Restarts, driver going through complete installation process then I get an error at the end of the process, "the Dell Photo 926 Printer printer driver is not installed". I did this several times. In addition, I restarted the spooler to print several times. No luck. Additional suggestions on how I can get my 926 to work with Windows 7?

  Removal of print jobs is a way of really nice to get rid of your documents. After you restart your computer, you should be able to run the fix, Manual printer removal driver and restart once more. Try it to install the Vista drivers in compatibility mode, I used Vista SP2.

  Right click on the file setup.exe, on the left, click Properties, compatibility of the left click. Change Vista compatibility. Then, install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect (printer)

  To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

  First question: you have Windows 7 32 or 64 Bit OS (to find go to control panel, click on system, scroll down to the section of the OS, if its 64-bit it'll tell, otherwise it will be silent on the Bit depth). It is important to know that I can only find a Windows 7 driver for the 32-bit version, not the 64-bit version!

  We recommend doing a clean install of the operating system. Asking you to back up data from the Windows.old folder. If this option does not work, then you can manually reinstall Windows 7 using this link http://dell.to/1mN6P6v. If you want the printer don't work, please uninstall the printer driver. Connect the cable from the printer to the system only when the system prompts you to connect the cable. Continue with the installation, and it would print the test page once it is installed.   We have an Officejet Pro 8600 who will not feed the paper card stock. It was the printer that I used when I worked and did a great job on standard paper, but it won't take my wife stock card paper craft. We used to have a Deskjet F4400 HP all in one and we were able to print. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  Try indicating what type of media you print to the printer - if your media in the printing preferences settings do not understand "card", you should choose something else which is similar: Matt Brochure, card, 'something' that kind of card stock for the printer to the printer waits 'thick' paper looks.

  I suggest you remove the rear panel as shown in the video on this page to troubleshooting, then replace the Panel back and make sure it snaps in place.
