  I used the command line (Administrator) and has been able to use xcopy to copy the locked files on my external hard drive on drive c.  Now they are all unlocked.

  Have you tried to use a distinct and 3rd party FTP client? If you can successfully connect and download to aid what he would suggest process FTP of Dreamweaver is messed up.   It seems that you are taking the role of FabDesktopWebUsers in the computers folder of office.

  It is not listed, but I guess that this role is not the privilege of "Move VirtualMachine.Inventory.Move".

  And AFAIK vSphere using the principle of least privilege, in other words, if you are a member of the groups of 2, you will have the most restrictive privilege.

  Can you try to remove your account from the principal (security FAB\DL_VM_VI... Group)?

  This problem has been resolved.

  The book of Z 17 HP installed their software: HP Client Security.

  This software prevents the use of external hard drives and flash drives in its default settings.

  Each customer is on their own in discoverinv and the resolution of this problem.

  Here's a consumer might encounter problems:

  The HP support assistant on Z book provides updates of drivers for windows, but the support phone number book mobile z is not listed.  There is a phone number, but it is a regular support, not z book mobile support or elite support.  Mobile Z book users are supposed to call the number fo elite press and the number is for a regular support on the wizard of book z mobile support.  Support assistant has cat support method and the HP chat support is not trained to book support z mobile.  There is a feature to contact the technical support and the transfer of data to the technician, and again, it goes to regular support who is not trained to support the mobile z book.  If you call the phone number provided some of the choices on the automated line includes desktop, laptop and office work.  If you choose Notepad you won't get z mobile workstation support.  If you choose work center you will get no support of z book mobile workstation.  Instead, you must have someone answer and then ask to be redirect to support elite.  On the first call, you never know that the support you are looking for is elite support until they give you this information on the next contact.

  After many hours spent barely pull on the problems of not being able to view files on an external hard drive or external dirve flash, I was able to change this HP software.  It now unfortunately produces a humming noise when parts of it are displayed.  This has not yet been set.

  Hope this helps all who are unable to view the files on their external hard drives and external flash drives.

  The thin client HP security prevents click right change of ownership and prevent changes, right-click in the security, etc..  Change of Director fails also as the client security administrator HP overides too.

  So end users must change the HP Thin Client Security so that it does not block access to files on external hard drives or flash drives.

  a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

  b. Type X: (for the card reader drive letter) and press enter

  c. at the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

  Now, type chkdsk/r

  Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area. You can save the data on the disk before you perform a checkdisk.

  Hello. I was change the permissions of users to some other accounts, and the only thing I can think is that I accidentally changed the permissions of the administrator account. I can no longer anything that requires access privileges and that you do not have any idea what to do to reinstall windows.

  Your case might fall into two scenarios: either you are not able to log - on the administrative account at all or the other case would be that you are able to log-in on your administrator account, but when you try to access any file using this administrator account, and then you are given the message 'access denied '. Don't worry, if yours is the second case, you would be able to access all your files similar both before reinstalling Windows.

  If the first case is true where you cannot connect to one of your account administrator, then you need to reinstall windows from scratch.

  If the latter is true, when you are able to log-in to your administrator account, but you are denied permission to access this item, you can consult this section to take control of your PC files:

  1.) move to the location where your files are stored on your PC that you are given the messsage like "Access Denied" year select any file folder orr.

  2.) now, when right click that file, select Properties , then go to the Security tab, and then click the Advanced button in the bottom - another windows will open with all the top labels.

  3.) first, click on -> Permissions tab click on continue (if permission is requested, then click continue)-> pass to add-> Advanced-> click on search now-> select your administrator username in the drop-down list & then click OK twice.

  4.) another window opens. Click the Allow button (for all) and click OK twice.

  5.) then click on the owner tab and clicking on Edit tab change the owner of "XYZ" (-is your name account with administrative rights)-> click OK twice (or three times) to move close all the properties.

  You would now be able to access files and folders FRO who were denied you permission before.

  There are two parts to this question... Here's the first:

  I have a file named aux.class that I extracted my Minecraft.jar file. When I try to delete it, I get the message saying that I am not authorized to perform this option. So naturally, I'm going to the properties of the file and tap the Security tab. It then displays "you may not to view or edit the permissions of the object settings. This is obviously false, because I'm the administrator of this computer and there is no other account on this computer. What gives? Why can't I delete this stupid file?

  Secondly, I've read all the files named ' to THE ' cannot be created or deleted in Windows. If this is the case, why that file was allowed to be extracted and created? Is it possible to delete? When I tried to remove it BEFORE as I denied permission, if said something like "the file is too large for the destination file system. It's too crazy, I have ENOUGH free space on my C drive, and why must this same material, as just trying to delete it?

  Please help me out here, because it's seriously getting on my nerves and I almost tried everything.

• How to use cacls to deny a specific user

  I have forgotten how to use cacls since I always use the GUI. However, I got a file with plans for a surprise party in the public record that I realized I didn't tell user to see. I was coordinating with someone else, who use the same computer, hence the need to be in the public record. Says the person was using the computer when I realized this, so I grabbed my laptop and use telnet to connect (try to use the remote desktop on Windows Professional will start the person at the keyboard, unlike Windows Server and I wanted to be discreet). Telnet being limited to the command line, I had to use these tools. I typed the following command:
  Cacls /?
  and then typed
  Cacls filename /d username

  Yet when I tired to access the file later, I found that all security clearances had been wiped out and the only thing there was the user I wanted to deny with a refusal. In fact, even the admin account has been denied permission until I took possession.

  I wanted to let all other permissions alone and just add a deny for the specific user. Previously, he had the same permissions that created everything in the public folder. What I did wrong and what should I do?

  Instead of modify the permission list, you (deleted) has replaced it (that's why you prompt the warning "are you sure?". When you are finished, there is no user in the access list. The /e switch that would have prevented from happening.

  I tried the folder properties-> Security-> advanced and tried to change their owner, who is giving me the error message in the title of the topic.  I also tried the folder-> sharing-> advanced sharing properties and select "Share this folder", but get an access is denied error.
  Can someone help me?

  I had already tried your suggestion without success, I saw in another forum somewhere.
  However, I managed to solve the problem of windows in SafeMode via msconfig startup.  This gave me access to the file, and security settings showed that it was owned by the deleted user's profile.  I deleted this user of all files and restarted in normal mode and the problem was solved.
