Dell Ultrasharp U2412M

I bought this from a dealer led monitor. When it displays something, I place 1 pixel has a red X mark, but still show a light.

He will be gone if the display shows a dark color, for example, blue, black, green.

I can see the X mark on light background, such as white, yellow, red.

stuck? I don't think it's a dead pixel because it always shows a light and he spent displaying dark color.

I try to use "conditioning lcd" built into the menu led and 3rd party software like "UDPixel", it runs about 20-30 minutes. nothing happens.

Help, please. is it possible to fix myself? or I can send to warranty expires?

Thank you.

  • New Dell Ultrasharp U2417H old Inspiron 580 MT desktop computer monitor

My new monitor has arrived today, but I can't connect it with the included cables. My old Inspiron 580 was purchased in 2010 and my old monitor used the plug VGA.

The cables provided with the new monitor are the upstream USB 3.0 cable and a DP for CDM cable. It doesn't seem to be a taking of CDM on my desk then, how can I connect the monitor?

My first question to the seller Dell was "this new monitor would be compatible with my old desktop Inspiron 580, that is, about connectivity?"  He said yes, he would.

  • Dell UltraSharp U2415 & Mac Mini (model end of 2014)

I just bought a Dell UltraSharp U2415 monitor and a Mac Mini (end of 2014 model) and am looking for help on how to connect them to benefit fully from the 16:10 report. As I understand it, if I'm going to hdmi to hdmi I get 16:9-1080 p.

I opted for 16:10 model so I can get a little more vertical screen space. Thank you for any assistance that you can pass along.

Unfortunately, Dell does not validate the test / this model of monitor on Apple, ports and software hardware. For this reason, Dell has no troubleshooting steps a lot to offer. You can post on the Forum of Discussions Apple and see what they say. But the resolution and appearance are both depending on the video source. In theory, you should use the CDM to crush on the Mac Mini.

  • DELL UltraSharp U2515H Monitor - fixed the power LED mode indicator sleep?

    Hello

I just bought a monitor DELL UltraSharp U2515H 25 and in the course of the day before (Mini DisplayPort) Power LED flashes during the standby time.

Can you tell me if this is normal?

This indicator returns to fixed when using the display and it is possible to turn off the light while turning on the unit via the OSD menu. (Page 41 of the french DELL user guide)

Thank you in advance for your support.

    Kind regards

It is normal to blink while it is in standby mode. White light indicates the monitor is on and fully functional. A glowing white light indicates the power saving mode. Did you put the Power button LED "off during active?

  • Billboards WILL vs IPS: Dell UltraSharp U2410, Dell USU2711

Or - what should I look for in a display to reach the full potential of my graphics card?

I doubt that I will get a monitor and have the intention to buy a screen for my new build which is currently being assembled, which I built here on this forum with the help of you all and thank you 1 million for that :)

So now I am considering both Dell and Dell UltraSharp U2410 UltraSharp U2711 screens because that's what offer various stores here of people making the video and graphics work. (It's a trendy oriented really place).

I do NOT see another competitor to these two options because of such trendyness mentioned, but also because of their ergonomic characteristics; the stand in both cases has a vertical adjustment to change the height of the screen on your desktop, more they both can be hung on the wall.

Another important feature is the guarantee, which is provided by the shop authorized Dell here in Israel ("Yael Pitronot"), which is very good, I know from my own (horrible) experience with my Dell laptop. Bought last fall, it was all parts replaced by this shop very fast and accurate (unlike the Dell international warranty service provider).

So, in fact, from my point of view it's a reason to NOT buy anything Dell.

In addition, these two screens have 6ms response time and my question, which is too slow for the first edition?

And, should I be looking for a screen GOING coffered which has MS2 (respponse to 2 milliseconds time)?

Finally, I'll give some info about my system: I'll have a pretty good graphics card (or so I'm told,) - Gainward GTX580 Phantom 3 GB with 3072 MB/384bits high-speed GDDR5 memory, but I don't know what should I look for in a display in order to take into account, or do it be compatible with my video card features.

Internal monitor Dell U2410 has 12-bit of a procedure, don't know what that means relative to the graphics/video card.

Finally, I'm going to use this machine to make the video and Flash video that I use in my Flash interactive applications (including animation), for which I also use Photoshopped stills, while I use Illustrator to make large posters (pretty frustrating on my laptop) and you want to use Indesign. In short, this computer is for the Classic Collection CS5.5.

    Any comments would be great.
    Thank you.

    Thank you.

The response time is a consequence of the architecture of the IPS and have to worry at all. The Dell Ultrasharp line is very good and has a nice performance ratio / $. There may be alternatives, such as the Asus Pro range, but your argument about locally available for the Dell printer service makes me say: look no further.

  • Unpredictable behavior with Dell Ultrasharp U2415 two monitors

Since I created my two Dell U2415 monitor, I had sporadic problems with one or two of them are not recognized. I have a system Windows 10 T1700 Dell Precision with two monitors. This is the first time I've ever owned monitors that use Mini DisplayPort technology. The problems are:

    1. I would like to turn the monitor OFF the end of the day, because I don't like the brightness of the light emitted by the power buttons when not in service.  But it seems that turn off the monitors always brings problems when I return to the computer the next day. For example, if I turn off the monitors, the next time I turn everything back on, 1 single monitor is recognized. Sometimes, it's the one on the right, and sometimes it's the only one on the left. The other monitor has power, but no entry is recognized and it just says: "Entering Standby Mode" or something like that, and there is no display.  When this happens, there is no 2nd monitor when I go into the control panel display settings. It's as if the monitor is not plugged. I have to restart my PC again (this time, ensuring that both screens are turned on at the time where it restarts), who sometimes feel to come back on two monitors.

    2. on Monday, I'm alerted me to an update of the software Dell Display Manager, so I installed the update. At the end of the day, I've upgraded my PC sleep (leaving turned on monitor). When I came back in the morning, the PC wake acknowledging only 1 monitor. I had to go to the display settings for Windows 10 and extend to the 2nd monitor (why I am able to do it again)?

Why are these things so delicate?  Is there a specific order in which everything must be turned off and turn it back on so that both monitors will be recognized correctly? Should I wait until my PC is off to turn off the monitors? I turn on the PC BEFORE monitors (or vice versa)? I have to turn on the primary monitor BEFORE the secondary monitor (or vice versa)? There seems to be some magic to all this and I would like to understand exactly what is happening. I want to be able to turn off monitors whenever I like and feel confident that the two be recognized when I've turn them back on. At this point, I'm leaving the power to monitor all the time because of the many problems I had and because I simply do not trust them.

    Thank you

For the computer to identify a DP/CDM monitors, the monitors must be first, and then the computer graphic card reaches out to monitor DP/CDM opening handshake. Any changes to this order will disrupt the handshake. A computer hibernate or sleep modes tend to confuse the DP/CDM handshake. So I don't use them at all.

  • UltraSharp U2412M monitor

I bought a u2412m monitor and I just watched a video on this subject, he said that the monitors are calibrated until they are shipped. Is this correct?

  • Dell Ultrasharp U2413, adobe and sRGB coverage with geforce classic

    Hello

This monitor has a 99% adobe rgb and 100% Srgb coverage, and is 30 bits.

However, to achieve this 30 bit (3 x 10) mode, you must use a graphics card that allows him, as a quadro. I don't have a Nvidia GTX 760, which is 24 Bits (3 x 8) I guess.

I would like to know how much coverage percentages are down when the monitor is plugged into a card. I would like a precise answer in percent.

Who will help me to know if it is worth for me to invest in such a screen, that I am not able also to change my graphics card in time.

    (1) the same coverage. The number of bits is to locate the 'points' within the gamut.
Put as an example: you have a sheet of A4 paper. It is the range. Then you can draw lines horizontally and vertically every 2 cm (~ 10 bits) and you get a set of intersections (colors) of the line. If you draw lines separated by 3 cm (~ 8-bit), you get less intersection on the same surface.

    (2) the coverage is for the native range (custom or standard OSD mode). Actual coverage for modes of calibrated pressure (sRGB and AdobeRGB) will depend on the quality of factory calibration. Expect the same from any manufacturer of the monitor with the same GBLED panels.

It is the same for the user in LUT3D calibration CAL1 and CAL2. If bought i1DisplayPro and use LUT3D calibration software presets "sRGB" or "AdobeRGB", wait for 99, 9-100% sRGB coverage and 96-99% AdobeRGB for each case.

    (3) with a nvidia gamer will not calibrate correctly in GPU, but LUT3D calibration will work fine. For a proper calibration GOU you need to a gamer AMD (8 bits) or a pro like nv Quadro or AMD over-pants (10-bit) card
