Dell Inspiron N4110 Windows Update 10...

I discovered that Microsoft had installed a program on my laptop, after I restarted. It was a program letting me know that Windows 10 is available for download today...

Apparently, Microsoft said Windows 10 WILL RUN PERFECTLY on the laptop... But I wanted to check with Dell Community...

SO IS IT LEGITIMATE... Are the drivers for the Inspiron N4110 update for support with Windows 10?

I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. Think of the upgrade...

As far as I know, 10 Windows work properly on Dell Inspiron N4110. Although its driver is not yet updated to be compatible for Windows 10, you can install all the drivers on Windows 10 using Driverpack Solution 14.5. I am running Windows 10 Pro on my laptop, and all the drivers do not work properly. It is advisable to clean install Windows 7 Ultimate, install any drivers, and then upgrade to Windows Pro 10. If you answer that you can install Windows 10.

    I'm having a problem with my Player DVD - HL - DT - ST DVD +-RW GT10N.  I have a Dell Inspiron 1750, Windows 7.

It was working fine, then after 3 critical updates from MS, it stopped reading/writing on the DVD player.  The only way I can access the DVD (read or write) is to restart.  A subsequent loading of different or even the same DVD finished with the issue of not being able to recognize the DVD.

When I click on the properties of the DVD drive in Device Manager, it clocks.  However, after a reboot, the properties has worked well and said that the driver does not work properly.

I got to the period before 1st update was installed and the DVD player worked as before.  However, Ms. downloaded the same (I assume) updated critical shortly after.  Low and behold, the DVD player does not work yet.

The MS CD/DVD patch could not fix.

  • My dell Inspiron 1150 windows xp password son has locked and the screen will not change, we do not know the password or have we not the reset disk, how can connect to reset password

My dell Inspiron 1150 windows xp password son has locked and the screen displays the dell logo and says that I need the master password or administrator, my son can't remember and we do not have the reset disk, is it possible to get and reset the password or enter the system

If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting. It allows to connect and change the password of your normal connection.

To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

  • Problems with Dell Factory Image Restore - Dell Inspiron 1564 - Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

My laptop (Dell Inspiron 1564 - Windows 7 Home Premium) slowed down a few days ago and I decided to restore the system to Dell Factory Image. The process started but stopped at most of halfway and gave the following message: "unable to apply the Image. I rebooted the system, but it would now not start, not even in safe mode! Perhaps, during the process of restoring a few essential Windows files have been erased.

I want to restore the Image of Dell and can not reinstall Windows because I lost the product key of my Windows 7 original installation DVD provided by Dell at the time of the purchase of the laptop. Your help / advice is solicited and would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

P.S. The system recovery Partition is intact and has factory.wim and other related directories / files intact.

If you use the Windows 7 Home Premium DVD Dell reinstallation it will automatically apply the Dell OEM SLP activation. In short, a product key is entered from the DVD and active if and only if the BIOS is validated by Dell to perform Windows 7. Therefore, you do not have the key 25-digit number on the certificate of authenticity. If you want to know the code then look under the battery.

  • laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc.

I heard that after a few years of use, Windows-based computers lose their ability to function. This happened to me before and I bought a new laptop. Now, I think that it happens again. The laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc... He is also declining my VPN connection occasionally, but also my direct connection is very slow. Latency shows speedtest software provided by the ISP in addition of 250 ms, download speed of 1 MB/s (compared with 8 planned) and 0.05Mbps download. The ISP has corrected this once, but I'm wondering now if it is the computer which is slow rather than on the network because my laptop works well on the same network/router. Is there one solution to this other than another new laptop?

    Jonathan,

You say that your computer is slow, but all of the examples you give are rather than slow computer operations slow network communications.  To avoid any unnecessary work, check how fast the computer is on the tasks that don't use any network.

If it works fine for tasks not network then you can concentrate on the problems of network as being the only concern.

It has also become very slow for no network tasks you should study other causes.  Just as an example: If, like me, you sleep / turn off the computer when you are not using it then defrag will never work, so you can run it manually to make sure that doesn't cause problems.   Describe your symptoms in this thread so that someone can advise on the best course of action.

In the unlikely case where you must run Dell Factory Image Restore, then the instructions are in your manual PC *.  Before doing this, run Dell Datasafe Local Backup then click on Backup, recovery to create - media allows you to create a bootable USB of the partition that you can use the normal procedure that failing Dell Factory Image Restore [to do this, even if you have already solved your problems so that you could face if the hard drive has failed never completely].

    * Procedure Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from the manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]

    1. turn on the computer.

2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.

Note: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.

    3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.

    4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.

    5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.

    6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.

Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.

    7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.

Note: If you do not wish to continue Factory Image Restore, click Cancel.

    8. check the box to confirm that you want to continue reformatting the hard drive and restoring the system software to the factory condition, then click Next.  The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes. A message appears when the operating system and the applications installed in the factory have been restored to the State of the plant.

The only safe option is to perform a factory restore. If you do not, then you are likely to be confronted with a machine that is seriously infected or was hacked. Have a look here for instructions:

  • Dell Inspiron N5110 Windows 10

    Hi all

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R N5110. Two months ago, that I upgraded win 7 to win 10. Everything worked fine until the last wins 10 update.

In particular, my blue Dell-* the mouse does work when I have the pair to the laptop so if I restart the laptop does not work even if turns out be coupled with the laptop. I reinstalled the drivers of bt, but I have the same problem again. I unchecked the option that can turn off the laptop blue-* for energy saving but still the same thing.

In support of the Dell page for this model is written the following:

Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade

Dell is not stable or develop Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications and connected devices may not work as expected.

You have an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Thanag7

    Hi Thanag7,

Change power settings is, unfortunately, the only one I know casual "fix."  If that does not work I do not know what else to think.  Another Member of the community may have some suggestions, so I'm bumping this thread to see if other response.

I don't think you're alone with what is happening since the last update so I hope this is something that Microsoft will be able to fix pretty quickly.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n - z stopped Wireless Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 printing.

Use this printer for over 2 years without any real problems.  Second Dell Inspiron on W7 still works OK. Tried all the HP patches, including printing & scanning doctor and full uninstall/reinstall, but still does not.  Software HP said system is OK.  Windows says no driver installed.  Can't get the driver to install properly, despite many attempts.  Ideas for a desperate user?

    Hi gordon,.

Please contact me.  The answer to your question is a simple Yes, the driver will not install correctly. However I have, this morning, finally solved the problem thanks in part to a post of another person of HP who responded to another question on the forum.  It has provided a link to a patch allowing, when I used it, the driver must be installed.  I then found I still couldn't print but which narrowed it down to my McAffee firewall.  History has shown that the firewall was blocking the Spooler subsystem app.  When I changed the firewall to allow this, the printer started working very well.

Because I'm just an average user of PC, with no I / T skills, it took me several hours to solve this problem.  I guess there many others out there, just like me, but maybe not like pig's head, which would just give up and go buy another printer.  Automatic updates of Viva!

    Thanks anyway.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 Windows 8.1 Shutdown issues

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 running on Windows 8.1 (upgrade of Windows 8)

    System Specs:

    BIOS: A06

    Model No.: Inspiron 3537

    Other specifications: http://www.flipkart.com/dell-inspiron-15-laptop-4th-gen-ci7-8gb-1tb-win8-2gb-graph/p/itmdpzjm3hyzfbfg?pid=COMDPZJC9STYFRP9

    Detailed description of the problem

After a start for 10-15 minutes when I stopped Windows through the switch to the screen or via terminal commands Windows displays a screen of Windows stop and then the screen turns off. However the processor and hard drive are both running I can

See the indicator lights for power, hard drive and Wifi to be always on.

Hear the fan whirring through the wind vent.

This has been a recurring phenomenon for more than 6 - 7 times in the last two days, since I bought the laptop computer and improved. The fact that it runs on battery or power does not seem to affect him as I encountered this problem on two sources of energy.

    What I've done so now

<1>Updated all drivers (including the BIOS) on the site of Dell support for my laptop.

<2>Update AMD Radeon 8850 M graphics card drivers.

<3> Run complete Diagnostic check from BIOS

<4>Uninstalled all applications in the Windows Store I had downloaded

<5>Unchecked everything absolutely non-essential to start services.

Hello I wanted to just say that I have the same laptop and also facing the same problem so far I managed to the difficulty of the shutdown process, but still I have problem with sleep and hibernation.

To correct the closing process is simple just go in Panel of-> system and security-> Power Options-> choose this as the power button

And uncheck the quick start option. I hope this will help you stop your laptop normally.

But for other options, I think that dell must provide the new update for AMD driver or something like that.

    Thank you.
