  I understand that you have tried to uninstall and reinstall again already, but please try the following steps and let me know if you are able to complete a successful installation later.

  1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
  2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
  3. The new software - uninstall the printer software Instructions
  4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
  5. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  I understand that this update of the printer is not installed. I will do my best to help you, and there are a few options to consider:

  You can skip this update and all other HP updates. Updates are not essential in the slightest. If that's what you want to do, you can uninstall HP updates from Control Panel, and then restart the computer.

  If you want the update has been installed, you must uninstall and reinstall the printer software. You may use the software update to install this update.

  I called the support in Bulgaria, but the cause has not yet been identified. :-(

  Update (10/03/2015): the problem was caused by the original-black cartridge - which came with the printer. It has been cleaned and now everything works fine.

• DeskJet d2680: printer itself settles not on computer

  I installed everything correctly the first time and seemed to have a test normal printing.

  However, when I tried to print a text document there skip lines. Help suggested I remove the driver and reinstall. I uninstalled all the software and uninstalled the printer from the Device Manager.  When the installation came to the part where it installs the printer, the computer has detected the printer, it will not install on the computer.  Any suggestions?   I see that after updating to Windows 10 you lost printing wireless Deskjet 3000.  I should be able to provide a few suggestions that may fix the problem.  I know that you have reinstalled several times without success.  I'm going to recommend that uninstall you the HP software, one more.   Once the uninstall is complete, it would be wise to perform a cleanup of the computer disk. A disk cleanup will improve the performance of the computer and remove the temporary files that may cause problems during the installation of the software. Once disk cleanup you must restart the computer and reinstall the HP software.

  How do you have the printer connected to the computer?  If the printer is connected wireless, then it is possible that a firewall in the Windows operating system has been turned on and is now blocking of scanning.  I recommend to download HP Print and Scan doctor.  With printing and scanning doctor, you can temporarily disable the firewall that may block the printer from the computer.  If the printer is found, you need to turn your firewall on back to make sure that your computer is blocked.

  To temporarily turn off the firewall:

  1. Download and open the Print and Scan Doctor
  2. Click on 'Network' at the top of the window
  3. Click on 'firewall troubleshooting. "
  4. Select the firewall and disable

  Launch the software HP again to see if the printer is located.  If the printer is not found, then you want to communicate with your provider of firewall while allowing access to the printer to the computer.

  I can't get my DeskJet 895Cse to install on my ThinkPad corporate recently updated (for Windows 7). This machine is 64-bit. The company controls access to windows update - no authorized automatic connection.

  I have a 32-bit personal ThinkPad that I've upgraded to windows 7 and the deskjet installed correctly by using the windows update connection.

  How can I get the correct direct drivers so that I can thumbdrive load into my corporate ThinkPad?

  There are two possibilities:

  1. Go to start, devices and printers, add printer, seleect some dummy port as LPT1:, and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right.  (This is different from the normal Windows Update and may be feasible).  The list will take several minutes to update, after that, you can cancel the installation and then simply plug the USB cable to the Deskjet 895 and the pritner would install automatically.
  2. If the foregoing is blocked from another computer then visit the Microsoft Update Catalog site using IE (no other browsers not supported).  Search for Deskjet 895cse and the driver for Windows 7 64-bit is the file which is 11.6 Mb in size.

  I then reinstalled the far Dot Net (downloaded via the HP Web site) and the "Full Feature" software (also courtesy of the HP site) this day... and...

  .. even the same.

  In short - I tried:

  • Remove all previous installations of HP and Dot Net 3.5 software
  • Relocation of all of the above
  • 4 x different USB cords
  • All the different USB ports on my PC
  • Swearing and the curse (usually works with Microsoft Products only)

  The only thing I have NOT tried, is witch Craft and Country dance.

  Any other suggestions would be very appreciated...

  Update...

  I completely erased from my hard drive and reinstalled XP, SP3/Net fix...

  The printer is installed the first time.

  If everything is working now.

  There was something installed hidden somewhere that the installation process didn't like.

  I see you are having problems installing USB.  I would like to help.

  I recommend you to perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  I would recommend also following USB Printer Installation troubleshooting.
