  I'm trying to convince my administrative staff to allow me to create J2EE applications. We currently have a campus wide license. We have learned by sales to deploy a JDeveloper 11g, would need us a WebLogic Server license. For now, we don't have the budget for the purchase of this license. Is it possible to deploy a 11g JDeveloper asks a WebLogic-no server? If so, is there a white paper to set up the server?

  Currently, we support only officially 11g ADF for WebLogic deployment.
  There is at least one report of a person running this on Tomcat here:
  JDev 11.1.1.1.0 BC4J ADF + application on Tomcat6
  Note that this will require you to have a license to run ADF however.

  I am integrating EBS and ADF through sharing of session ICX. Navigate from EBS page by page of ADF custom application. but whenever I get session as GUEST (VALID_GUEST), even if I give credentials valid at the EBS system. I should get a valid session that I have connected with a valid user. As it it a VALID_GUEST that the status of cookie icx, back (he got newspapers/debug) and I am.  Comparing with status cookie VALID icx, so every time system opens the Apps login page.  I used fndext.jar to do this. Please help me on this. I'm not sure it's a problem with DB/EBS EBS system, or the code of the adf. My code spruce is given below.

• How to recover customizations for custom Applications

  We are accustomed to deveolped OAF Pages and those who are enrolled in the responsibilities of custom Application.
  
  Now when we do customizations on these pages OFA custom personalization documents are not generated.
  
  Functional administrator of navigation-> personalization-> Import/Export
  
  as I enter the Application name XXAPL Custom Application and click go it throws error

  can anyone suggest why the customization documents are not seen where exactly these documents are generated

  That is a sensitive issue.

  If the application has crashed and you did not have a try catch around the piece of code that failed, then the Application will usually write a number of entries in the event log.  The only way to get these entries is to ask the user to open the event log and find them.  It's not trivial.  Even opening the event log can be tricky let along find the entries.  This isn't something that will generally ask you a user to do.

  Unfortunately it also isn't one place, you can put a try/catch to intercept all errors.

  But it is also not something that happens very often in my experience.  Therefore, if you try to put try/catch around pieces of code that you are worried and make sure that you connect you progress through your app, you should capture most of the things.  And if you connect to RuntimeStore and your application crashes, when the application restarts the journal since just before the crash will be there and the user can easily send you, so I hope that can help you to find the defective area.

  I have a custom database table.
  I have a custom database view that has the query of multiple tables, including the table above.
  Table customized in the view is joined with other tables of columns like inventory_item_id, organization_id etc.
  
  I need to show the user a screen where the results of this view are shown in a table.
  The user must be able to enter data in the form for these lines.
  (it will be able to enter data only for my custom table fields)
  
  When there press the button Save, we should start the new data given by the user in the custom table
  as well as some other values of rows in view... like inventory_item_id, organization_id etc...
  
  Can you suggest a better approach to achieve this?
  
  I have to use BC4J model and ADF for the user interface.
  
  As far as my knowledge goes, I think that we will not be able to do this with editable views since we could hit the error
  ORA-01779: cannot modify a column that is mapped to a table not preserved key
  
  Is there a design pattern, that we can follow in BC4J then that is possible?

  Any view can be changed if you write instead of triggers for it. Maybe it's a good solution for you. You can also base a View object on more than an entity object, and as long as there are good associations between the EOs it should work fine.

  It depends on your knowledge of jsp and the possible controllers like struts, the faces and the adf (which is an addon of jsf). ADF has the advantage that a large number of configurations and other stuff is handled for you. However, if you are familiar with Struts you can use it too.

  The decision also depends on demand and what he should do. I can't comment on this, as I don't know.

  As you use 12 c my recommendation is to use the stack complete adf, meaning adf faces and adfbc for access to the data in the Database.

  There is a license for the adf if you want to deploy on a WebLogic Server, however there is a free version (adf essentials) that uses a GlassFish server.

  Whatever the application is installed and being ran is what this message refers.  Not a native application in Windows Vista.  Whatever this '3 connect' is...  Try to run it and find the settings through a menu or right click.

  Hi, I'm just starting to work on the development of BB and I'm having a problem with deployment/installation of applications on a Storm 2.  When my own app could not load I've compiled some of the demos provided with the JDK and have the same problem with them.

  Cases in the sample:

  I have compiled the accelerometer demo (and the bitmap demo) without error, using plug-in in Eclipse.  Then I try to install either software version 6 Desktop application and receive the following error message, "there was an error importing files.  No additional files are located.  "Your file may contain applications that already exist in the list of applications, are not compatible for your device or errors.

  I know it compiled without errors, do not know if these demos are compatible with my camera, and I know that they are not already installed.  Also, I change the paths of any file or folder when they were packed oringinal.

  I hope it's an easy issue and miss me just something obvious.  Thanks in advance.
