(Dell Latitude E6400) Windows 7 64 bit Dell control point

I installed Windows 7 64 bit on my Latitude E6400. I can't find any way to install the Dell Control Point. I got the Pack of drivers to install. I found a single download of the Security Manager who has worked, but I would like to than the power one Manager.

I looked on this forum a few times and all the links I click redirect just me at the page downloads and drivers. I get an error saying that my service pack is not supported... I'm on Windows 7 Service Pack 1. I have also some 32-bit errors, but it's my fault to have downloaded the 32 bit version.

Someone has a link to the full package of checkpoint Dell (Power Manager, Manager of connections, Security Manager) that works on Windows 7 64 bit?

Thank you

Win 7 Control Point System Manager files are a little hard to find, but they can be downloaded from the following link.

This will help you if you have installed the drivers in the correct order.

  • With the help of VISA with Windows 7 64-bit resource control

    Hello.

My company has recently upgraded our laptops, and I now work on Windows 7 64 bit rather than Windows XP 32 - bit.  I reinstalled a bunch of basic LabVIEW 2009, hoping that the 64-bit Windows 7 operating system would be able to handle 32-bit LabVIEW 2009 without problems.  But trying to run our test system, the control of VISA resources does not work.

We use it to get a list of the COM (RS232) ports on the computer.  But the list is now empty.  The only option that appears in the list, is the text "Refresh."  But nothing happens when I press it.  Is this a bug in LabVIEW?  I installed the latest patch that I found, so now I'm under LabVIEW v9.0f3 (32 bit).

    Many thanks for any help!

LabVIEW SP1 has an x 64 native installer.  I'm running very well with drivers 64-bit on this disc.  I think that the later will have something to do with your problem.  See the com ports in MAX?

  • I have a Latitude E6400 Windows Vista and lost all the sound elements. How can I get that back?

I can't do audio on youtube or DVDs on my laptop. Any suggestions?

    Hello

Do you have any audio at all?

You should probably download and install the latest drivers for your audio device.

Be sure to set the compatibility to the correct version for which they were written.

Uninstall your Audio device in Device Manager before you reinstall the drivers.

    EDIT:

I just checked Dell, and there are three models different e6400.

I downloaded the Win 7 Audio drivers for e6400 and found that they will probably have to be REMOVED to be able to establish the compatibility of the installer with INSTALLATION inside the packaging.

To do this, you will need a program such as WinRar, WinZip or 7Zip. I think 7Zip has a free version.

After installing the program, right click on your program of driver installation and EXTRACT, as you would a zip file.

Then open the folder and double click it to install the Win 7 INSTALLATION compatibility value

I bought another USB mouse and it has the same problem.

    Hi Ardeet,

Two other things I would say.  First of all, have you been able to test your mouse on another machine to make sure it's working properly?

Also, have you been to the website of the manufacturer of your computer to update the drivers for your machine and chipset?

    I hope this helps!

Dell latitude E6400 window 7 (directly connected to the printer), window of inspiron Dell 8 3520 (wireless), they do not meet the printer. I HP4215 like a printer by default on both computers, but I can't print anything. Please advise! Thank you!

Hello @azarita and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that you are having problems printing from your system.  I would like to help!

I would recommend you to do a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

  • Quick adjustment driver for a Latitude D630 with Windows 7 32 bit

I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on a Dell Latitude D630.  Is there a compatible with the D630 AND Windows 7 Home 32 bit Dell QuickSet driver?

I tried to use the serial number, [ADMIN NOTE: Service tag deleted by the privacy policy], in order to obtain the correct driver from the quick set button, but the pilot was offered, R182249, would not load.  The Dell site also does not list Windows 7 in the drop down menu to the operating system.  R182249 is listed as pilot QuickSet for Vista 32 or 64 bit.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

R182249 is for Vista 64 bit only; It will not work on 32 bit OS.

R180762 should load on Windows 7 32 bit, it worked fine for me on a D820.

  • How can I increase my usable RAM to 4 GB under Windows 7-32 bit?

    I have a laptop (Acer 5741 G) with 4 GB of RAM. I run Windows 7 32-bit

    > Control Panel > system shows that: installed Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB (2.53 GB usable).

I found a few fixes for Windows 7 and applied to my system and now it shows this: installed Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB(3.87 GB usable)

I want to know is there a solution for 4.00 GB usable in Windows 7 32 bit?

my graphics card is a Geforce GT 320 M with 1024 MB of dedicated RAM (No part).
Also, you can check my laptop specs: Acer 5741 G

Link to the patch file: http://www.tarfandestan.com/files/Patch-3-Windows-Vista-and-7.zip

Windows 7 32-bit is hardcoded only address 4 GB of TOTAL memory. If you have 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of video RAM, your video card gets 1 GB which means now Windows has only 3 GB of memory left to address (even if you have 4 GB of free RAM). The other 0,47 GB is probably reserved for other hardware components (or buffer just as your reserved chipset). You can actually dig into the Device Manager and (with a little math) understand exactly the amount of memory is reserved for each component. Mark Russinovich has a very detailed and technical article is here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2008/07/21/3092070.aspx

EAP is a feature that allows to address more than 4 GB of memory with 32 - bit. I * think * Win7 32-bit installs the core EAP (ntkrnlpa.exe and ntkrpamp.exe in c:\windows\system32) because it has other features for newer processors, but even the PAE-enabled kernel is still hardcoded to a 4 GB max memory addressable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension#Microsoft_Windows). So I would say that the patch is trying to hack in and remove the 4 GB limit so that you can fully use EAP to address more than 4 GB. Aside from possibly violate the windows license agreement, you won't see any problems. Or you might eventually see some of the problems that Mark Russinovich describes as possible when the client systems use EAP for > 4 GB:

What they find is that many systems would crash, hang or be initialized because some device drivers, usually those for video and audio devices that are found generally on clients, but no servers, no were not programmed to wait physics treats more than 4 GB. Thus, the drivers truncated such addresses, having for result of memory corruptions and the side effects of corruption. Server systems generally have more generic devices and with drivers simpler and more stable, and therefore did not usually surface these problems. The problematic client driver ecosystem led to the decision for client SKUS to ignore physical memory that lies beyond 4 GB, even though they can theoretically solve.

  • Dell Latitude E6400 running slow

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 - it has 4 GB of RAM and a processor 2.53 Ghz running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit - how is it is slow? I ran all the troubleshooting I can think, made malware scans, virus scans, and it is still slower than my other laptop that has 1 GB of RAM and a processor 1.73 Ghz - ideas? Thank you!

The problem is that the CPU is overheating and when it the fact that the processor at 800 mhz speed and stay there the CPU goes to 100% usage and the system dies.  I had this problem for 2 years before I understood what it was.  I took off the bottom of the computer (a screw in the middle).  Removed the heatsink to the CPU/GPU and cooling fan.  I have removable fan and removed the therma spent the CPU and the GPU thermal pad.  I have then divide a tube of thermal paste Arctic Silver 5 Radio Shack ($10) and replaced the heat sink and let it heal from one day to the next.  I also bought a block of cooling fan powered to the computer but never needed to use it.  The machine works like a monkey assed stipped running multiple video streams at the same time and cool enough to keep al running stayng.  I was ready to relegate this machine to a storage device, but now it it GREAT.  Good luck

  • Dell Latitude E5520 - upgrade Seven 32-bit SP1 to Seven 64 bit SP1

    Hello world

I bought a Dell Latitude E5520 in 2011 with a system of operating windows 7 32 bit french. I have 8 GB of RAM so I would like to upgrade my version of the OS a 32-bit to a 64-bit SP1 seven. My laptop (CPU, ram) is compatible with the 64-bit version. I have the 32-bit original key and dell DVD included in my purchase of the license. I do not have seven french operating system 64-bit DVD and I would like to buy one to upgrade my laptop...

Is it necessary for me to buy a new license key (for the 64-bit version) or my 32-bit license key will be functional on this version of 64-bit DVD?

    Thanxs for all.

Dell will not sell you a 64-bit Windows 7 disc usually, they support only the original operating system so if you asked media you would probably get media 32 Bit.

However, your license is valid for both.

You can use the ABR program to back up the activation of your Dell OEM SLP Factory:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/Microsoft-product-activation/the-activation-backup-and-recovery-program-Windows-Vista-7-version/

Probably the same files that I saved the work for the French version but you can save your own in case where.

You can then use an .iso of Digital River French Windows 7 to the same version of your COSTS:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/the-OEM-or-retail-license/

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/Windows-7-SP1-ISO-download/

Install without a product key and after the installation, allows to restore Dell Factory ABR SLP OEM activation. See to install clean windows for more details:
