• overloaded with radio - good design of GUI buttons?

  I don't know where else to ask this question. What do you think on overload of radio buttons with multiple functions? I did an update of my interactive color wheel that uses this technique. I isn't out yet, but it is available here:

  It offers eight different kinds of 1567 colors and their names. Who seemed much too much radio buttons; Initially, there are three kinds and three buttons. I did a second row that contains the five kinds of new accessible via two buttons. Sorts on each button are closely related, riffs on a theme if you want. Successive clicks on one of these two buttons will turn with its functions, with the text of the button and the tooltip updated to match his current fate and the State.

  Yes, it's the former (pre - jdk 1.3) keybinding - not sure how good or bad that is supposed to work. New style (since JDK 1.3) is to install some keybindings shared in the entry level card superior ancestor, as

• Design of GUI/Graphics in Flash Builder

  In Flash Pro, you can make different screens for your app (IE menu principal, options) and separate them into different "clips". Exactly how can I do a complex GUI and store it in Flash Builder? Wouldn't be bad practice to separate each screen in its own class that extends MovieClip? Then add one to the scene and remove and add another when the screen must be turned on? Or just visibilities of swap?

  visibilitys swaping is a good idea as long as it is no animation running, enter frames or timers that interact with hidden clips. and use the visibility and no alpha. alpha clips are calculated, even when they are 'invisible '.

  in the sense of ease, the 'best' is to implement your structure of movieclip in flash, export it as a SWC library and import it into you project in flash builder. don't ask me how this works, I don't use flash or flash builder. just Flash develop.

• How to create a filter by using the function of transfer mathscript in labview

  I am currently designing a filter in labview using a Mathscript loop. The filter can be represented in the transfer function. I have attached the equation of transfer as well as its value function and the desire of graphic amplitude vs. frequency should I got to it. Also, here is the transfer function written in Matlab.

  I also change the encoding as Labview Mathscript does not support Matlab coding "tf" as function of transfer to "bilinear".

  I am facing problem to are:

  (1) cannot display the graph of the labvie filter.

  (2) cannot have sinewave as an entry in the filter.

  (3) the output can not be display in graphical form.

  Student MI... so I'm new to LabVIEW... so I use LabVIEW 8.6 and NEITHER cDAQ-9178 for the connection between the material... and my PC... now, I have final project... I have to design digital oscilloscope using labview, but I have several problem...

• How can I check the addons allowed / tool boxes installed in the LabVIEW environment controls palette?

  Hi all

  I allowed for students to install the version of LABVIEW. I'm new to the LabVIEW.
  I installed license Toolkit LabVIEW Digital Filter Design in my laptop. But I can't find the options of digital filter in treatment of the signal from the controls palette. Its not there despite the installation. I checked in the license OR Manager he said toolkit Digital filter design has been enabled for this computer.
  Can someone please help locate specific digital filter of this Toolbox options? How can I check the functions in the range control to the Toolbox, I installed?

  LabVIEW 2014 32-bit, he will find-> design of digital filters signal processing.

  Is this just a VI LabVIEW implemented as a step of TestStand? If yes associate you controls and indicators to the connector pane in the upper-right corner of the LabVIEW vi? (index right click the icon and select Show the connector pane)

  What is a LabVIEW to Interface to operator TestStand implimentation? If if look at the examples in file for Simple Interface operator of LabVIEW TestStand.

  How the C++ code export data?  If we know, and it is compatible with LabVIEW, we can try and get in.  However, because the C++ code is an executable, if it is not designed to export data LabVIEW can receive then we cannot change this option to add functionality and used unfortunately there be a way to do this without the source code.

• Sequence of a good idea?

  After the search and read a few posts from forums, I understand using the sequence is probably not the best idea?

  I wanted to get some advice on the best way to address my problem.

  What I want to do:

  I intend to use the van der Pauw method and the hall effect to experimentally determine various parameters for a small sample of semiconductors.

  Right now, it's a lot of your time to make all of the BNC connections required by the hand that in all the totals to 24 or 48 connections to make.

  To speed up the process, I want to use Labview to control a microcontroller to control transistors which controls of the Tower relays who make the required connections. At the same time after each series of necessary connections have been made, a current source controlled by Labview must provide the necessary current, a voltmeter to read voltage. A total of six different sets of four connections to perform and voltage read for all six groups. This must be done twice, but since the equipment creating the magnetic field is controlled manually, I can just run the program twice.

  Recently, I learned how to control an arduino using labview and how to control the power source and the voltmeter using labview as well.

  So here's the sequence that labview should send orders:

  Digital I/o using 6-pin on arduino

  1. initially, all pins are attached below.

  2. first pin set high, while the rest remains low. This option turns on a transistor making it the first series of connections.

  3. the current source is turned on and provides a specified amount of current to the sample.

  4 voltmeter measures the induced voltage and stores this as a double or be it in something like a table.

  5 current source turns off.

  6. second pin on arduino set high, while the rest low and steps 3 through 5 are repeated until all 6 pressure measurements were recorded.

  7. the 6 measures must be exported to excel the file or Notepad or other.

  8. the same data could be transmitted to something like a different tab in the same program to perform the calculations to find the semiconductor, parameters of the sample.

  So now my question on the best way to do these things. I was looking through labview and found what is called a sequence of flat, but according to the forums it's supposed to be frowned upon.

  My other thoughts using some kind of combination of loops/case, but I'm not sure how to structure and what should be included or excluded from the loop. Other thoughts are maybe a timed structure. Another possibility is to create 6 different vi and calling it one by one.

  So basically the program run, and once completed, I need for each measure 6 voltage, preferably displayed in both a table and saved in excel/Notepad.

  A state machine with these 8 States (and perhaps some assistance States: idle, stop, start, error, etc..).

  Basically a while loop with a case structure (one case for each State) and a State (e.g., enum) variable in a passage that. Look at the design templates provided with LabVIEW.

  (A flat sequence is too rigid for this. What happens if an error occurs in the #5 State? It has no way to go to a State of emergency. What happens if you want to stop in the Middle? What If a State fails and must be repeated.)

  How can I make a sequence runs every 1 s while that continue to run any code at the same time.

  for example: a ligth will Flash with a frequency of 1 s. This must be done independently of any other code running at the same time.

  I really was trying a lot of time without success. 'wait' does not work, "wait" not either or not event struct or anything other work out for that... Well, I was thinking "simple" question

  Could someone give me a tip or even a code example? Please note that in my question I want to only run only a flashing LED. Lets say, I want to receive updates via rs232 Board, but only every 10 seconds. During this time, I want to run any code.

  Background information:

  For 2 months I am programming a GUI with LabView, which gives me the ability to control via rs232 interface instruments. Up to now I understood a lot of LabView by myself, but here I'm stuck me :-/

  'wait (ms)' or ' wait until... ". "should never be used for timing, they are used for the loop iteration and synchronize the process loop. Use the other functions of timing as past timer or the number of cycles...

  I am facing a weird problem with a sequence of a fact.

  This sequence is used to describe a new file in sequence according to the data in a database. This sequence works perfectly well.

  When I run only call the callback MainSequence (no processmodel), it runs in 3 seconds.

  Then it is included in my process model (model parallel process) which will be launched just before the recall of the main sequence in each testsocket. There, he runs in # 27 seconds!

  I then tried to use the process template plug-ins, so I did an add-on and called this sequence (seqcall MainSequence in Scripter.seq-online code is in its own file) in ModelPlugin - PreUUT. Same result, #27 seconds!

  As my development belongs to a TS GUI in LabVIEW I inserted PostUIMessage steps in the following order to determine what takes longer to run.

  It seems that it is the piece of code that sets the values of the newly created seqcalls (sometimes more than 1.5 seconds for this)! (see attached sequence, the main group stage only;) Installation step group contains a step previous just to give a 'context' to what's going on here).

  Do - this code is:

  • Create a new sequence in a sequence file (installation)
  • Get a list of variables (table of container containing the search string, the value and the type of a vraiable) from my database (another part of the code)
  • Create and initialize the value of the parameters in this new sequence according to the list of variables (group stage hand; lasts a long time!)

  Any idea on what is happening here? How can I expedite everything?

  
  

• Use a VI (with interface) in another DLL program

  Good afternoon

  I have a problem that I can't solve at all. I have a understoodable VI. It works fine. I can do a dll of this VI. And I want to call this dll in another program. The problem is, I have to wrap the dll with VS 2003 C++ to run in Digital Micrograph. When I call the dll, I can not control it since I can't access the GUI of Labview. Is there a way to export the graphic front panel in another software based on a dll?
