Tactile touchscreen Ghost by clicking (Dell XPS 17)

Hi all

I went through many of the posts and forums. Have heard different solutions and I've tried a few, but there seems to be no improvement in this issue.

As suggested by many, I didn't used to turn off my touch screen, spent $ 200 for this...

Have reinstalled the drivers from N-trig, recalibrate my touchscreen but no improvement. You people can understand my situation as I type this message. It took me 10 minutes to type in these lines because of click happening on my bottom right of the screen, which is either the trigger of my office web page scroll button down (scroll right bar)

Help, please. I don't want to go back to my laptop. This is my first laptop and I waited for almost a year to buy it.

Many people have a similar problem, you wonder why dell is not alarmed by so many similar positions...

Hi all

As I said in my previous comment, did the calibration, reinstalling the drivers and all things.

After having a long discussion with the customer to dell support they suggested me to restore to factory setting. (kind of formatting of the system). But still the problem persisted.

4 days back they change my laptop screen. And guess what my problem is solved. If your under warranty and have tried all the options above, then please go to hardware changes. (The same has been proposed by N-Trig support too)

I have the dell XPS 410 and I can't get it able to run mine craft due to a warning on my driver is possible to run it?

You can probably run, but you will need to provide the specific error message, without paraphrase, as well as the following system information. For more detailed advice.

I imagine that the warning suggests that you update the driver for your video card.

I love my Dell and use media station to watch cable TV while playing games on the internet (pogo.com) sometimes I play solitaire spider OEM.  I think that, especially in the afternoon, my image of the desktop will get pixelated (small hyphens in contrasting colors) gradually fill in top to bottom.  Initially, I thought this might be the steganography, but found no references.  then I noticed that the pixelation in contrasting colors began to appear on the screen of the media station into strips about 6-8 rows of red, green and blue and pulsed in time for audio.  do not have audio video storage but this started to happen when Comcast went digital, so there may be a link?  spoke and troubleshoot-done with the line paid expert who suggested Speedfan as a diagnosis for my GPU graphics processing unit.  When I reboot, everything is fine so it happens with increasing frequency.

Dell does not offer an Option of their disc repair.

Search for the latest version of the software from the Dell drivers and download the article:

We will not help you replace damaged Dell; This is something to discuss with Dell.

You may have to reinstall Vista:

  • Del XPS 13 no audio device

Hello, I have a Dell XPS 13 and today it detects no audio.

The "speaker" icon appears with a red x.

And in the audio devices and devices Records, it shows that it is not any kind of device.

Also in the control panel > devices shows that it cannot load the driver "Intel high Definition Audio.

I've already updated the update dell drivers drivers page www.dell.com/.../drivers

My mother has the same exact specifications and had the same problem since the last update of Windows. We've tried everything, download the drivers with Dell system detects, manually get the drivers from Realtek, nothing helps.

We also had the "Intel High Definition Audio" in the device under 'Other devices' Manager as OP.

What I tried, and surprisingly, what worked for me is as follows:

    1. right click on the Intel High Definition Audio device.

    2. Select "update driver software... »

    3. browse my computer...

    4. just choose from a list...

    5. something like 'Show all manufacturers' (top option in the list, can't exactly remember what she said and I can't do this again now).

    6. then, in the list on the left, select Realtek

    7. Select Manager Realtek HD Audio on the right (the version of January 2016) and install it.

    8. in the installation, you should already see the volume with the red cross icon, changing to normal volume icon :-)

  • Turning off Dell XPS SubWoofer

    Hello

Is there a way to disable Dell XPS Sub Woofer, sometimes, when the sound is high, the woofer starts popping up, so I just wanted know if there is way to temporarily disable?

    Thank you

    Shubham

    Hi guptashubham123,.

There is no option to turn off the subwoofer in XPS system.

You can modify the equalizer settings audio application in the system tray.

Here are the steps on how to change the audio settings.

1: on Windows 7 systems, click Start --> Audio Dell--> Dell Audio in Windows 8 systems, type Dell Audio from the splash screen and select Audio Dell utility.
Reference Dell Audio from Realtek utility is launched.

2: you can change the settings you want in the different tabs on the utility.

  • Dell XPS 15, using Dell U2711 external monitor using HDMI

    Hi all

Just thought I'd share how I connected my Dell XPS 15 (9550) to my Dell U2711 monitor to help and the HDMI cable

Go to control panel Intel HD graphics
Set a customized for Dell U2711 monitor resolution
2560 x 1440-55 Hz with CVT - rb option for standard synchronization

All update more than 55 Hz, the screen's burst of color. He looked washed out.

You need to go to multiple screens and apply a simple screen and choose Dell U2711 monitor as a single monitor. Then go to General settings and adjust the settings of the monitor display to 2560 x 1440, with a refresh rate of 55p.

Back to multiple monitors, and then click the extended desktop.

Go to General settings and make sure that the resolution of 2560 x 1440 with refresh rate of 55P is selected.

Another possible setting is to click on the desktop and select display, click Advanced display settings and select the resolution of 2560 x 1440 for the Dell u2711 monitor

    Hope this is useful.

    Thanks for posting this fix.

  • Dell XPS 18, Windows 8.1 using fixed headphones hissing, update the driver Realtek!

I solved my problem and I wanted to just document here in case someone else goes through this. Just got my new 'giant tablet to the search"Dell XPS 18 last week. He loved until I decided to use my Bose headphones to listen to SiriusXM. I bagged just about up to return the XPS when I hear a constant hissing sound coming through the headphones. So I tried to listen to something on Youtube, and even with the muted Youtube audio, I even heard a shrill whistle.  Naturally, when energy saving, kicking because none audio wasn't playing, everything went quiet, but the whistle came right back as soon as any sound played through the headphones.

The ATTEMPT FAILED: as more irritable geeks, I did an uninstall driver full audio drivers. Then I downloaded the drivers from the Dell Support Web to ensure site I had later and did a reinstall with a few reboots. Not surprisingly, I always understood that annoying hissing static coming through the headphones. Then I found somewhere a mention to go to Realtek.

SOLUTION: Go to the Realtek site (www.realtek.com.tw) > click on downloads in main menu > click on High Definition Audio Codecs (software) > accept the advice > download 64-bit Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1 driver only. Version R2.73. I clicked and downloaded the link US2: 64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_R273.exe (103MB). I then ran the installation program which required two reboots to install completely.

ITS OWN PURE! The hiss is now gone when listening with headphones.  Moreover, the Dell Audio MAXX Audio Pro, which is delivered on the Dell XPS 18 works always. I don't know what hidden feature, I could have lost, but I consider that it is resolved.

Hope this helps someone who decides to use the headset with the Dell XPS 18

    1 million thanks!

    Worked like a charm!

  • Dell XPS 18 windows 8 tiles and CD key issues

    Greetings,

I just buy Dell XPS 18, i3-3227u, 4 GB of Ram.

-When the RMB (right button) on a tile, I can see a checkmark appears briefly and disappears.  I don't see any option to remove or install new tiles.  Am I missing something?

-Where can I find the keys to Windows 8 CD installed on my system?  I look at my Dell app and quick guide provided without result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To get your key of Windows 8 use the VB of MS script

    http://Gallery.technet.Microsoft.com/scriptcenter/backup-Windows-product-key-1a200645

Depending on the application you are trying to install the uninstall is not available. Probably these are programs by default Windows 8 as the camera application.

Another reason from what I saw was that the applications do not provide an uninstall of all (poorly written) application.

To remove or add new tiles, go to applications (in the main of scroll down screen), right-click on the application and click on what you want to do.

  • Buy an another Dell XPS?

Let me start by saying two things from the start... I have been a loyal Dell product owner because I bought my first Dell in 2001 and I like desktop computers.  I've made several purchases since then which brings me to this question. In July I got a refund from Dell on a XPS 8700 I had to return after working with Technical Support Dell for 3 months trying to repair the computer and sends a technician to replace a few parts.  I would also like to clarify that the 8700 XPS is a desktop replacement that Dell sent me in December 2013 which had the same problem as that 8500 XPS.  So ask you... what was the problem... I'll try to explain. First turn off ' XPS began with 8 and then put WIndows to upgrade to Windows 8.1 so much she still had questions about both. Also on the technician of Dell XPS 8500 replaced hard drive card mother and graphics card AFTER all the "remote access" and the virsus scan and repair via the Support technique Dell among most of seas. Here is what computers were... first disable the 'charm' on Windows 8/8.1 do not assume upward when you move the mouse to the border again if you have tried to open the files they would not open. Also if I used Internet Explorer or Google Chrome/or Modzilla as my Web browser, I could go on my home page and click on what anyone, in this case that MSN.com is my home page and history would be "blink so to speak" and go back to my home page. If I tried to use one of my book marked Favorites he would do the same thing and if it didn't it would simply return a blank white page.  Initially, Dell thought that my browsers have been diverted... but continued to reinstall and reload the operating system and run analyses virsus have no chance. Then they tried to check my router and my internet provider modem cable to see if they were questions.  It didn't matter if I'm connected wireless or ethernet, that I always had the same problem.  What makes it worse is THIS computer Im on now works with them all the time that I lived this nightmare. This brings me where I am now. I'm strugglingly really hard to buy an another Dell XPS, especially after the nightmare of 11 months, I just went through on the previous two.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Volsdude,
