Deployment of RPD and catalog

I installed OBIEE. I have already received RPD, the catalogue and the following files-
test_en. DLF

anyone can guide me please on the deployment of these components to OBIEE?

Hi guys,.
We have 2 servers of OBIEE Server a (v11.1.1.6.x) and Server B (v11.1.1.7.x)
All developments to date had been made on a server and on the Bill of lading, we want to pass to the server B.
Please let me know the process for the same thing.
As far as my knowledge goes RPD A server version is 318 and the server B 325. Then, how to place the RPD to use it with Server B?

Please find below the suggestion that helped me and that I was looking for...

Take your SPR of A of machine and tool of administration on computer B and open your RPD. Once opened, save it to the desktop on your computer. Now you'll V325 RPD. Deploy this RPD to Server B.

For the catalog, simply move your catalog to the Machine B and restart all services...

Once that is done, go in the Administration tab in the presentation services and do analyse and update catalog objects... Which will improve your reports to 11.1.1.7.

Its best to keep the back of your g 10 files since they are the source.

In light of the link they mentioned about RPD target loc in 11 g.

We have a project to upgrade of OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 to 11.1.1.6.0. Installation of OBIEE is on RHEL 5.8 x 86-64 server. I have the following questions, this upgrade reagarding.

(1) can I put the RPD and the catalog directly from 10.1.3.4.1 at 11.1.1.6.0 or
(2) what I need to upgrade the RPD and catalogue of 10.1.3.4.1 to an intermediate version of OBIEE 11 g SAY (11.1.1.5.0) and then update to 11.1.1.6.0?

The answers are appreciated.

Catproc.SQL and Catalog.sql run by mistake in the production database while the database is running.

DB version: 10.2.0.4.0 cluster db. EA
Version of the OS: Win server 2008
by mistake one of our dba ran CATPROC.sql and CATALOG.sql scripts in our live production rac database.
After that issues rose and developers face invalid objects. We erased our users manually main invalid objects and it looks like everything is working well for the moment.
BUT when I checked object invalid status, he showed me some 600 disabled objects. I'm afraid in the future will come from unacceptable errors.
What should do? any suggestions? are we in danger? What are workarounds.

Your target is the database that you are backing up, and in the case of a duplicate database, it would be the source database. Example below is when I connect to the target database, which is what I want to save (note that below I sign in using the catalog in which case we'll use the controlfile and no catalog).

The auxiliary database is the database which, in the case of a duplicate database, the database that you duplicate would be. So, for example, that if you configure a database ensure using the duplicate database (and maybe double active database database) the main database would be the target and the database pending would be the auxiliary.

The catalog database is when you use a RMAN catalog instead of using the control file... Note below to specify the catalog when you connect and it says 'connected to the datalog retrieval database' once you have connected that he did not in the example above when you signed in using the control file. In this case, the rman information is stored in the control as well as the datalog database file. (Control NB file is always the primary source").

There are several reasons why a catalogue database is used... for example:

(1) it can store scripts.

(2) you have a central repository for all of your databases.

(3) you are not limited as to how long you can store your backup information. Thie is determined by the controlfile_record_keep_time parameter when you use the controlfile and you type can be set quite high but then your controlfile can grow quite large as well.

You opened an empty catalog.

You can try the following two steps to open the appropriate catalog file.
1. Use the file-> open recent, open the list of all catalogs
2. If this does not work, you will need to find the appropriate help for your operating system catalog file and double-click it to open it.

I am using oracle 10g recently that I managed two files catproc.sql and catalog files by connecting to sys

After running these files in sys when I select

Select * from tab;

no lines have been returned
(1) these files will show any eeect on database
(2) to Toad when I connect to the Toad for data base is to show all the user sys tables
will there be an effect of the execution of these files
After running these scripts, you will need to create spfile from pfile and the startup pfile from this file file

is incorrect. Catproc.sql and Catalog.SQL don't change the values of instance parameter. The instance parameter files are useless to be recreated.

How - move cover ACR and hiding of LR and catalog

Hi all
in the test type speeding things up a bit with my LR (v. 2.4 64 bit on Vista 64 SP2, E8650 proc and 8 GB of RAM), I got a 2nd hand WD Raptor 150 GB 10 K rpm, and I would move there cache ACR (about 60 GB now) and previews from LR and catalogs (about 20 GB). Which is the right and safe to do so! :-)
Another question: my setting on the handling of file is the following:
- 1680 pixels as standard preview the file size
- Get an overview of average quality
- Never throw size 1:1 Preview
and mode grid (library) when I page down or upwards... I still have the 3 white dots (of waiting) all the pictures taken in 3-4 seconds go from blurry to sharp. How can I improve this day there?

There's nothing you can do to change the time as thumbnails for refresh. The blur is normal while the three points are visible and indicates that Lr scans the files within the grid of external metadata or changes.

To move the folder catalog and preview, you just drag (copy) to the new disk, open the moved folder, and double-click the .lrcat (catalog) file. The operation of double click Open Lightroom with the active remote catalog.

You can drag the cache file of the cab on the new drive. However, to ensure use Lightroom / Camera Raw correct hides ACR you'll need to open preferences > file management and point to the location that you want the cache files to be saved.

Be aware that moving above folder is going to take some time, although significantly less than rebuild the cache and previews from scratch.

Does not illuminate VAPP deployed to the public catalog

I created a Public catalogue and exported a file to ovf Nexus 1000v in this catalogue. Since it's Public catalogue it has the rights to publish this catalogue to all organizations.
I have an organization named "developers". This organization is able to refer to the public catalog and deploy a new TIME of it. I see on vCenter new VAPP appearing under the pool of developer resources. But this TIME lighting fails with the error message below
"The operation could not be performed because the argument is not valid. A specified parameter was not correct.

I assigned 5 GB of RAM to my org vDC and I use 'Booking Pool' allocation model. I also tried giving them 1 GB, 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM to this Nexus1k TIME at the time of the deployment of the catalog, but every time I get the same error.

Problem is with your catalog here.

Nexus is suppose to work with vcloud Director in parallel integration. do not deploy inside like a paralytic. And NExus have its own requirement that interact with the dvswitch. I will propose you can deploy some other TIME like windows/linux and see if it works.

OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 Cluster - unable to deploy the RPD on Node1 (node2 works very well)

We found a problem after the upgrade of our Cluster OBIEE of 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.7.1. The system works as expected and all operational services. However, we discovered a problem with the Fusion Middleware control.

When you deploy a new version of the RPD file, the system copies the RPD to:

-Ocfs folder shared (for example: < Filename > 0028.rpd.000001) as expected

(- Node2 RPD file < OBI_INSTANCE > / bifoundation/OracleBIServerComponent/coreapplication_obis1/repository) as expected

2 problems that happened during the deployment process:

(- It has NOT copied in the folder of prd Node1 < OBI_INSTANCE > / bifoundation/OracleBIServerComponent/coreapplication_obis1/deposit)

-In addition, it has not changed on the NQSConfig.INI with the new version of the RPD (Star = PROD_BI0027.rpd, default value);.

As a result, the RPD on Node1 is out of sync. Only Node2 integrates the latest version of the RPD. Everything worked fine before the upgrade process.

We have seem some newspapers being generated on the BI system when this problem happened. We upload files to this SR for your appreciation. Some errors are related to the:
