My dell v313 printer will not print in color

I have a dell printer it prints black but not color.  What could be the problem?  I bought the printer in 2009, it is Dell V313

Hello Patricia,

First question: you have Windows 7 32 or 64 Bit OS (to find go to control panel, click on system, scroll down to the section of the OS, if its 64-bit it'll tell, otherwise it will be silent on the Bit depth). It is important to know that I can only find a Windows 7 driver for the 32-bit version, not the 64-bit version!

If you have not visited the site of Dell, you will find perhaps instructive: http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?s=gen&c=us&l=en&cs=&k=printer+v313&cat=all&ref=ac .

This article on printing in color was particularly interesting: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&docid=52113 .

Let me know if this helps you.

Kind regards

BearPup

Hello - I'm a little late to the party, but I just found two updates (firmware, a driver for the OS deployment, both of 2012) on your website for my Dell V313 printer. Since these updates are of two years (can't get more recent updates), is it acceptable to go ahead and have them? Is there previous updates (since 2010, I got this printer) which should be made first, or can I go straight to the latter of 2012? Thank you.

    Redtail1,

Can you copy, print, scan and fax without problems? If so, then do nothing.

If it is not broke, do not try to fix it.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. You receive an error message?

    Method 1

See the articles below and check if it helps.

    Method 3

If the computer can boot in any mode, then I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it helps.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Mike,

You can try to disable the ToolTips of printers. If the printer is wireless, try channel 11 in your wireless router. You can also try to remove computers printer scan list and then restart the computer and see if it prints.

Start, Control Panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more control options. Tell him to never show. The problem with this setting is that you can not tell if you are weak of ink, printer jams, etc..

  • Printer will not connect to color cartridge

I have a HP Deskjet F4235 all-in-one and it says that the ink cartridge has a problem. I just printed on it a few minutes ago and it is a new cartridge. It printed in color, but he had horizontal bars of colour in the pictures. I took out the cartridge and put it back in to see if it is just necessary to put back in and it said that there is a cartridge problem when I went to print again. I took again and cleaned it with a coffee filter and nothing still does not work. I have cleaned the printer using the troubleshooting on the site and in the Help menu and it did nothing. If you have any ideas on how I can fix this I would really apriciate, I really want to replace my printer right now.

I'm sorry you have a problem with the printer printer of the horizontal lines on photos.

You can try the link below, if you have not already.

You can also perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord to the back of the printer and the wall outlet. Leave for 30 seconds and plug it back.

  • Workstation Dell Precision T7400 will not power with ATI Radeon 5970 installed

    Hello

I had my dream, the monster bi - GPU ATI Radeon 5970 video card and installed in my T7400 but the system will not start, all I get is a fast fan rotation and a kind of sounds from food, a bit like "Brrrnt, click on" led me to believe that the power supply could not handle my video card.

The video card requires an 8pin and 6-pin power plug. When I plug the 8-pin and 6-pin and turn on the computer, is a no-go as shown above. When only the power plug 6-pin I plugged the PC sounds like it will start, the power of fans but no display as I expect.

I tried this video card into the two PCI-Express slots with the same failure as a result. The computer works fine with the Nvidia Quadro 3700 in it... using a 6 power connector pins.

I got the ATI Radeon HD 5970 video card in a store of the local computer and it had tested ($15) because I didn't test it in a spare computer and video card passed with flying colors...

That's why I thought my 1000 Watt power supply was a problem, so as a bet, I ordered a replacement off eBay and received a sweater to work more the wiring harness and completely replaced the two who has a job to say the least! Have you tried to replace the wire bundle? a lot of work...

I got it all back together, crossed my fingers and prayed and tried again and the same thing... NO LUCK... I put the graphic card Nvidia Quadro 3700 back in and the system of power like a charm.

What on earth could it be the cause for it? I REALLY want to get this video card works in this system.

I even tried a bios update and carefully watched the card mother and everything that I could to see if there's... nothing exploded capacitors...

Please HELP - I want to get my game...

    Wesley

I think I found the solution and I would like to mention it here to help others if they get him...

A: the power of Dell for the T7400 was designed to produce five rails 12 volts @ 18 AMPS each and the video card requires approximately 45 to 50 amps to work properly. Video cables (one with a 8 pin) and 6-pin on the harness even seems to only provide amps 18 or more and the computer will not power because power protection circuit sees too many amps being requested by a 'rail' and turns off immediately...

I went to electronics of FRY in San Jose and bought a few cards that helped divide the current between different sources, such as the cables of the hard drive and video.

B: I have a small battery backup power unit and my T7400 was plugged into the saved game... When I got the video card to work, he could make a beep loud and after minutes cutting my T7400 due to the mainstream power support... I plugged the computer into a 'surge protector' but not battery backed up to the slot and since then had no problems...

Now after several tests including FurMark, my graphics card stress works very well in this system... This is due to an unfortunate design in the T7400 power supply and wiring... Now that I have this solved, I hope that someone else can benefit...

Get an adapter like this one, it allows to separate the power sources for the 8 power connector pin and use the PIN 6 original which is connected to the Dell printer condition 8 pin adapter, for the 6-pin slot... hope that makes sense... by trial and error, you got it right!

If you have no instructions POST/Splash/Bios-setting the screen to the power, you seem to have a hardware problem.

    If under warranty, contact Dell.

If it is not under warranty, contact a local and trusted computer repair workshop.

  • Dell XPS 12 - will not start / turns on after hard reset

Last night I was with my XPS w12 in laptop mode on battery and he finally went down to 7% of the capacity.  At this point, it turns off the display and I moved my office to connect the power adapter (thinking it would simply turn the display when there was enough power...  The screen never came back (I waited 15-20 minutes), but the battery has been recharged.  At that time, I tried a hard reset by holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds.

When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.  No backlit keyboard, no screen, just the fan.  The light never came the switch either. So I tried an another hard reset with the same results.  I even tried to turn it on with the "D" button held down for on board diagnostics and got nothing more than the start of the fan.

I thought it might be an overheating problem, so I let it set for an hour and tried again - none other than the fan. It seems that the laptop does not pass the initial diagnosis and not even up to the point where the bios starts to load.

I really thought that my cell phone was dead and ready for use.  I took it in the office the next day so I could call Dell Support Pro. Just for fun, I plugged with the AC adapter and tried to turn it on - viola!  It started working again.

I had this problem once before, and he began to work after 2-3 resets hard. I was working on a proposal when the laptop went down. I tried reset hard over a period of 4 hours with no result. It baffles me why it start OK the next day morning.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.  I am running the A07 BIOS (the most common) and my 12 XPS is configured with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB SSD with an i7 and Intel wireless card.

Any suggestions on this diagnosis? The hardest part is then if fails, the failure is total - you are unable to diagnosis. When she comes back, all right, and there is than any event in the event log that relate to the failure.

OK - I narrowed down it to the following:

When the laptop is "asleep", it will finally in power mode. It seems that connect a power adapter for the laptop at this point will enter a State of confusion, when the button is pressed, the laptop fan turns on but no light on the power button or on the keyboard – the screen remains blank.  Laptop fan works (it is very quiet - he must hold the phone to your ear to hear it).

I don't know if the cause is a low battery or if the issue is simply with the State of the CPU to power down.  All I know is that when it happens, if I disconnect the power adapter and press and hold the power button until the fan of the laptop turns off, the hard reset allows him to come back normally.  If you leave the adapter attached, it will charge the battery but will not allow the laptop start.

I said this experiment several times with the same result every time. I'm guessing that there is a bug in the BIOS that defines an error state that are resolved with the associated power Board. Do the hard reset without the adapter seems reliable to fix the problem.

  • Door drive DVD/CD of Dell Inspiron 530 will not be closed

I was in the middle of installation 3 disks of a game, when on the open disc 3, the door kept popping back.  Thought it was a bad drive maybe, so I tried another disc, same problem.  haven't tried any disc, same problem.  I restarted, in the remake, he closed the door, but then reopened it upward once in operation.  It will not be closed the door.  I have to take out them and put it back in or is it turned and I need a new?  It came OEM with the machine, says he works correctly in Device Manager.  in properties, he says that's DVD + RW DH 16 - W15 aPBDS.  If I need a new, where I can go to the web to find what I need?

    Thank you.

Hey well, good news! Before I decided to replace it, I thought that 'let me play with him' and open the computer and tried to get out.  Well, I got all the cancelled screws and plugs disconnected, but I couldn't drag him completely out of the slot, I tried several times without success.  He would slide approximately 1/2 in. and then stop.  So I gave up, he slipped into place, screwed it back in, plugged everything back in and voila, it works!  I don't know what was going on.  There was a strip of clear band they put on the machines when they send their, a thin strip through the logo Dell Isnpiron on top of the drive with a shot to the back corner, maybe the edge of the door that was contagious?  I pulled it off.  No matter what.  It works, thank the Lord.  But out of curiosity, how one removes this player?  I couldn't go out for the life of me.

FYI: I don't know if this means anything but I have a Dell Inspiron 620.

The other day I tried to burn a disc, something was wrong and the cd/dvd will not open. I used all of the stem to remove the CD. Now it says an error occurred while ejecting ' DVD RW drive (d). Whenever the CD/DVD cannot be purchased, it is longer practice of using the average pin hole. But this should be done when the computer is turned off as ejection outwardly replaces the internal control of the drive. Therefore, it is very likely that the problem arises.
    You can try this:
Restart the PC-> press F2 when you see the Dell logo-> control if the drive is displayed in the summary of the BIOS settings screen. If this is not present, contact Dell support - the drive must be replaced.
If it is present, try to press the eject button to see if the come out. If so, leave the BIOS settings, start Windows and check. The drivers will be installed by Windows in most of the cases, and if not, you can download it from Dell from the link mentioned by Manasa Sirahatti. In addition, if you use third-party programs to burn the disc, try to uninstall it and check. If it works, and then reinstall the program.
The problem will be solved in most cases, otherwise, the disc must be replaced.
