DeskJet 1510 - Force print 300 dpi?

Hello

I have a specific requirement to print at 300 dpi. We have a Deskjet 1510 that I intend to use to do this, however the print quality of advanced options setting is "informative" and seems to only print at any DPI are provided by the application that originated the print job. I tried to define quality in project mode, but appears not to have had any effect.

Is there an entry registry or by setting the somewhere (or with use of a specific driver) by default all print at 300 DPI only?

Thank you

Hey @warmecha,

I'm sorry to hear that the other pilot fails to print through the RDP session. I thought that we would finally get to go for you. These things can sometimes be stubborn.

Regarding the other HP printers that can do specifically 300 dpi, I made a few inquiries and found 2 models that can suite your needs.

First, I looked into products that had only a 300-dpi option, and unfortunately no printer have this basic capability.

Instead, I found two printers that appear to match or be very close to the Deskjet 2000 capacity.

HP Deskjet 2000 printer Specifications

1 printer: printer Deskjet 1010

2 printer: printer all-in-one Deskjet 2540

I hope this information helps. It has been a pleasure to work with you.

  • HP Deskjet 1510: Duplex printing problem - an odd number of pages only

If I print something with 8 or 12 pages or whatever (numbers) everything works perfectly.

For odd numbers of 9 or 15, or whether, it becomes a bit like a random number generator. Page 1 is ok, but the rear where need to go 2 can be empty, could be page 4. The last page prints on the last page which must be empty.

If I have a 9 page document that I can choose pages 1-8 and then separately just print 9 and it works well.

I see you have some problems with the printing of your Windows Vista computer to your Deskjet 1510. Now, a printer only prints what the computer told him to print, but I can help you find the problem on your PC.

    4. Right click on the image to the printer.

    8. If the printer does not appear in this window after you turn on the printer and wait a few minutes and then click Add a printer up.
    9. Follow the prompts to add the printer to the back.

  • HP Deskjet 1510 - Wont print in XP

    Hello

I'm trying to set up a printer on an XP machine 1510. I tried again and again to get it going, but nothing works.

In the current attempt, I installed base from the HP Web site drivers, the drivers are installed correctly and XP can see the printer, this is the default and I checked all the ports and parameters of the driver etc..

However with everything apparently works, if you print a job goes into the print queue, is sitting there for a few seconds, then disappears, nothing prints not, nothing happens, the printer itself doesn't even make a noise.

I tried the printer on my Win7 machine, works perfectly. I tested the USB ports and cable, no problem there.

I have worked through many documents of troubleshooting on the 1510, including the spool of printer etc..

I reinstalled the drivers and the software several times, the same result each time, see the printer XP is by default but when printing nothing happens.

I'm getting closer to return the printer.

    Thank you

Recently I bought HP Deskjet 1510, but it will not be printed.

When I click on print a word document, it goes into the queue but then disappears after a few seconds - and the printer does nothing.

I tried troubleshooting, but it is said that there is no problem. I've loaded everything that was on the CD that came with the printer and bought the right USB cable, so have no idea why it does not print... Everything works fine (scan, copy)...

Any help would be much appreciated!

I discovered that it was nothing wrong with the printer, just with my computer. Has had enough of trying to solve problem so abandoned my computer windows7 and bought a new printer and windows 8.1 works perfectly. see you soon

  • hp deskjet 1510 printing too dark

    Hello

As says the subject, my HP Deskjet 1510 printer is printing too dark. Does anyone know how to change this?

    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply.

You try to print a photo, if so what program? If you print word documents, try printing in draft mode.

I would like you open the printer from the desktop icon or go to Start> all programs> HP> Deskjet 1510> 1510 Deskjet series. The Printer Wizard, click the estimated ink levels> Services> print quality diagnostic report, not this dark printing page as well?

    Hello

I have trouble to print a document created on the Publisher, then printed on pdf file on a page A4 HP 1510 series.

The pdf file is shrunk because even my document margin is 10 mm,

a default margin seems to be put in place by default 25 mm.

I understand that this printer needs a border (or a minimum margin).

But where can I change this default configuration?

    Hello

Thise are not a print margins, but the margins of the PDF of the file itself, when you use Adobe Reader, who may not be changed, an editor would be necessary for such a.

Select the Fit in the resize options, click Properties and easurement that paper size is selected.

There will be some margins, what are the limits of your printer, but the margins will be as follows (the PDF itself unless have margins more due to a different scale of size, do not forget to review the preview pane before printing.)

You can find the minimum margins for your printer under "specifications of paper output > margins below:

  • HP Deskjet 1510: Printing can not see the characters in the text box

my printer cannot print text but it prints the pictures ok

    Hi derrylahan,

We will first determine if any black ink comes out of your printer.

This document describes how to check the ink levels and how to print an alignment page.  You should check you have black ink in your cartridge and you should see black on the alignment page printing.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-1510-all-in-one-printer-series/5157551/document/c03803074/

If you do not see the black ink on the page, you should do a cleaning of the cartridge.

If you still haven't black ink, you may have to replace the ink cartridge.

Let me know how the printer performs on these alignment pages.  If black ink prints fine on this page, this indicates a problem with the selection of the driver or settings.

When I try to open HP DESKJET 1510 SERIES on my computer it looks like trying to connect to the Printer Wizard but never open and that's why I can't scan anything. How can I connect to the Printer Wizard? On the screen all I can see just - text by default - and it looks like loading but never opened.

Thanks for getting back to me @Amandazone

Looks like you have reduced, I don't know what else could cause this problem.

Since you said that you need the software for the analysis, I came to the top with some other ideas.

    You are able to try this;

    1. Open all programs
    2. Locate / expand your HP folder
    3. Locate/expand your HP Deskjet 1510 case
    4. Try to open HP Scanand see if it will scan

If it will not scan, you can try the steps outlined in this document;  HP scanning software is not open or Scan to a printer using a USB in Windows.

    Another option would be to scan without using HP software;

You can find on theseoptionsScan how-to: Windows 7

Please let me know the results of scanning HP, and what happens when you try to scan without the HP software.

I look forward to hear from you!

  • HP Deskjet 1510 - two-sided printing

I can't print both sides. Quite true settings. But I don't check duplex function. How do I book? My OS is Windows XP 32-bit.

The printer HP Deskjet 1510 cannot perform automatic duplex printing, it must be done manually. I'll tell how you to print double-sided of the Microsoft Word application. The same procedure can be used to print from other applications:

To print a single document Page 2 faces:

    (1) load a single sheet of paper in the input tray.

    (2) open the Microsoft Word document and choose file > print.

    (3) in the print window, enter 1 next to the pages option.

    (4) click on print. This example displays the first page of the document.

    (5) turn the printed page and place it in the tray.

    (6) now print the second page by following steps 1-3 above and who enters the 2 next to the option pages.

To print a document of several Page 2 face:

    (1) load a stack of media or the number of sheets needed for the print job in tray.

    (2) open the Microsoft Word document and choose file > print.

    (3) now, print all the odd numbered pages of the document first. To do this in the print, enter all the odd numbers next to option pages separated by commas. Ex: If you have a 6 page document, enter 1,3,5 next to the section pages.

    (4) click on print and will print the odd pages.

    (5) then, take the stack of printed pages, flip and load it into the input tray.

    (6) now print even pages by following steps 1-3 above and enter all the numbers next to pages option: separating with comma. Ex: If you have a 6 page document, enter 2,4,6 next to the section pages.

    (7) click on print and will print the even pages.

    I hope this helps.

  • DeskJet 1510 print borderless photos.

I don't seem to have an option for printing borderless photos. Am I missing something?

Borderless photo printing option is available with the Photosmart series printers and Officejet, whose prices are slightly higher. Unfortunately, this option is currently not available on the Deskjet 1510.

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad to hear you like your printer of 1510. Thank you for being a customer of HP.

  • Set of pictures of 92 DPI to 300 DPI. Valid for printing?

    Hello

I worked on a flyer for a new client and it is almost ready for printing. Earlier, I discovered that all the photos that the customer provided are 92 DPI (dimensions: 4288px x 2848px), which means that they are not fit for printing. (The photos were taken by a photographer a year.)

    I tried the following solution:

    -J' adjusted the photos at 300 DPI (Image > size of the Image...);

    -It automatically changed the dimensions to 11000 x 9000 (or something);

    -J' set the dimensions to the original size (4288px x 2848px);

-J' saved photos (new name & folder ofc).

Everything seems to look valid, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with what I've done and if these pictures are not suitable for printing (Professional) after this 'conversion '.

    Tanks in advance!

If I can sum this up, I think it will make things easier for you until you are comfortable with the basics of imaging digital.

You have a file to 4288px x 2848px, but the resolution is reported to 92 DPI. The printer wants to 300ppi.

Maybe you don't want to get into a debate with him and you want to just work accomplished.

    No problem.

You turn off resampling, change 92 to 300 and save. Your pixels are intact and not vitiated.

When you look back at him in the size of the Image, it will print at 14.293 x 9.493 in or 36.31 x 24,11 cm at 300 dpi.

Maybe your printer just don't care and it can scale down to fit your brochure.

Maybe it will remind you and ask of 6.5 x 4.1 in @ 300 dpi

No problem. Image > Image size check of resampling. Type 6.5 inches. It will be 6.5 x 4.3 to maintain proportions.

Click OK. The final size is 6.5 x 4.3 to 300 ppi. Dimensions in pixels are 1950 x 1295 px.  You lost pixels, but the density is always 300.

Of course, to register under... and rename it to keep your original file intact.

Image > duplicate is a good command to learn if you want to keep your original and enjoy down the copy of the worksheet.

TIFF or PSD, regardless of the printer wants. The loss of files formats such as JPEG.

  • Company printer says that I need to change the images at 300 dpi

I received the email after my client. in referance in the link with the graphics images folder, I used to create a brochure.

    • We check the files and they are 72 dpi, no bleeding and RGB. You will need to correct the files. We need at least 300 dpi and 1/8-inch serving on all 4 faces, and we also CMYK.

I've corrected the purge of 1/8 I would have known better on that, however I can't fix the 72 dpi as Indesign any images in the program and does not alter the images at all then it exports the original images, so I have nothing to do with it.

Inorder to 300 dpi is taking in photoshop and change the resolution, but this should not be necessary. y at - it something I can do to make this happy society.

    1. change the images in 300 dpi?

2 and everything set up a CMYK (how I do that)

This message is urgent because the customer is waiting thank you in advance for your help.

If I may ask, why do you recommend the compression of the image of none?

Even assuming that you have some problems with a JPEG compression of color images and grayscale, there is no reason why lossless ZIP 8 bit (for color images and grayscale) and CCITT Group 4 compression (for monochrome images) should not be used.

Regarding our recommendations at Adobe, it is recommended to use the Automatic (JPEG) / best quality compression settings. These parameters to differentiate images with sharp lines and vector as characteristics (for example, most screenshots) and photographic images. In the first case, the Automatic (JPEG) defining the uses ZIP compression and in the latter case, the JPEG compression. For images photographic high resolution, you would be very wrong to the notice of actual loss in quality between an uncompressed and JPEG image compressed during printing.
