Dell XPS 15 Audio cracking network card

Hello

I get audio cracks, stuttering, delay on all programs, all the time, when I have my active wifi. I pin pointed the device using the DPC latency. I tried the update audio, video, and network drivers to the latest versions and roll back to the previous ones, no results. Any ideas, or do I just bring my laptop to the service center?

My laptop is Dell XPS 15 L502X, NIC Intel 1030 N.

well, disabled funtion Malware Bytes Antivirus Web site blocking, it seems ok now. Antivirus programs are crappier every day.

Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.

I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.

I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.

  • Dell XPS - crackling Audio

    Dell XPS M1530 laptop computer

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium 32-bit

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5550

I'm getting audio crackling and jump on my laptop speakers. Usually a reboot temporaraly solves the problem, but I would like to know if there is a permanent solution.

So far I tried to reinstall the audio drivers, but this made no difference.

I searched the forums for a while, most people seem to think that this is caused by pilots of conflicting devices.

Does anyone know if Dell has provided a fix for this problem?

  • Dell XPS Ultrabook 12 has network using WIFI connection problem after upgrade to Windows 10

I have a Dell laptop XPS Ultrabook 12 that worked fine on Windows 8.1. When Microsoft prompted me to sign up for upgrade to Windows 10, I hesitated, but finally, I signed up for it. In recent months, I have been asked several times upgraded to Windows 10 but I just ignored and delay the update as much as possible, because I need to work with the laptop and I can't afford to have problems after the upgrade.  To my horror, Microsoft forced an install of Windows 10 this morning without allowing me to delay and just after the upgrade, I can't connect to my existing network. I have therefore no access to the internet and I am currently typing this complaint using another PC. I noticed that the laptop can connect to the network automatically when I walk my router but the connection will last only a few minutes, and then he'd cut off. I tried to connect and the message I get is "unable to connect to this network. I checked with "ipconfig/all", wifi said media disconnected. I checked with the Dell support website and downloaded and installed a newer driver, but the problem persisted. Apparently the surf on the internet, this problem is faced with a number and any suggestions to fix do not work (after that I tried).

    Help, please.

You should be able to go back to 8.1 for Windows by following the instructions here:

  • Buy an another Dell XPS?

Let me start by saying two things from the start... I have been a loyal Dell product owner because I bought my first Dell in 2001 and I like desktop computers.  I've made several purchases since then which brings me to this question. In July I got a refund from Dell on a XPS 8700 I had to return after working with Technical Support Dell for 3 months trying to repair the computer and sends a technician to replace a few parts.  I would also like to clarify that the 8700 XPS is a desktop replacement that Dell sent me in December 2013 which had the same problem as that 8500 XPS.  So ask you... what was the problem... I'll try to explain. First turn off ' XPS began with 8 and then put WIndows to upgrade to Windows 8.1 so much she still had questions about both. Also on the technician of Dell XPS 8500 replaced hard drive card mother and graphics card AFTER all the "remote access" and the virsus scan and repair via the Support technique Dell among most of seas. Here is what computers were... first disable the 'charm' on Windows 8/8.1 do not assume upward when you move the mouse to the border again if you have tried to open the files they would not open. Also if I used Internet Explorer or Google Chrome/or Modzilla as my Web browser, I could go on my home page and click on what anyone, in this case that MSN.com is my home page and history would be "blink so to speak" and go back to my home page. If I tried to use one of my book marked Favorites he would do the same thing and if it didn't it would simply return a blank white page.  Initially, Dell thought that my browsers have been diverted... but continued to reinstall and reload the operating system and run analyses virsus have no chance. Then they tried to check my router and my internet provider modem cable to see if they were questions.  It didn't matter if I'm connected wireless or ethernet, that I always had the same problem.  What makes it worse is THIS computer Im on now works with them all the time that I lived this nightmare. This brings me where I am now. I'm strugglingly really hard to buy an another Dell XPS, especially after the nightmare of 11 months, I just went through on the previous two.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Volsdude,

You should repost this in the forum Office for advice on the XPS.

  • Audio not working Dell XPS 720 H2C with Windows 7

Buy a Dell XPS 720 H2C with XP in 2008. Last week made a new installation to upgrade to Windows 7 (made by Micro Center). Have tried to get help through Dell... a lost... cause the last time I buy Dell. The audio card is a card OEM, "Driver Creative Labs Sound Blaster X - Fi XtremeMusic (D). Everything else seems to work very well. Diagnosis of device driver shows that everything is OK.

Any ideas where to go from here?

Answer was not helpful, but I appreciate the effort. Found the second site was a bit Advanced for me but looked interesting enough to sue later. Finally chased the problem to map its; called Dell and ordered a replacement. Let's see if that fixes the problem.

  • Network card and Dell Dimension 4550 (533MhzFSB)

The geniuses out there know if its possible to install a wireless network card full to a desktop Dell Dimension 4550? Or would a Wireless N USB network adapter will work better? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Rather than having to connect to a modem and all that fun jazz.

I don't know what you mean by a "full" wireless network card, but if you can install an adapter wireless integrated (as one of THEM), depends on whether you have an empty expansion slot (and what kind of accommodation).  You can either open the case and look; Read the documentation that came with your computer; or go HERE and enter your service tag (you will need to use Internet Explorer, if you want to try the 'Analyzer' online to detect your current configuration.

My suggestion, however, would be to go with a USB wireless adapter, one who has a fairly long USB cable preference so that you can get out the antenna located between the back of the computer and the wall.  Following the same reasoning, if you decide to use an internal adapter, try to find one with a removable antenna, so that you will be able to get an extension of antenna and put the antenna in a place better than behind the computer.

Be aware that if you get a N (internal or external) wireless adapter, you won't get a flow and speed wireless-N if you connect to a Wireless N router/access point.

  • "Dell WLAN Network Card" has stopped working

Windows gives me a message that "Dell WLAN Network Card" has stopped working. It is a common problem and is there a solution?

PS: Is alternative medium n to go to the uninstall step (your step 2)? I don't have the "Run" command in the start menu. It is a Dell laptop, Inspiron with Windows Vista Home version.

    Thank you

If you have a key of Windows on your keyboard, press Windows + R

Otherwise, right click on start > properties > customize > Advanced tab > scroll down to the list of "items on the start menu" until you get on 'Run' > check the box "Run" and OK your way out.

If you use the "Start menu classic", it is not "Advanced" tab and the check box command run figure in the list 'Advanced options from the start menu.

  • Vista doesn't detect sound card on Dell XPS

I have a Dell XPS under Vista 32-bit, recently updated for XP. Vista does not recognize the card his (Creative Audigy) at all - I can't install the drivers, and that it appears in the device as a generic multimedia device manager.

    Hi hugbug,.

Please see the following link for the Dell Web site, you should be able to manually choose your machine and your operating system:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&CS=19&l=en&s=DHS

If not, then you will need to contact Dell support directly as it is their responsibility to provide drivers for their devices.

    I hope this helps!

  • Del XPS 13 no audio device

Hello, I have a Dell XPS 13 and today it detects no audio.

The "speaker" icon appears with a red x.

And in the audio devices and devices Records, it shows that it is not any kind of device.

Also in the control panel > devices shows that it cannot load the driver "Intel high Definition Audio.

I've already updated the update dell drivers drivers page www.dell.com/.../drivers

My mother has the same exact specifications and had the same problem since the last update of Windows. We've tried everything, download the drivers with Dell system detects, manually get the drivers from Realtek, nothing helps.

We also had the "Intel High Definition Audio" in the device under 'Other devices' Manager as OP.

What I tried, and surprisingly, what worked for me is as follows:

    1. right click on the Intel High Definition Audio device.

    2. Select "update driver software... »

    3. browse my computer...

    4. just choose from a list...

    5. something like 'Show all manufacturers' (top option in the list, can't exactly remember what she said and I can't do this again now).

    6. then, in the list on the left, select Realtek

    7. Select Manager Realtek HD Audio on the right (the version of January 2016) and install it.

    8. in the installation, you should already see the volume with the red cross icon, changing to normal volume icon :-)

  • Looking to update the graphics card in my Dell XPS 8900 EVGA GeForce GTX 960.

I have a Dell XPS 8900 Special Edition that I bought a few months ago. I want to upgrade the OEM GeForce 745 of GTX that it came with an EVGA GTX 960.

I have the Dell XPS 8900 (processor i7 - 6700 k), 32 GB of memory, 2 TB HDD + SSD of 32 GB m2, monitor cache Dell UP2516D and Windows 10 Pro. I'll add a second monitor Dell UP2516D soon and later add an SSD and move the OS and applications on.

My needs are not at stake. I mainly business applications (MS-Office, including access and project), finance and investment, and a lot of photo and video editing.  Photo editing software uses the GPU if I update.

EVGA has suggested either of the following, based on what would be good:

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=04G-P4-1961-KR

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=04G-P4-3963-KR

    These cards are almost identical except;

    #1 is long of 6.8 ", has 1 BIOS, 1 fan and use 128 watts for $160

#2 is 10.1 "long, has 2 BIOS, 2 fans and consume 160 watts for $170

I thought I would replace the graphics card myself, but once I opened the folder, I was wondering if the two cards will even fit.  I saw that other people have swapped their graphics card, so it must be possible.

When I look in my case, the existing graphics card is a single location.  These two cards are double slot.  In addition, it seems that there are a few transistors just next to the existing card.  When you install a card double slot, the new map is just overlap the transistors under?

Finally, in view of these two cards and the XPS 8900 case, is it possible to put the card in?  Is it worth the extra $ 10 earn an extra BIOS and fan, to the detriment of one more card of time and 12 watts?

Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Dual cards fit without any problem. Many have improved their 8900 XPS and 8700 with cards that need two slots of width.

I prefer the models dual fan as they run cooler. They have a bigger heat sink and with relatively low heat from GTX 960, some are silent at idle because the fans do not work.

For example, MSI GTX 970 son fan only above a certain temp that only happens every game. Maybe the EVGA card did the same thing. It is nice to have a quiet system at idle.

Regarding the adjustment, the MSI GTX 970 games 4 G card Dimensions are (mm) 140 x 277 x 35. Length and height are tight but it fits without cutting.

In addition, as noted speedstep you run SATA cables under the card. I replaced the SATA cables with longer cables, so they route toward the front of the box, then under the graphics card and upward.

This thread has many cards different people have added. (the link is on page 26) and about the halfway point is my son with the MSI GTX 970 system, which (I think) is slightly larger that the EVGA 960 you listed.  It also shows the case mod to add a front fan.

Maybe not. There seems to be some compatibility issues with Nvidia.

A Radeon 7950 and corsair CS850M would be perhaps in order.

  • Dell XPS 9530 - Games using integrated instead of GeForce card

    Hello

I have a new Dell XPS 9530 with integrated graphics Intel 4600 and GeForce GT 750 M. 8.1 Windows media center, 64-bit.

When I start a more demanding game I get good performance for a few minutes and then it comes down to something like 10 frames per second. After leaving the game, I can see this blue icon in the system tray representing the Intel graphics. That's how I came to a hypothesis that the Intel card is used in the games.

In NVIDIA Control Panel, I put "processor NVIDIA high performance" as a favorite graphic processor, but it has not changed a thing. I have the latest drivers and up-to-date experience of NVIDIA for the last.

It's rather disappointing to have a good material but not being is not able to use it.

Does anyone have an idea how to apply Windows to use the GeForce card in the games instead of the Intel low one?

My XPS 15 is presented a few weeks ago.

I had problems of limitation.  Games would be solid for 10 minutes and then slide down to 10-20 fps.

I found a solution that works for me, however.

I use NVidia Inspector to limit the framerate at 30 frames per second.  Now, it runs at 30 fps for hours, instead of 60 frames per second for 10 minutes then 10 frames per second.  http://www.Guru3D.com/files_details/nvidia_inspector_download.html

Even require as the MWO and citizen of Star games run perfectly at solid 30 fps for hours without limitation.

Hope that helps.  Would be even better if Dell put in a cooling sufficient in these things, however.  Of course, the GPU is much more capable that allows cooling.
