creates a new profile for you.  Search for your old files in C:\Users, they should NOT be the Administrator folder in your profile folder.

If your old files are actually gone, then you will need to copy the backup to their location in your profile folder.  Have you tried to run Quickbooks with administrator privileges to see if it works correctly?

  • Windows 7 Administration group names of users or all delete them (users, SYSTEM, ect, batch)

Hey all who read this, first time I've used this site before, please excuse any errors or all what I do = S

Right, that's my problem, I'm pretty good with computers, my knowledge is limited, however, I recently had a laptop to use at the University, this computer laptop is a HP g6000 and has windows 7 loaded on board but did not have Vista originally.

I started the machine and the former owner somehow deleted all Windows 7 Administration group or usernames (user, SYSTEM, ect, lot) and to this effect, I can't do anything! Access is denied on the C drive, any changes to files, restore, even delete a word document do appear a mistake, ive tried safe mode, activating the hidden via Cmd prompt administrator and create a new user with administration, still does not work, seems to me that Windows 7 is not even who is allowed to do what more and won't let me do anything , I really would appreciate any help I really need it to do my studies in College, I have not had any dics or anything with the laptop computer, and just to make things a lot bigger, the Cd drive only opens when you first start when windows is loaded its does not appear under "My computer" and ceases to exist...

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much

Just to add, when I go to computer > C drive > properties > security, it displays a message saying that I'm not allowed to see/touch anything, person = P, if that's any help.

Yes, sorry, I had to do was...

My computer > right click on the C drive > properties > Security tab > click on Advanced > go to the tab "Owner" > click Edit > tick the box at the bottom that says "Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects" > highlight your current user account in the "change Onwer to: ' box > then click on apply!

This will grant the selected user full access and control of the administrator, may take several minutes to change.
