daveret,

Since you have Windows 8, you should be fine. The touch screen does not come into conflict with your keyboard and mouse present. Read the Guide E2014T before purchase.

    Hello

I read this on the web page of the touch monitor Dell E2014T:

"Turn your smartphone and tablet devices in brightness HD while at the same time accusing through MHL portI have when you view the contents of your smartphone/Tablet directly on the touch screen of E2014T." (www.dell.com/.../858-bbbe)

I understand that by using an appropriate adapter MHL, the smartphone screen is mirrored on the monitor. But I'll be able to control my smartphone from the touch screen of the monitor? Send monitor key commands support to my smartphone via MHL? I have Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ali Imran

Dell touch screen is controlled via the cable upstream USB to computer USB. Then through the system of operation of computers for the contact.

So no, a device connected to the port monitor MHL cannot control the touch monitor, or vice versa.

  • Drivers from Device Manager

    Hello

I'm a new being in the mists of the clean installation of windows xp home edition for professionals.  I have a used computer that I think is as old as 12 years without a manufacturer.  Although Microsoft stopped supporting xp I know a website where I can find drivers for this computer date so if ongoing enforcement.

I'm looking at for the installed drivers Device Manager.  Comparing them to the xp driver supported Web site.  Pilots can go back as far as Windows 2000 or 2002.  My question is.   I get the correct information from the Device Manager.   The computer is too old to 12 years going back to the era of Windows 2000 or 2002.

Regarding any reply received.  I can answer this question to the other driver related queries about specific drivers for this computer.    Thank you Kenny.

OK, I had of the probvlems with the touch screen in this unit for as long as I got.    The topuch function is much more useful in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 that he wes in Viwta or 7.

ATER much effort, with the help of this map and other spots on the internet, I was able to run Windows 7, 64 bit.  I then upgrded to prview 10 and it worked for 2 boots.  Nextwindow and HID touch screen drivers were insetalled when you use the "peripheral hidden Show" in Device Manager.  but on t 3rd he restarted, wnet touch away.  Readers still presented, but showed the errors 'Code 45' indicating that the touch screen is not connected.  I think that Windows has automatically updated the video driver GEForce Nvidia, but am not sure it makes a differenc.

Any ideas?  I'm not really interested a response from recipe book, as those who have not helped so far.  WEhy would be re-startup disable the touch screen?

OK, I fixed that with a bit of luck.   HP provided that Cookbook that meets never worked.  Googling the question, I have cam through a discussion on a Dell Board with same problem on a Dell AIO touchscreen.  Apprently the Windows 8.1 upgrade causes Windows stop the power of the touch screen and stopping.  Thus, drivers become hidden in Device Manager and display errors 'Code 45.    The school?  Disable the ability of Windows to turn off all USB devices.

As noted, I went to the Device Manager and clicked on the hidden Interface devices.  I then used the 'view' comand to show he's hidden connected d.  Then, by clicking on each Devcew entry USB, I called properties, then on management of Powe.  I then unchecked the box to Windows to tun off the unit.   I then rebooted and alto, Touch was back.

  • Copy the retail of Windows 8

I had bought Windows 8 pri when it was first released.  I installed it on a convertible netbook from dell duo touchscreen. I sold the netbook restore factory settings, which has windows 7.  I do have Windows 8 and have not reinstalled it on any computer and want to sell it, can I?

    Hello

You can sell a retail license, as long as is not installed anywhere else.

But you must tell the buyer that they might have to phone activation, due to the fact that you had installed on another machine, which can generate activation errors...

If you don't tell them that you installed before the formatting of the old machine and sell it, they don't know what to say Microsoft if the activation fails, and can then contact you for assistance.

    See you soon.

I think Microsoft did an excellent job so far with windows 8.1 but I still want the ability to display the taskbar using the metro.  I like the way metro better even on my dell not touchscreen workstation.  I still want to see the taskbar as a visible characteristic permanently while mode metro however.  is there a way to do this?

Not permanently.  Simply not a function integrated in the code.  If you mouse to the bottom of the screen, you can see the taskbar appears.  Or if you have a Tablet, slide out between the left edge of the screen for the modern switch too.

I found a solution that worked for me.

Find a Solution for Me dealing with video drivers from DisplayLink USB 3.0

Only, I got this error after the purchase of a Dell S2340T touchscreen monitor, which comes with the DisplayLink drivers for video operation single USB 3.0 cable.

I didn't know it was bound and has worked with the support Microsoft in several calls to Xbox Live and the Support of the MS technology product, but finally discovered DisplayLink forum that many users have been seen this problem and get the error 0xc00d11d1 in Video App in Windows 8 when you try to view rented videos.    From 03/06/2013 they do not have a fix taken care for the question (something is related to pixels display problems in the video application itself).   The latest version of these drivers are 7.1 M1 02/01/2013 that still contains the bug causing problems with video App (content, protected by example. rented video playback).

Note DisplayLink drivers are not specific to the Dell S2340T, but used in many single USB3.0 video cable adapters.

    Solution / work around:

Move to a solution of 2 cables for example. HMDI + USB and uninstall all programs displaylink software.  Restart the PC.   I changed the screen in HDMI and green Mode to avoid this automatic forcing install drivers when the display is detected by Windows 8.

Problem solved! I'll monitor the DisplayLink driver updates in the coming months and see if a fix out for it.

    I'm a fool.

I finally realized what is my problem. I have need of the graphics software and core Displaylink.

    I'm not using multiple monitors.

I am running Windows 8 Pro on a nice with a touchscreen of Dell S2340T desktop.

The tactile feature works without the Displaylink software. That's what I didn't know until now.

The Displaylink auto installs when you connect the monitor.

In the last two months I've dealt with Displaylink and Intel driver updates when all I had to uninstall the Displaylink software.

Once I did that, then turned off all processes and services Displaylink, my Win 8 machine works great.

Netflix, Hulu Plus, NBC News app, metro video and music app, photo app and maps... any great running.

No screen flashing, no blue screen...

Wow. And I was about to buy a new 8500 XPS to try to solve this problem.

Please don't call you a fool! It is a confusing area even for an expert.

I'm sure that if you run the S2340T in "Green Mode" (available in the menus) you will not be caused to load our software, but you will also lose out on wired ethernet features - if you have a desktop computer I don't know you have good mother ethernet and you card will not be worried about it.

Once we' worked ved which end of the wire has the bug (and fixed), then you can return to a functioning single, although at that time there, you get concerned about multiple ethernet connections...

All I can help you in your minority situation is two solution drip, wire and occasionally try again and see if it's been fixed (or visit these forums). I think that the S2340T really shines in a multiuse scenario. It's always great as tactile/camera solution for single use, but if you're wired always upward, two sons of data compared to one is not a huge deal.

Just to give, we demonstrated the S2340T many clients on Intel platforms, and problems are usually very soluble.

  • Dell Inspiron 3147 11.6 "- touchscreen"in part"does not work after the pilot light"

Every time when the laptop goes to sleep mode in itself and I put on, the touch screen will be in part does not, to be more precise, is the upper part of the screen. The problem is that on the screen, mouse and touchpad work correctly. Now I can solve the problem by pressing the power button to let him sleep and a second time to activate it, but I don't want to do it every day.

Anyone has the answer to this? Please, I beg you! I just got a few days ago!

    Thank you.

Hey, guys, I had the touchscreen partially responsible (upper right part) + 100% of the CPU. What I ended up doing, it was a clean install of Windows 10 and do NOT install Dell Quickset. I repeat, DO NOT install of Quickset. Hardware works fine without it and I stopped to get 100% of the CPU after idle and touch screen works normally. The only downside is that I get an unrecognized component (ACPI\SMO8810\1), which I think has to do with the keyboard locking in tablet mode. This isn't the complete solution of 100%, but I feel that the Dell power plan is not coded correctly. For any question, you guys might have, let me know!

  • Tactile touchscreen Ghost by clicking (Dell XPS 17)

    Hi all

I went through many of the posts and forums. Have heard different solutions and I've tried a few, but there seems to be no improvement in this issue.

As suggested by many, I didn't used to turn off my touch screen, spent $ 200 for this...

Have reinstalled the drivers from N-trig, recalibrate my touchscreen but no improvement. You people can understand my situation as I type this message. It took me 10 minutes to type in these lines because of click happening on my bottom right of the screen, which is either the trigger of my office web page scroll button down (scroll right bar)

Help, please. I don't want to go back to my laptop. This is my first laptop and I waited for almost a year to buy it.

Many people have a similar problem, you wonder why dell is not alarmed by so many similar positions...

    Hi all

As I said in my previous comment, did the calibration, reinstalling the drivers and all things.

After having a long discussion with the customer to dell support they suggested me to restore to factory setting. (kind of formatting of the system). But still the problem persisted.

4 days back they change my laptop screen. And guess what my problem is solved. If your under warranty and have tried all the options above, then please go to hardware changes. (The same has been proposed by N-Trig support too)

  • There the stylus for touchscreen computers Dells?

My wife and I just ordered computer all-in-one touchscreen Dells I5459-4020blk. So far the two of us use our staff (screenless) Wacom tablet, Intuos series. With the new touchscreen computer allowing an adjustable rocker, it seems as a selling point is to be able to use it as one big tablet. But I want to know if dell or wacom sells stylus specially designed for these computers with touch screen. We need to be able to use Photoshop and would like a stylus that supprt programmable buttons and press and hold features. Interchangeable feathers... stuff like that. Especially if she allowed the 'Pen' feature only where the screen will respond only to the pen and not your hand/arm/wrist/skin.

Im not going to get any pen generic ol Wal-Mart/target. Any ideas?

The answer to the original question

"are there of pens to computers touch Dells.

    is that there aren't any.

Other surfaces the pro machines, I'm not aware of all the touch screens based on windows or touch screen with the stylus machines.

  • Reference Dell ST2220T 21.5 "Touchscreen Flat Panel Monitor

If you can't download the necessary drivers from the Dell support site, is compatible with this monitor in Windows XP? Or you install Windows 7 to use the features of the touch screen? Thank you!

    Hi JasmineCange,

From the site of the manufacturer, it is obvious that this monitor is compatible with the operating system Windows XP (OS). However, to see if the touch features work for this model of monitor with Windows XP operating system, it would be preferable that get you in touch with the manufacturer.
