Dell 1250c sleep problem

Hello

I have a problem with my printer which I can't print to it once he went on the eve (light yellow).

To print I need to turn off the printer, then press. Can I do to solve this problem? Power management settings have only 1-6 for a deep sleep and 5-60 for sleep.

Thank you.

I downloaded and installed an update of the Firmware of Dell.com that corrects this problem.

The printer now wake up itself as needed - even from my Mac - after installing the update.

    Hi Jürgen

I don t think that Microsoft would be able to help you usually the laptop manufacturers are responsible for own products

If you have any problems regarding the features of the laptop, you will need to contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your additional countries, you can call the hotline of Toshiba.

You can also ask the here community of users for some advice, assistance, etc.

This Z830-11J is certainly win 8 supported as you can see here the model number in the Win 8 compatibility matrix: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/checkWindows8Compatible.do?service=EU

  • HP Spectre13-3010dx sleep problems, Shutdown

    Hello

I recently bought this ultrabook and I noticed that the sleep and stop functions do not work as expected. Restart works very well.

    Description of the problem

    • When you try to put the computer to sleep, the screen goes black, but the system stays on (lights on the keyboard, the fan spins again). I'm unable to recover from this State unless I make a difficult stop (hold down the power button / stop) or wait 5 minutes, how the computer off simply. This kind of... defeated the purpose of "sleep". Haha.
    • Same thing happens when I stop the laptop - screen turns off, turns on and the fan turned on and unless I turned off by force, laptop remains in a vegetative state for five minutes and then shuts down its own.
    • In both cases, I am unable to recover from the black screen. No response from the computer, regardless of the key combination (Ctrl + Alt + Delete, etc.)

I dug around here the support forums and noticed other people had issues similar, but on different computer models (i.e., Pavilion, dv6, etc.), so I tried to take these specific solutions to solve my problem, but there has been no result.

Steps taken to solve the attempt

    • The laptop came with the version of BIOS Insyde F.09, so I updated the version of BIOS to F.13. Does not solve the problem
    • I went into the BIOS and reset all default settings. Still has not solved the problem.
    • I found another thread that the user had the same problem as me, but on a different model specifications. I tried to use their solution to roll back BIOS. However, it has not yet solve the problem.

  • Edge 13 sleep problem win7 (intel)

    Hello

I think I have a sleep problem with my edge. If I close the lid, I can still hear the hard drive by clicking on current time to time and CPU fan. I checked all the power settings and it should go to sleep and nothing should stop going to sleep. Case may be where the cover he never sleeps, but if I choose sleep from the start menu, it will sleep. And I checked all the places it should go sleep by closing the lid.

Thing worries me a bit, it is that if I run in prompt command "powercfg - a" he reports this computer only supports the S3 (hybrid sleep) and S1 and S2 modes are not supported.

    Mystery solved:

    HW problem!

A magnet located in the lower right corner of the cover of the computer, under the screen rectangle shaped box is too low!

I tried one of my magnets "fridge" on the top of my power button and computer went to sleep state and _stayed_ in mode standby.

    * Sigh * I wonder what I should do to fix this problem? Magnetic tape to improve the weak magnet on my computer?

  • Error ' ' system timer was triggered "and hibernation / sleep problem.

Original title: Hibernation and sleep problem?

I bought a new laptop of Toshiba C55 series probably a little a month ago and for a while, it was fine, I had no problem. I had some mistakes with what is called a bad pool header, I've not experienced this once again. My main problem is with the sleep and hibernation. I went and disabled any parameter that would be extended automatically to my computer after a short period of time. It is set at only hibernate after like five hours, I'm never away from him that long. I don't want it to hibernate unless I put it specifically put into hibernation. I heard talking about hibernation is hard on your computer. I am usually only away from him for a couple of hours, so it's easier to have it in sleep so I can come back and get the right to return to work or what I was doing. I put it in mode 'sleep' whenever I need to go away for a few hours, for some time, I had no problem, he would go to the mode standby and stay there until I woke it. My problem is that most of the time when I put it in fashion watches, it goes to the hibernate after only a few minutes. WHY would he do that? And how can I stop it? There are times that I put him to sleep and he done as it should. Most of the time, but it goes to the hibernate after a few minutes. I don't want to make this period. Is there a setting I'm missing, I have conflicting settings on something? What is a small problem with Windows 8, or with my computer itself? The last thing I want to do is to restore it to factory settings and lost all the things that I have saved and have to reinstall my programs again.

There is also something else showing in my event viewer I've ever seen before. That means when he says "system timer was triggered." And can someone tell me what means the bad pool header error and how to fix it?

I found a solution, I noticed when I Hibernate the computer at night to go to bed is when it remains not in mode 'sleep'. I stopped it in hibernation at all now and it says in the mode "sleep" very well.

  • Dell U2715H as second monitor sleep problem

I just bought a Dell U2715H monitor to connect to my iMac 27 "mid-2010.

Implementation, the system works beautifully. Plug n play, as we are accustomed to the Apple universe.

But after an automatic start, this morning, the Dell remained black, what I tried.

A phone call with the helpdesk Dell did not bring a solution; they are willing to trade for a new monitor, but I think not (just a feeling) which will tackle the problem.

After having a cup of coffee, I came back to my Mac, who had fallen asleep in the meantime.

Pressing a button all of life, including (surprise) the Dell monitor system.

After a few experiences, I discovered that after a reboot, the Dell remains black.

Put the system to sleep (using a hot corner) and pressing a key is not wake up the Dell.

Bringing the system to sleep and pressing a button after waiting 10-20 seconds, puts the entire system, including the Dell monitor.

The monitor is connected to a mid 2010 iMac 27 "2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, with a miniDP to DP cable.

Although I found this 'solution' after hours of frustrating attempts, it feels a bit inadequate.

Anyone who is familiar with this problem who found a more definitive solution?

  • Dell Inspiron 15r 5537-sleep problem/change

    Hello

Everytime I wake up my laptop from sleep by opening the lid and then pressing the power button it sometimes restart itself on the lock screen display. I want to got to solve this problem.  I have Windows 8.1.

I solved my problem of reactivation of the laptop! REFERENCE DELL 5737 17R

I'll try to explain what happened.

After the upgrade to Win8.1, update windows try to update Inter HD graphic card driver preinstalled on dell systems. This video driver is * ESSENTIAL * for suspend/Hibernate/LidClose mode to work correctly.

It's the signature of the update Win8.1 suggests to apply:

    [x] - Intel Corporation - graphics adapter - WDDM1.1, WDDM1.2, WDDM1.3 graphics card graphics card - Intel(r) HD Graphics Family

DO NOT APPLY THIS UPDATE! *

If you do, this will conflict with the graphics card from AMD and the result of the unpleasant problems, including:

    * Cannot restore black screen if you close lid and then reopening
    * Failed to properly put into hibernation
    * Cannot restore cut LCD monitor for powersave

IF you see the DELL support site, you may notice that the LAST available Intel HD video is OLDER than the liveupdate installed (from microsoft).

    Solution:

    1. remove/uninstall all the animals AMD
    2 reset
    3. remove the driver Intel HD Video and reinstall the driver older DELL site
    4 reboot (unplug the network/lan... * IMPORTANT *)
    5 disable automatic LiveUpdate
    6. replace the network/LAN
"" 7 locate the available update package, hide "xxxx WDDM1.1 graphics card.

You want now, as a final, to say NO, NO reboot, THANKS to Intel video driver LiveUpdate.

You now have a dell with prolonged sleep/standby mode of work.
When I close the lid only to reopen it, finally the LCD back on.
Don't let liveupdate reinstall this update of villain.

Of course, the AMD accelerated graphics card won't work, because all the AMD drivers are now gone.
I don't really like for now, I'll try to reinstall AMD/catalyst * ONLY * when a newer version from the DELL support site. They are stuck to the pilots in 2013, they are old enough, and I fear that they may cause other problems with Win8.1 too.

Please Dell, give us a better experience, let's not lose all the time trying to correct your buggy drivers!

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Latitude E6220/E6230/6530 Windows 8.1 sleep problem

    Hello world

Then build a SOE for Windows 8.1 I came across a problem with the Latitude 6220, 6230 & 6530 where after putting the computer to sleep then wake the computer up it would lock-up on the login screen.

After many hours of testing, I discovered that the problem was the driver for the SD O2 card reader. If you use the driver for the SD card reader, it works fine.

    I hope this helps someone.

After weeks of (16 hours) looking for a solution, I also discovered this. We will have the issue on the Dell Latitude E6510, E6520 and E6530 machines running Windows 7 64 bit.

My difficulty was also simple to download or install the drivers for the memory card reader for each respective system on Dell support site.

  • Sleep problem graphics amplifier AW 17 R2 (2015)

    AW 17 R2 (2015) - Windows 8.1

    (3) to change power options the "stop settings are all available."

    (4) power sleep menu a

    When the amplifier IS plugged

    (1) portable computer does not sleep

    (2) power options to change the behavior of the power buttons and lid are NOT available to address

    (3) to change power options the "stop settings are NOT all available." (only the lock)

    (4) power menu didn't sleep

    (5) in the command center AW options for cover buttons and power exist.  However only the options of 'Stop' and 'Do nothing' work.

I have the latest graphics drivers amplifier.

I have the last command center of AW.

The amplifier is loaded with a GB of Titan X 12 GTX - I tried the last divers NVIDIA as well as those on the DELL site.

I also tried the NVIDIA drivers desktop and laptop NVIDIA drivers.  I read some posts where drivers for laptop computer should always be used, but playing Devils lawyer I've tried both.

There is no problems with the graphics performance.  The only problem is the laptop can not sleep, nor so all options work for configure to sleep.

    Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

This IS intentional behavior.  I agree that it is a huge usability problem and I wish I had known that the sleep and Hibernate would be disabled before buying my GA like my setup with its power supply 980ti and nVidia 750w improved waste as much electricity when I have to walk away and end up leaving the thing running for hours , but the truth is she IS the behavior expected - I have my theories as to why, but the fact that it is a voluntary limitation was confirmed by Dell.  Perhaps the reasoning in the spirit of the engineers comes from what would happen if, for example, the laptop someone entered mode of hibernation when you are connected to the AG.  It seems to me be off for all practical purposes, so that the user can easily be supposed to think they can come and disconnect the cables from GA and throw their laptop in a case and take off with him.  Then when they try to feed him without the GA attached to the top, it would almost certainly be BSOD right from the start and then Dell would have to deal with people calling to complain that their laptops are not stable, and the general image of any of the Alienware series if hit people started hearing through the grapes that these new laptops BSOD a lot... so rather than trust for be smart enough to understand the functioning of our machines, they just disabled all features of sleep when the gas are attached.  That's my theory.  If I'm right there should be a way to force it to sleep, and we just keep in mind not to disconnect our gas without first wake up the machine to make a complete stop.

  • Several X201T problems solved - sleep problems, lock issues, multiple monitors / dock issues

    Hi, guys.

Immediately after obtaining my Tablet last summer, I installed Win 7 Enterprise, our company holds a license for a microsoft SA customer.  Win 7 Enterprise has all the features of Ultimate edition, including Bitlocker, I needed.  I even restored the machine using discs I got from our Lenovo account manager and had the same problems as the image of the company.  My Tablet has the touch screen feature.

I had the following problems with the Tablet, which are now resolved:

    Trackpad spoil randomly

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-Tablet-ThinkPad-Laptops/X201T-trackpad-issues-randomly-tries-to...

The tablet on the first day, there's a new trackpad.  The party has had more than 4 weeks to arrive, but it fixed the problem once it was replaced.  I tried 1 billion software solutions (different drivers, settings, etc...) and blew a lot of time, so if you have this problem, get your replaced trackpad.

External monitor did not work with docking station

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-Tablet-ThinkPad-Laptops/X201T-multi-monitor-issue-with-ultrabas...

The solution was to use an adapter displayport to DVI to my Dell 24 "monitor.  The Displayport takes a long time to synchronize with the monitor that he thinks it isn't getting a signal, and the laptop turns off the display shortly after having tried to activate it.  In this case most of the time.  With the help of an adapter DVI worked very well.  I found myself propping my tablet in portrait mode with a cheap portable stand in a big box office supply store so I can have the OneNote upward on the tablet screen throughout the day.

The final two problems have been solved with the application of a patch of Windows:

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-Tablet-ThinkPad-Laptops/X201T-tablet-can-t-lock-the-computer-or...

It was awful.  As I sometimes ran programs in respect of the whole of the high network privileges and have a sensitive Inbox, it meant that I had to basically hold the power to stop the machine when I go to the toilet.

    Why no system update?

Lenovo - the fact that this fix does not appear as an update required in Lenovo System Update caused me a lot of grief.  If you have a technical reason why it was available on the site, I would like to hear about it.  The case, please make your tablet customers a favor and put this in the system update.  There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the fix has solved all of my most serious problems, despite a description of Microsoft that doesn't seem to match the symptoms.

I'm a happy guy now that all my stuff works.  A bad computer can really make your life difficult.

    @deathbots,

Thanks for sharing the steps you have taken to solve the problem, I will drop a comment to the TVSU on this topic to see if it is possible to implement this go ahead.
