Dell S2340l 2 on a graphics card MSI R9 290 Twin Frozr

Greetings!

As indicated in the title, I have 2 x Dell S2340l and I am trying to understand the best way to connect them to my GPU MSI R9 290 Twin Frozr. The GPU itself accepts the following: HDMI, DP, 2 x DVI - D.

First monitor is simple; I just used HDMI to HDMI. Now the 2nd is a little confusing.

I currently have a spare HDMI cable. What would be the best way to connect my GPU?

I don't care Audio transmission. As long as I don't have full HD @ 60 Hz, which would be excellent.

Thanks in advance!

The problem presents itself as a horizontal black bands or model checker color scattered. It affects the entire application or only some rectangular (region clearly who was redesigned due to change of application). Then repaint (such as switch between Firefox tabs) usually solves the problem. This is just visual, the behavior is not affected. The problem never happened to any other application so far. You will need to replace the motherboard, which, on this model, replace the CPU as well, such as the CPU and GPU are permanently soldered to the motherboard.  Who's going to replace the expensive - probably 30 to 50% of the original system costs.  It will also void your warranty, if it is a review.

If the system is less than twenty-one days of shipping, return it and order the model improved as you want.  If it's more than that, sell and buy the system improved - this is the only way to preserve your warranty and it will cost probably less than the replacement of the Board of Directors.

  • Dell Inspiron 3521 i3 - Driver graphics card

    Hello

I have a problem with installing the driver for the graphics card for Inspiron 3521 i3. I looked at other posts on the forum on the issue, as for example:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3519/t/19524757.aspx

I think that I have installed the drivers in the correct order (correct me if I'm wrong):

    1 chipset and card reader

    2 USB 3.0 drivers

    3 serial ATA

    4. audio driver

Yet, despite this, I'm not able to install any driver Intel HD version (new or old versions, I tried everything)... which I know I should install front of the graphics card from AMD.

Indicate where I am doing wrong, please.

  • Alienware X 51: can I get the dell 745 to put in my office or send my office back so dell can replace the outdated graphics card.

I was just searching the site of alienware by looking at the computer I just purchased and realized that they have updated the model graphics since a 645 to 745 and I was just curious to know if it was possible to send my current desktop (x 51 with a 645) to dell and replace my outdated (still under warranty) graphics card.

It is not possible. We do not have a service upgrade. If you are inside the first 30 days of the invoice date, you can contact Customer Service and restore the system to Dell credit or a refund. Then buy the X 51 - R2 with the video card.

trying to upgarde my pavilion a1250n computer of office for graphics card MSI r5450 radeon. The card and the machine starts fine with the ATI radeon 200 exprees edge. I went into Device Manager and disabled the ATI radeon 200 adapter, and the system still wouldn't start with the new card. Went into the Bios at startup and changed the setting of the adapter PCI E, the slot where I put the card, and still won't work, even with the Bios and Device Manager changes I made.

New card right out of the box, could be bad, or perhaps not compatible with my system? If is not compatible, what would you recommend? Currently I am running windows XP SP3 and am looking for a card that can be upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. • Inspiron 3737 - pass fron integrated to the dedicated graphics card

    Hello

I got Dell Inspiron 3737 with integrated graphics card Intel 4000 and dedicated Radeon HD8670M graphics card.

Several weeks ago, I discovered this laptop works only with integrated IntelHD4000 (Win7 x 64). I installed the drivers of the latest GPU to dell, but it's not not to solve the problem. I installed older drivers, but also, there is no problem.

I decided to reinstall windows.  I installed Windows 7 x 64, all the drivers from the dell site in the order which they suggest. But laptop also only use IntelHD4000. In Device Manager shows two graphics GPU Intel HD Family and AMD Radeon HD8670M. Catalyst, AIDA64 and CPU - Z will find only Intel HD 4000. Reference Dell start diagnostic tools and Dell Online Diagnostics found no no problem (all tests was passed).

I tried to contact the technical support of Dell and got the following response "what did you want us? You are no longer under warranty and it's your problem! ».

If I understand correctly the video driver installation and switching between integrated and dedicated graphics are global problem. Solve someone has mentioned the problem and how?

    Hi p ol,

    Thanks for posting.

Please try these troubleshooting steps that may help solve the problem.

First connect your wired laptop so you don't have an internet connection.

-The first is to uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver AMD.
-Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
-Next is to check programs and features and uninstall everything related to AMD.
-Once done, download and install the latest AMD graphics driver.
    -Here is the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
-Restart your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
-Test your laptop again after these steps.
-Do the same with your wireless adapter, uninstall/reinstall it so.
-This is where you can download the wireless card of.

  • Looking to update the graphics card in my Dell XPS 8900 EVGA GeForce GTX 960.

I have a Dell XPS 8900 Special Edition that I bought a few months ago. I want to upgrade the OEM GeForce 745 of GTX that it came with an EVGA GTX 960.

I have the Dell XPS 8900 (processor i7 - 6700 k), 32 GB of memory, 2 TB HDD + SSD of 32 GB m2, monitor cache Dell UP2516D and Windows 10 Pro. I'll add a second monitor Dell UP2516D soon and later add an SSD and move the OS and applications on.

My needs are not at stake. I mainly business applications (MS-Office, including access and project), finance and investment, and a lot of photo and video editing.  Photo editing software uses the GPU if I update.

EVGA has suggested either of the following, based on what would be good:

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=04G-P4-1961-KR

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=04G-P4-3963-KR

    These cards are almost identical except;

    #1 is long of 6.8 ", has 1 BIOS, 1 fan and use 128 watts for $160

#2 is 10.1 "long, has 2 BIOS, 2 fans and consume 160 watts for $170

I thought I would replace the graphics card myself, but once I opened the folder, I was wondering if the two cards will even fit.  I saw that other people have swapped their graphics card, so it must be possible.

When I look in my case, the existing graphics card is a single location.  These two cards are double slot.  In addition, it seems that there are a few transistors just next to the existing card.  When you install a card double slot, the new map is just overlap the transistors under?

Finally, in view of these two cards and the XPS 8900 case, is it possible to put the card in?  Is it worth the extra $ 10 earn an extra BIOS and fan, to the detriment of one more card of time and 12 watts?

Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Dual cards fit without any problem. Many have improved their 8900 XPS and 8700 with cards that need two slots of width.

I prefer the models dual fan as they run cooler. They have a bigger heat sink and with relatively low heat from GTX 960, some are silent at idle because the fans do not work.

For example, MSI GTX 970 son fan only above a certain temp that only happens every game. Maybe the EVGA card did the same thing. It is nice to have a quiet system at idle.

Regarding the adjustment, the MSI GTX 970 games 4 G card Dimensions are (mm) 140 x 277 x 35. Length and height are tight but it fits without cutting.

In addition, as noted speedstep you run SATA cables under the card. I replaced the SATA cables with longer cables, so they route toward the front of the box, then under the graphics card and upward.

This thread has many cards different people have added. (the link is on page 26) and about the halfway point is my son with the MSI GTX 970 system, which (I think) is slightly larger that the EVGA 960 you listed.  It also shows the case mod to add a front fan.

  • New HP 2011 x 20 '' LED monitor for old Dell Dimension 2400. necessary graphics card?

My in-laws have an old Dell Dimension 2400 and the monitor exploded. I bought a new HP 2011 x 20 '' LED monitor. My WIRE went to set up, and he tells her that a HMDI graphics card is required.

This is a pretty old computer. I think he might have as... 512 MB of RAM. Is there an inexpensive graphics card that will meet their needs?

And besides, when they buy the graphics card, are there all the cables that they must reach a new monitor to an old computer?

    Thank you very much!

    Nice description of Dell:
Video connector to 15 holes :-)

Seems to be a VGA connector.

From the description of the monitor:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02643130
There is an also vga connector, so you will have no problem to connect the two.

No additional card is necessary, no other cable - just use the old vga cable.

Your only problem might be the resolution:
resolution 1600 x 900 set at the factory for the monitor.

I don't know if you can set the resolution to Dell, you should test.

Otherwise a 4:3 normal/old monitor would be better than this 'big screen' new.
