  This problem has been resolved.

  The problem has been resolved by:

  I see that this problem is old enough but you (or others) may have problems with it. Here's what I did:
  -Got to your hard drive and right click on the folder that is causing all the trouble.
  -Click on properties.
  -Click on the Security tab
  -Then click on advanced
  -You will see a window with a few user names. Now click on owner in the tabs above.
  -Click on edit, then select the user name you want to open the folder and don't forget to tick the box that says "Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects", then click on apply.
  A pop will come which says something like "You have replaced the property for the selected records" or something in this way. It worked for me and I hope this post is helpful for some people.

  I went my users folder and tried to set the permissions again.

  I have 4 users or group names

  System

  Individuals ([username] - PC\HomeUsers)

  Administrators ([username] - PC\Administrators)

  When I wnet in the advanced on ther Security tab my 'home ([username] - PC\HomeUsers) users' group had special permits. I selected it and then click on change permissions. Another very similar screen came. I have selected the Group of users of home again and press Edit I selected a full control. All the checkboxes selected themselves. I hit OK, and then click apply. A box appeared that set permissions. I have several errors telling me that permission could not be set. I kept acknowleding and continues. Once the lock on my users folder disappeared. But iTunes still does not work.

When I upgraded to Windows 7 to Windows 8 I noticed that I get the error message "you do not have permission to access this folder." When I try to open one of the folders more large size.   This issue may be caused if you are using the proxy settings, incorrect settings or store waiting for update needs to be installed on your computer. I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

  Step 1:
